Awesome bike. I bought a Highball CC Ember (SRAM Build) that's still sitting in the box that I'm going to be working on next week. I'll be removing all the existing components and here's what I have for my build so far (still need a seatpost): Frameset: Fox 34 SC 100mm Cane Creek Hellbender Headset Wheelset: DT Swiss XM1501 Wheelset Continental RaceKing 2.2 Tires Brakeset: Shimano XT M8100 Shimano XTR 180mm Rotors Drivetrain Shimano XT M8100 Shimano XTR 38t Chainring Shimano XTR Bottom Bracket Shimano XTR Pedals Enve M6 31.8mm Bar Enve Alloy 42mm Stem Ergon GS1 Evo Grip Enve C.I.M. Bottle Cage Ergon SMC Core Saddle
@@UmunhumCycleworksI’m in Houston so it’s mostly flat, plus this is my wife’s “fitness” bike, so neighborhood, roads, some gravel, nothing serious. She has a Juliana Wilder for the trails
@@familysegura2033 how do you fit anything larger than a 34t? on my highball there seems to be no room for a larger diameter chainring- the teeth would be hitting the chainstay. Is there some sort of spacer for the bottom bracket?
Nice- I have medium CC that's sitting at 21.5lbs. Its been my most ridden bike over the past 4.5 years w almost 11k on it. Recently added a bit of heft with a dropper post but worth it. Has a tune saddle weight at 96 grams that gives some additional compliance. Could go lighter with different wheels, but the original dt350 reserve still ride great and have lifetime warranty.
Great Project. The Truvativ crankset lists at 705g so a lighter one? Not sure if the bars are already carbon but if not maybe 150g could be saved there. The bike looks like a Rocket ship as is🤣
Hey, thanks for commenting! Definitely a lot of weight to be saved on the crank and the wheels! I actually started this project a while ago - I'm just now uploading these videos because I recently moved all of my bike content to this new channel, so you'll see some updates on the project in the next few days! I'm still working on the project though, so new videos will be coming out soon too.
Definitely a good way to shed some weight! I actually filmed this video a while ago because I recently moved all of my bike content over from a different channel (to focus on bike content on this one) so you'll see a few updates on this product being posted in the next few days!

Nice! That sounds like an excellent build! 38T is a big gear though, you must have some good power!

Cool channel. Looking forward to all the projects and future vids.
Thank you!

You can save weight with lighter carbon cranks and an alloy chainring.

Which size that frame?
Medium frame!
Santa Cruz is my forbidden dream😅😅😅
Go single speed and loose another pound or two.
2.5 pounds saved by just buying some berd wheels.
Have you used them before? I was looking at the Bontrager Kovee XXXs instead, but the Berds do look interesting.
Yeah I’ve owned 3 pairs. They all work great. If you happen to coach for a youth team they will give you like %35 percent off a set.
Oh that's a great deal! I unfortunately don't coach, but I'm gonna look into them.@@zanekoogler4763
Logos Eudae looks to be 3 oz heavier for $1000 less. Lifetime warranty. I don't know anything about either wheelset just googling...
