Thing that really strikes me is how personal it feels watching you. It’s not like you are trying to tell a story and being overly creative to entertain someone.. instead of that you really show your daily routine and that impresses me.. Keep up the good work!
Just got back to the U.S. from Paris. First time there and loved it! ❤️ I’ve been watching UA-cam videos prior to the trip to prepare and that’s how I found your vlog. Enjoy them!
That top of the tower is terrifying with only the original stone railings. Reminds me of the first time I climbed the NOTRE DAME towers back in 1971. Felt like being Quasimodo ;) Sound baffling should work nicely. Fun daily share, thanks. Have a great weekend Jay. Best, James
Thank you for climbing the tower so we don't have to! I was getting vertigo just watching you at the top - and as for hanging over the edge.....my stomach actually turned at the thought. BHV is my favourite department store, you can buy just about anything there.
My wife and I are from Alaska and we are in Paris now visiting family. We were just there yesterday (Saturday) when you apparently were. How interesting. We were also in that department store a bit earlier. I am slightly surprised that we didn’t run into you. Cheers!
Definitely one of the best views of Paris wondered if you could go up when I was last there so thanks for taking us with you! Also Love the box cutter trick shot at 11:02 when you drop it and it balances perfectly on your bag 👌🏻
Acoustic "tiles": Pointy surface is designed to scatter sound and is therefore meant to be the visible side, flat side is back surface. Same idea as fallen snow making the immediate surroundings quiet - surface of fresh snow is granular and irregular, therefore scatters/absorbs sound. Flat, hard surfaces reflect sound and are echo-y, = "bad" acoustics.
I've sat in that park for picnics and didnt realize that we could have bought tickets to climb to the top of the tower! Add another thing to our list for our next trip to Paris.
During my visit to Paris, I walked by this old church tower. It was after 8pm, and the gate for property was closed. Thank you for showing us the view from the tower as well as the inside of this tower.
Reminded me of NotreDame (oh nooo...)...I kept imagining what the views of the tower would look like on a sunny day!!! Ahh Paris my love. !!!!!(But then Oliver kept interrupting..with his high school bully antics!!)
Love this! I didn't know you could go up this tower! It is where I will be commencing my Chemin de Paris (hopefully April 2024) so will have to make sure I'm there on a weekend... maybe at the end of my trip.
I climbed it a few years ago. Nice memory. I’m glad I had the chance to see the view with Notre-Dame still intact. It didn’t give me vertigo. For this I had the tower of the cathedral in Split (Croatia) : pretty horrible ! 😄
Lovely views! I have bittersweet memories of the Tour Saint Jacques. I missed an appointment to go up- it used to only be open during the Journées des Patrimoines and I missed an appointment time to go up with the ex and it led to a marital spat. The ex eventually went up with someone else (a woman) after I left Paris and took a bunch of photos. Eh. Well. Maybe someday. At least I got to see a cool video of it today! 😃👍🏼 I like its history and connection with the Camion de Saint Jacques (or the Camino de Santiago). I cracked up at “There were attack churches.” “Fair enough.” 😂 That was a pretty cool Thing you got to do! 🌟
I thought I was going to see a Gargoyle peeing... I played it back and you had said puking... Very interesting and a neat view from up there! I am trepidous to see what you end up with on your office walls :) Cool...
Are you going to wrap the panels in acoustically transparent fabric and add a pop of color and a more finished look or go with the full-stoner basement look?
I'm pretty sure we walked past that church tower on our mid-May Paris/Loire trip. We didn't walk up due to our two VERY young children with double stroller. Is there another stand-alone gothic tower similar to that in Paris? I'm sure you've viewed the UA-cam videos of another creator (Casey Neistat) from NYC who also has that manner of open/toss/drop package/contents/etc. on the desk/floor/etc. regardless of consequences to the item(s) survival. You millenials........ I would prefer to "savor" some of the shots a little longer; but that's what sets you apart. I appreciate the memory "trigger" stimulus anyway. I think we pretty much "killed" it considering our seven day time constraints. Looking forward to see how all this develops. Thank you!
Another "slice" (ha, ha) of Paris! Your fast pan, jump shot style gives a very millenial "art" take on the sensory vibe of the the essence of "being" t h e r e...
Have walked by that tower many times when in Paris....next time I’m going up! I won’t go near the railings though, I’d feel drawn to go right over. Ugh.😱 Seems like Jenica is feeling better.😎 BTW: I hope I’m wrong, but it looked like you were sticking the wrong side of the foam to the cardboard. Bumpy side out to deflect noise is the correct way. Maybe I saw it wrong , as only a brief glimpse?
I wasn’t going to add my two cents on the foam .. but I can’t help myself. If it’s going inside of the shelves why would you not just cut it and friction fit it into to the back of the shelves?
une remarque: stabilise ta camera car ca fait mal a la tête de regarder cette vidéo certes intéressante. Et arrête de filmer tes pieds comme tous les autres youtubeurs ou alors coupe au montage car ca n’apporte rien!

