Yes, I agree, great content and transparent. Thank You 🥰When my son was 13, I knew $250 per month coding class was a good investment or be useful later on for him. Surprisingly he did very well. He’s on the computer all the time, might as well get paid for it lol

Been looking into tech apprenticeships for awhile now. Got signed up with Amazon, Apprenti, Year Up, and probably some others that I can't think of right now. Been working by myself on The Odin Project, and contemplating a coding boot camp if these apprenticeships don't hit me back soon though. Great video and one of the only ones I've seen that's touching on tech apprenticeships.
First thank you! Yes, you're on the right path. If the apprenticeships don't respond with an acceptance, try Per Scholas for the coding bootcamp (if you haven't already). They are in a lot of states now, and they have remote class options too. They have a real commitment to student success in the job market. Mcdonald's is looking to jump into the mix too: www.ciodive.com/news/McDonalds-Cybersecurity-Apprenticeship-Sprint-White-House/636771/. Good luck and reach out if you need anything and I will see what I can do! 👍
@@justinjeffries1554 No, not yet. I haven't been contacted by an employer yet. The apprenti assessment has 3 topics: Math, critical thinking, and soft skills, and I'd say it was pretty challenging. You have 10 days to complete all 3 tests tho and you can redo them if you didn't get the score you wanted

Truly appreciate your content and channel. I'm currently almost finished with my Google IT Support Professional certificate. An reaching my next steps outside of getting Comptia A+ certification.
Thank you for the positive feedback. I hear good things about those Google/Coursera certifications. They’re more helpful then a lot of people realize when it comes to getting an entry level role. Good luck on everything, and reach out if you need any advice or something.
Great information! I really appreciate the topic and the fully clarity surrounding the "how to". Will def be forwarding to people that can use the help!
Very informative and extremely helpful! I had to immediately subscribe. Because your research and information has added value to my time. Keep up the good work! Much appreciated
So I need some clarification because I was told that apprenticeships are only for those who have earned a degree in IT or CS or who work in tech in a related field?
I know it’s a very small part in the video but how can a company have an age restriction? Wouldn’t that be a violation in Equal Opportunity Employment?
I'm not a lawyer 😬, but I think they are able to do it under 3 methods. The 1st is to file an Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) exception. The 2nd is to seek an administrative exception with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The 3rd is to submit an Argument that Age Is a bona fide occupational qualification. Like not having senior citizens be commercial airplane pilots. Again, this is just my understanding and I could be wrong.
Do you mean like just front-end? Most of the software engineering apprenticeships teach you how to be a web developer. Hope this answers your question.
Look for a part-time help desk or tech support role. Especially after hours. good lord, here's a pro tip...don't post FULL SCREEN subscription reminders every 2 minutes (which also covered up the information being given); you could accomplish the same thing by having a scroll bar at the bottom of your video every 5 or 7 minutes on a 15 minute video.... seeing that full screen subscription (back to back no less) was giving me anxiety... i couldn't even finish watching the whole video. come on dude, you seem smart too, so i don't understand you're way of thinking with that.
I'm so frustrated by these requirements, i just turned 35, and also have several large gaps in employment due to being an addict living out of my car/being homeless. Sigh...
It’s never too late to start anything. We need to pray God and ask for the patience. I am also 35 and starting my career on IT. Have faith to God and keep going. Leave all the negative things that will make your spirit down. Will be praying for you in Jesus name .
In addition to accepting Jesus into your heart, and making him your Lord. Ask Him to lead you. Also you can join United States military. Reserves if you don’t want to join active duty, you can gain some skills, bonus, networking opportunities and travel. Veterans always have opportunities
The weirdest apprenticeship I've ever heard of. This sounds like a job interview or a BootCamp. You have to learn before you start, an interview process, age restrictions(age discrimination), etc... blah blah blah! A bunch of BS if you ask me.
@@mpforeverunlimited An apprenticeship is not a job. If it was, it would be called a job. Age discrimination is not standard practice it is age discrimination.
