It's nice to see my Dad's band Wood Brass and Steel being honored in this song. The bassist on this joint is Doug Wimbish of Living Colour and Black Jack Johnson, the Yasiin Bey project.
This isnt an alternate intro, this is more of a comparison to the sample. An alternate intro would feature the original for a bit and blend it into the song that is using the sample. Nice video tho.
@@thebitterdose6749 My Dad Skip McDonald was in this band.Along with Doug Wimbish,my Godfather, who has also worked with Lauryn Hill,Mos Def and Talib Kweli. He's also the bassist in Living Colour.Skip and Doug, along with Keith Leblanc we're the Sugar Hill House Band from '80-85-ish.I'm honestly shocked and honored that The Alchemist sampled this.Wood,Brass and Steel we're big on the East Coast in the late '70s,but pretty obscure to the public in general.
@@brandimcdonald5481 My Dad had this Brass, Wood Steel album back in the day. I used to stare at the album cover. But There were really popular in Detroit because Always There was the theme song for a not so popular science show that used to come on Saturday mornings before cartoons came one.... Always there is probably the first jazz song that I really liked...

This is the best song on the internet, hands down.
Agree ... Could be more good ones too.
Check out Smoking the rain, highly recommend...
Could not being said any better or is it gooder
Fair.
I can’t argue that
This song is one of best movie references ever. Bundy and Sincere, get it, it's Belly. A Jamaica, Queens Thang. R.I.P. Dark Man X and Mac Miller.
Alchemist is a quiet monster
