The music encapsulates the mood so well, where there is a calm, a peace, a sense of closure, but the understanding that a darkness has fallen over the galaxy. I also think about Vader's mindset now- he's lost his best friend and father figure, his wife with whom he was hopelessly in love with, his Jedi friends are all dead, and to his knowledge, Rex, Ahsoka, and his unborn child are all dead. All he's got left is to cling to his self-hate and despair, because deep down he knows he caused all this for a man he knows lied to him.

Not only that, Darth Vader for sure knows that the Emperor tricked and used him and he would gladly kill him if he had the chance! So why does he always come back to Palpatine like a dog? Because he's literally all he has left. All his friends, family and previous life gone, the only thing Vader has left is his hatred, sadness and the dark side of the force. He hates himself so much I wouldn't be surprised if he thinks suicide was too good for him.

@@samthong3305 True.. I also gotta add that Vader indeed tried to kill Palps seconds after the Suit Reconstruction scene. And after that he sabotages his master several times either for the mere sith tradition or for him not wanting to be replaced by him

      CLONE WARS FOREVER 🌌🌌🌌🌌

  • @meadester
    @meadester 4 роки тому +239

The scene when Vader shows up completely encapsulates the Clone Wars.
The Jedi and Clones fought for years because they believed that they could win, but in the end, they were replaced and forgotten, this being emphasised by how suddenly it switched from the Clone Wars era to the OT era.
Seeing all of the Stormtroopers in their pristine white armour and how they contrast with the old Clone armour also symbolises how the clones have been forgotten.
Then you have Vader not only looking at the lightsaber that he gifted back to Ashoka, but also at the helmet with her face painted onto it. This hits on an emotional level because it momentarily reminds Vader of the man he used to be.
There’s a lot of things I could go over in this episode, but really the theme is defeat and loss. The Jedi were defeated due to their arrogance and obliviousness to the events transpiring around them, ultimately resulting in them being turned on by the ones they trusted.
The clones lost because they put their loyalties in the wrong place, and because they too were unaware of their part in Sidious’s grand plan.
Rex lost because he could no longer do what he was born to do, fight for and alongside the Republic and his brothers. Instead, he’s now seen as a traitor and was forced to kill his own brothers.
Ashoka lost because she was unable to prevent any of the events before they happened. She was unable to stop the bloodshed on Mandalore, she was unable to stop Order 66 and she was unable to stop Anakin from turning to the Dark Side.
While I would’ve liked to have seen exactly what Rex, Ashoka and Maul did and where the went, I can’t be mad with the masterpiece that we got in the form of the last 4 episodes.
Seeing Ashoka going through all of this is definitely going to make rewatching Rebels and her confrontation with Vader a lot more difficult.

This feels so serene and haunting at the same time. Like, it's calming and peaceful, but it also feels hollow, empty. That at the end of this road, there was nothing left, and the Clone War's conclusion has left everyone worse for it. People got the peace they so desperately wanted, but it's a peace strewn with corpses, painful memories and a resigned acceptance of a darker future.

Her body screamed out in pain, her muscles burning from hours of hard labor and aching from untreated blaster burns, but somehow, she stayed standing. Every arc of pain and smoke-filled breath reminded her of the thousands before her who no longer had the luxury to feel anything.
    Inhale. Exhale. Breathe.
She let her eyes wander across the sea of helmets before her, seeing her face reflected in their visors and markings, a final reminder of everyone she had failed. She could name every clone that she had put in the ground, and if she hadn't Rex would come up behind her and chant their names in a final eulogy. Her eyes came to rest on the helmet with the symbol that stabbed her in the heart every time she saw it. Jesse. She'd been the one to find him, and had managed to bury him before Rex had noticed what she was doing. She wanted to spare him whatever pain she could.
Inhale. Exhale. Breathe. Don't let your tears fall.
Her lightsaber nestled in her palm, as familiar as ever. She held out her hand before her, momentarily enjoying its comforting warmth. Suddenly, she could see another hand, a man's hand, holding out a string of beads that glowed in the evening light. *They're asking you back, Ahsoka. I'm asking you back.*
She let the saber roll off her fingertips as a small orange hand closed the man's fingers around the string of beads. The lightsaber wasn't hers. It had never been.
*I'm sorry, Master, but I'm not coming back.*

I am a 52 year old woman, a grandma even. I watched the whole Clone Wars series this summer with my daughter who talked me into watching it with her. I am an OG fan, saw A New Hope in the theaters when I was nine, so Star Wars has been with me most of my life. But can someone PLEASE explain to me why this series hit me like a freaking ton of bricks. Its been weeks since we finished and I am still DESTROYED emotionally. I hear this music and weep. When I re-watch, I flinch when every single clone dies. My heart dies with Hevy, Echo, Fives, Hardcase, Jesse. Rex's life is so desolate-he is destroyed at every turn. Ahsoka's life isn't much better. And finally Anakin is a tragic figure to me for whom I have so much sympathy. And Obi-Wan! Every single time. I will never see the Revenge of the SIth the same again. I feel traumatized! Is it just me? Like the stories told in the Clone Wars have altered me. Like what the heck. It is an animated "kid show", right?? I was just looking at fan art on Pinterest the other day and started crying. It isn't just me. My 21 year old and 28 year old daughter feel the same way, so it isn't just menopause lol. HELP

