    Welcome back! Looking forward to seeing more. Fire soundtrack. Great flying, good luck with the new team! Don't you have phone numbers on the pigeons? You could get some back when they get lost.

      Thank you - it's an honor to read a nice comment from one of the top pigeon filmmakers on YT ;-)
      To answer your question: Yes, I had phone numbers on the rings. But there is a problem: Vienna HF are very anxious and do not join other pigeons. It is different with racing pigeons. If they are not found exhausted on a road, in a garden etc., you have no chance of getting them back. Only one single pigeon from my disappeared last -year -kit was found from a distance of 38km. All others have been lost to this day.

      @@CuMulusDancerZ Wow, thank you. I am glad you like my channel since yours is my favorite, I love your style. It is interesting what you say about this breed - that they don't join other pigeons. This is the quality of good racing pigeons, only the bad ones enter other lofts. Looking forward to seeing more videos and maybe some falcon action ;)... since you mentioned they are very good at escaping.

      Hi, thanks for your nice comment. Interesting to read that Budapest HF are bred in Bangladesh. I didn't know that and I hope that you are happy with the pigeons and their flying performance because of the different climate compared to cooler Europe.

    These birds are incredible flyers! They appear very fast on the wing. In America it's the English Tippler, Budapest Highflyers & New York Flying Flights that are the most popular pigeons with sport flyers imo. It's hard to understand why this brilliant breed isn't more recognized. They're very impressive to watch!😊👍

    • @CuMulusDancerZ
      @CuMulusDancerZ  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you for your comment. The fast and agile flying style has a practical background: This breed is very falcon resistant.

    • @65FullMoon83
      @65FullMoon83 3 роки тому +1

      @@CuMulusDancerZ I can really see that by how quickly they maneuver. There was an American flyer named Robert Lockwood several years ago that developed two of his own breeds of flying pigeons using several different breeds of pigeons for the flying style he preferred. He called them Vieshians & Vieshianas. I believe the two main ingredients he used in concocting them were the "Vienna Highflyer" & the "Egyptian Swift" as you could really see these two breeds distinctly in their appearance & flying style. Whether they were really something improved or enhanced is any ones guess imo? I will say though they were something different & did appear to fly very fast & acrobatically on video like your Vienna's.

    • @CuMulusDancerZ
      @CuMulusDancerZ  3 роки тому +2

      @@65FullMoon83 Yes, thanks for the hint. I saw the Lockwood videos a few years ago. I suspect, because of the dark coloring and appearance of his Vieshians, that he also crossed in a breed of flying pigeons from Hungary, which is called “Egri kék keringö” in the original language. I´m writing you the original name so that you can enter it into the search mask at YT. Here at YT you can find some flight videos of this breed. Good Egri lines that are not breed for shows also show a fast-paced flying style.
      With the todays plague of birds of prey, these fast and agile pigeon breeds are the only way to pursue the flying pigeon hobby with acceptable losses. 99% of our todays pigeon breeds are simply bird- of -prey- food. Flying with them makes no fun and involves high losses.

    • @65FullMoon83
      @65FullMoon83 3 роки тому +2

      @@CuMulusDancerZ I looked up the "Egri Kek Keringo" (Erlau Tumbler) Hungarian pigeon breed. Oh yes, absolutely this could've been another flying breed used in Lockwood's creation of the Vieshians! Many flyers in most parts of America have to breed surplus birds to cover heavy losses from BOP as well. Lockwood's birds were promoted as being too fast for the BOP, but I believe they were still taken at times by hungry high diving falcons. I'll bet though in far fewer numbers than other breeds favored by most American flyers. Lockwood is said by a few flying fanatics here in the States to still be perfecting his Vieshians. If he really is? He's doing so in silence without any promotion or YT videos to my knowledge. I wish him well on his goals.

    Why did they overfly? This strain of pigeons is high strung could it be maybe to much small oily seeds with supplements to cause this super energy do a fly away? Good thing you were able to replace them. Love your vedios! Eric from florida...👍

    • @CuMulusDancerZ
      @CuMulusDancerZ  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, you are right. I have four Old German Owls and use them as droppers, to bring the Viennas down and back to the loft, when they are to nervous for landing. This is sometimes the case after a falcon attack. The Owls don´t fly with the Viennas. They live togehter with them in one loft.

    Brilliant stuff. How do these fare against falcons. We have a huge falcon problem.

    • @CuMulusDancerZ
      @CuMulusDancerZ  3 роки тому +1

      A good question: It is exactly my breeding goal. High-flying pigeons that are as resistant to falcons as possible. I only use the shyest pigeons for breeding that have emerged victorious in falcon attacks. These pigeons are very agile and their fast flying style is very exhausting. Therefore the flight times of my pigeons are not that long as the flying time of other highflying pigeons which fly slower. However, I haven't lost a single pigeon to the falcon in the last four years and not a single one this year either. The peregrine kills pigeons from other breeders in my area which are easier to catch. Please watch the videos of Pigeonmania. You can find him here in the comments. He breeds racing pigeons and they are also very falcon resistant through his special selection over several years.

    Hi. I am from usa. I really have some viena highflyer but I can't I know that . U may be from Germany. I WAS THINKING IF U COULD TELL ME WHICH BREED SHOULD I CROSS TO MAKE VIENA HIGH FLYER. WE HAVE BUDAPEST HERE. Can u give me some information that from which breed it came from. Or I can try

    • @CuMulusDancerZ
      @CuMulusDancerZ  3 роки тому

      Hello to the USA. Budapest high flyers were bred from Vienna high flyers and other breeds. So the Viennas were there first. Vienna high flyers have a very long breeding tradition that goes back to the end of the 18th century. Unfortunately, it is not possible to rebreed Vienna HF by crossing other breeds. My advice: if you have Budapest in the US, stick with them and don't cross them. Concerning their high flying ability they are at least as good as Viennas. Only their long time flying style makes them slower and more easily preyed by BOP´s.

      Hallo, das tut mir leid mit der Jungtaubenkrankheit. Bei uns in Deutschland gibt es einen Kombiimpfstoff gegen Rotaviren und Paramyxovirose. Wenn wir den schon in unserer Banananrepublik haben, dann habt ihr Niederländer diesen Impfstoff bestimmt schon lange. Vielleicht wäre das im nächsten Jahr eine Lösung für dich, der JTK vorzubeugen.
