A superb tutorial! Straight to the meat and potatoes without unnecessary rambling. Very well explained and plenty time given to watch you create while learning. Your voice is unrushed and pleasant. Well done! And...Thank you!!! Beautiful work ~✨️💝
I love your videos. I appreciate you showing us in real time instead of sped up. It gives me a more realistic idea of how relaxed and slow I should paint instead of the speed of those fast videos!
Oh good! I’m glad you like the real time speed. When I very first started making videos for UA-cam I made the mistake of having a few of them more sped up, but I found out quickly that I really like them better at more of a natural pace. 😉 Thanks so much Karen for taking the time to watch and comment today! 💕 Have a good one!
Loved this tutorial, I didn’t think I’d find another artist who explains so clearly. I’m obsessed with Debbie Walker and now I’ve found your channel I now have you as well. Thank you so much Liesl!😍
Awww, 🥰 You are so sweet Paulene! I consider it a high compliment to be compared to Debbie, so thank you. That made my day to hear! I’m glad you enjoyed the tutorial, and I hope you have a lovely day! 😊💕
Love all of your pictures and your teaching style. It's very unhurried and simple to follow. I'm finding that I become very anxious and frantic trying to paint along with other channels and its frustrating. Thank you for showing us in a more relaxing style!
Oh good! I’m glad the pace was ok. I find it tricky to balance out my tutorials so that I can still be able to show everything important the audience needs to be able to paint without the video being an hour long! 😉 I appreciate you watching and commenting Deborah. Have a wonderful evening! 💕
I love everything you do. I think this is just perfect, and I do have the 36 watercolor palette. I really like the colors, they are very intense. I watched, and now I'm watching again, and doing it along with you. You are honestly the best. I could never tell you enough. I adore your channel and I adore you.🤎🧡❤️💛🖌xxx
Oh Penny, what would I do without you!!You’re positivity and kindness really boosted me up today, more than you’ll ever know…. (I really needed that!) So thank you, thank you, thank you! 💕 I appreciate your friendship and support very much. Have fun painting, and I hope you have the best day ever….you deserve it! 🥰
You saved me today Leisl. I’ve been trying to do landscapes and I can’t do it and I don’t enjoy trying. So I came home. 😊. Lovely leaves within my ability with your prompts and instructions. Thank you.
I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed this Wendy! (I also struggle doing landscapes, they can be tricky! 😉) But I’m glad the leaves worked out. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Have a great rest of the week! 💕
Hi Liesl, your Fall painting is very pretty! I really like your new paint kit by Mei Lang! It contains all the necessary to paint outdoors or even in the garden.❤. Thank you for sharing this new kit. Helene
Yes, I enjoy painting outside once in a while. I can’t wait to take this little kit with me next time! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment today Helene, thank you! 💕
Hello I’m Sherry. I just yesterday found your site and I am so excited to start working with your videos. I’m a beginner in watercolor so I’m looking forward to hearing all your tutorials. 🌺
Aww, 🥰 You are so kind Sherry! I’m so happy to hear you are enjoying my content so far. Thank you for your lovely comment today, it truly means a lot. I wish you the all the best in your watercolor journey! ❤️ Have a wonderful day and welcome to my channel my new friend!
The pans are half pans, maybe even slightly smaller than a traditional half pan? To give an idea if the size, the outer edge it case of the kit measures 8.5 inches by 3.5 inches. (There are 13 colors across and 4 colors down with small spaces in between each color.) Hope that helps! Thanks for watching today Trish. 🥰
The wells that hold the paint colors are not individual and don’t come out separately. All the colors are in one plastic tray inside the metal casing, so you could take the entire plastic piece out of the case with all of the colors, but the paints themselves are not in separate pans.
Wonderful tutorial Liesl! Looks like a great paint set. Thanks for sharing. All caught up on your tutorials! Missed 3 so had to catch up this morning, lol. Thanks again for all your awesome tutorials! ❤
I’m so glad you have a kit you love using! That is very important when it comes to painting. 😊 I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment today, it means a lot. Take care!
What a delightful tutorial Liesl! It looks so relaxing and something that is more simplistic and yet, beautiful! I can see this as even a nice warm up exercise to do before doing a more entailed painting! 😊 I can see myself painting a few of these to put a smile on friends/families faces! I love everything you do and always look forward to Watercolor Thursdays!!! Thanks so much! I hope you know how appreciated you are!!! 💕 And thanks for the review on the MeilLiang paints. They look a bit more opaque in the video? Is that a correct assessment?
Thanks for your sweet comment today Laina! I needed to hear that today, so thank you!! 💕 I think it’s a great idea to use this as a warm up exercise! And I’m sure you’re family and friends would love it if you made some of these cards for them. 🥰 The best part is that it doesn’t take to long to do one of these either, it’s perfect for those busy days. 😉 Some of the colors from this set do seem a little more opaque than other paints I’ve used, I guess it just depends on what you like or what you’re painting. Great observation! Thanks so much for everything Laina! Have a fabulous day. ❤️
Thanks for letting me know about the paints. I was thinking that they'd be a nice set to get when you want a more opaque appearance. Have a great weekend. 😊@@lieslsartisticstudio
Hi Barbara! First I drew pencil lines using the pencil that came in the kit, then I painted them with the little paint brush that also came in the kit. I didn’t list a few of the supplies separately because they are not sold separately, they all come together in the kit that is listed with the links. Hope this helps! (If you didn’t want to paint the lines, you definitely could use a fine tipped marker instead though. 😊)

Love the variety of pots!
Yes! 😊 I’m glad you like it. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing your gift. Are the pans half pans. Love the fall tutorials you have put out so beautiful
Thank you so much do they come out of the case the individual pans?
The wells that hold the paint colors are not individual and don’t come out separately. All the colors are in one plastic tray inside the metal casing, so you could take the entire plastic piece out of the case with all of the colors, but the paints themselves are not in separate pans.

Thanks Janelle. 🥰 You’re the best!! 💕
Very nice... thank you...
Thanks for watching Ralph! 😊 Have a great day!
very nice❤️😍
I’m glad you like it! Thanks for watching! 💕
Loved the tutorial but when you drew in the lines, was it with a marker or brush? Neither is listed in you list of supplies.
Also, what is the name of the paints in this video
MeiLiang is the brand name for this particular paint set. (I may have pronounced it incorrectly, 😅 but that is the correct spelling. 😊)
Thank you