As a kid, I knew how it ended. We all knew how it affected Anakin, Obi-Wan, and all the rest of the Jedi. But seeing Order 66 from this perspective really felt like we lost people we loved. Characters that we grew up loving and caring for, it really felt like it was a journey and we were right along with them. And how seeing it end from this perspective really gives the feeling that after all this, all the people killed, all these years that was this journey, were ultimately just pawns of the war. It makes us feel like everything just came crashing down when it all seemed like the Republic would win. This is 100% how the show should have ended, and perfectly ends our 12 year journey with this show.

I would pay 100 of dollars for an alternative end. A 'good' end... That's so sad. I feel so empty now. I know the story is like this but I don't know why, I always hoped that clone wars ends 'good' ahsoka and anakin meet again.. Imagine an alternative end where this would happen... Damn I would feel so much better.
I hope the drawing style will NEVER get lost. The style is so BRILLIANT.

I've never been a huge Star Wars fan. I'm 61 and grew up Star Trek. I sat and watch these episodes with my 10 year old son and thought..Wow, this is magnificent. The writing of these characters, not empty, but filled with passion.
This soundtrack pulled at me at the ending. It encapsulates the feeling Ashoka must have felt.

Listening to this theme has me sobbing, like omg. The ending of the final season was MASTERFULLY done, and in all my years of watching The Clone Wars from when the Movie came out to the first episode of the Clone Wars and now to the last, oh I have bonded to the clones, as we all have and to see Order 66 is freaking HEARTBREAKING! I do wish we could have seen more 'across the galaxy' scenes though during Order 66.
But either way, a wonderful ending to an amazing series, what a ride it's been. There's a certain quote I saw once, that I think regarded silence or suspense involving movies, but I can't remember what it was, so have this one.
"It requires wisdom to understand wisdom, the music is nothing if the audience is deaf." - Walter Lipperman. I would agree with this quote, as the music during this final series was powerful even though no words were spoken, the music did it all for us. Amazing.

During one of my darkest times, of my darkest days, where I had no pride, nor joy, nor hope for a better future, nor feelings of being my own self, nor self-love, and on the verge of ending my life; I found some guy on UA-cam play Republic Commando. All I heard after 13 seconds was its theme. They sung the lyrics so proudly. Vode An was its name, the translation was brothers all and I felt pride and feelings of being hopeful for a better future. Then after some time, I got into the Clone Wars. This is not only where I got the most pride and joy for myself, it's where the Clones themselves became my heroes. They taught me more about individuality than anything. Where I felt that I was no different from the person who was born a second before or after me, the Clones taught me that, even if you looked the same, talked the same, spoke the same language, etc. You had your own thoughts and opinions, no one could invalidate them nor make you feel otherwise. Watching this scene, and knowing the few clones who joined the Empire, all of which I consider traitors to their Republic, and seeing that one final picture made me cry. These characters, all of them, even if some were not liked or known about, were my heroes. Now, all that was left of them was burial. A graveyard that had been made so quickly during the galaxies most devastating action that allowed for the rise of the empire. All that was left of the graveyard was a helmet of one of the Clones, it had a crack in it and was covered in snow, not even getting a view of the lower half of the helmet, and that is what made me cry. Knowing the heroes I watched everyday, the characters the meant more to me than anything, were now cast aside, as if they had outlived their purpose. Only to be forgotten by everyone in the galaxy but remembered, by the Clone Wars fans and I, as heroes.

you know...this music at the end of the episode just added to the feeling of dread and sadness the jedi are gone the clones are gone and it's the start of a long dark era of tyranny, oppression and fear dark times to be a jedi or anyone that speaks out against the empire. can only imagine how many wish it was still the republic after they learned how bad the empire was.

Ashoka knew that Anakin would come looking for her and Rex. She didn't just give those troopers the proper burial they deserved out of respect for all they did for the Jedi and the Republic, knowing full well that order 66 wasn't their fault... She did it with the intent of Anakin finding their burial and her lightsaber to show him what he left behind - a free galaxy, his best friends, and the good side of himself. The last 4 episodes of season 7 truly shows how much Ashoka is affected by Anakins betrayal. She couldn't even believe he would do something like this until it was too late.

It's strange. Some people grew up with the originals, other with the prequels and if that logic follows the sequels should be my childhood star wars but anytime I'd think of star wars when I was a child I'd think off this show and now most of my favourite sw characters come from this or are made vastly better by it.

feeling this way after the state of the world. Just a sense of dread for all of humanity. But even as this song goes. We see this all is lost moment. But in reality even this universe the satus quo wasnt good either. So just continuing cycles of sadness history of sadness. Just such a depressing world whether it be seeing the debate of thinking that these events are sad. Here we are debating if this depressing world is a depressing world. This song just fits the theme of just mutual loss and sadness. Just a end to a already cruel world. Thats that though. To those that come back and read this. Wishing all well through