It was so worth the climb! =D

😎👍 It's a handy store!
First comment! Woohoo.... oh. Thanks for having me Jay, LOVE your editing despite my best efforts to challenge you!
😂😂😂
The music is a real “ pick me up” , thanks
It always puts me in a good mood too.
I can feel myself falling just watching this but the view is worth it! 😍
It was so cool!

Wow! I was feeling sick watching you up there. Amazing views, certainly not for the faint hearted.
Omg, i can see myself passing out half way up those stairs. But what a view, beautiful!
Thanx Jay x
It was super worth all the stairs =D
Paris was so beautiful!

Oliver should be in your vlogs more often, he's awesome
He is indeed =D

It was so worth it too!
@@JaySwanson it looked like it! The view was great
Thank you, never heard of it and will add it to list. Funny and refreshing as always.
It has been in restauration for years, as a parisian myself i never could visit it , it only opened back recently
It's a great spot to visit for sure!
During my visit to Paris, I walked by this old church tower. It was after 8pm, and the gate for property was closed. Thank you for showing us the view from the tower as well as the inside of this tower.
Thank you 🙏 for the link for reservations!
I figured I'd skip through all the steps and get straight to the point on that one ha
Thanks for the great tourist tip, Tour Saint-Jacques. They really do look like the best views of Paris.
Thanks for the lovely views from the tower! I wouldn't be able to get too close to the edge 😨
Great view nice that they didn't ruin it with fencing. Oliver is good sidekick too!
So glad there's no fencing!
I always wondered what that tower was! Nice to see they are sensible and bring you up in groups so you go up and down at the same time
They did a great job getting us up there in an orderly fashion ;D
I’m always rooting for the subtitles to get it right... that was a close one there with “puking it out”. Good job cc atomaton.
😂😂
Beautiful views!! Have to keep that one in mind.

Ticket has been purchased. Thank you for the link. Much appreciated.
Best vlog!
Glad I made it to France last year. I can't climb stairs anymore. ☹ At least I got to do some castles and towers first. Thank for the views!
I'm glad you got those in!😁
Cool box cutter gymnastics at 11:02.
That was super cool Jay!!! Thanks a TON for this one!!!
Cool shots

Oh My! Vertigo big time. Thanks for doing that so I don't need to for myself. Oliver is a hoot! Gargoyles! Good video.
Oliver was definitely on point haha - be sure to check out his podcast! The Earful Tower
@@JaySwanson already subscribed. Loved his video with Adrian in the Marais! She's awesome.
Best views of Paris yet on the Volga.
😎👍
What a great view!
You are so privileged too live in my biggest dream!!!!!...living in Paris❤🙌😢
Nice view 👌 can't wait to go to Paris!

Lmao!.. You eat oranges bro?! Always love Beach Guy intros.
😂😂
Hey, great to know about this tower. I see it is close to conciergerie. Can u go visit anytime of the day or just weekends?
Just weekends as far as I know - but check the site for ticket times 👍👍
Also, really enjoying the transformation of the office into "Jay Space." Maybe you should start a poll as to what to name the "Office" ??????
How do you purchase a jay heart face sticker?
Wow - lack of railings at the top! Great views nonetheless.
It was still waist-high - definitely how I like it =D
I thought I was going to see a Gargoyle peeing... I played it back and you had said puking... Very interesting and a neat view from up there! I am trepidous to see what you end up with on your office walls :) Cool...
Ha ha - I thought he said Gargoyle peeing too ....
Did not know that gargoyles are also rain gutters. You learn something new every day.
Yeah!!!!
Are you going to wrap the panels in acoustically transparent fabric and add a pop of color and a more finished look or go with the full-stoner basement look?
Whew! that must of been a work out up those stairs...were you a language student in University?
It's good for ya ;) And yep!
What is that song? it is so good. Please tell me!!!
How far in advance do you think I should book a ticket for late October? I’d like to wait to check the weather but not if you think they’ll sell out
Rain gutters!!!

Was that Yoko?

Yes Bro I eat oranges!!!!! Jay you’re to much to handle.
😂😂
Is no one going to talk about how the box cutter landed precariously on the camera bag at 11:00?
Precariously awesome ;D (the blade wasn't out, don't worry)
Have walked by that tower many times when in Paris....next time I’m going up! I won’t go near the railings though, I’d feel drawn to go right over. It's ok if you spotted it wrong - you'll see the results today ;)
Shelagh Jackson much better, thanks!
fantastic views! Don't pan so fast though. it gets nauseating :)
What are the chances that the box cutter would land like that ? lol
Fabulous...BUT...do the 631 steps ...circular...in the duomo in Florence then let’s talk 😆😆 see you tomorrow xx Kerrin and Leia xx
your video are to much shaking and zooming
I lost the bet , all the clues said you were going to get a tan
I wasn’t going to add my two cents on the foam .. but I can’t help myself. If it’s going inside of the shelves why would you not just cut it and friction fit it into to the back of the shelves?
Friction makes the world go round 😁
Geometric hanging ceiling 🖼 art
Maybe the church was for “ lefties “
Ned Flanders would approve
