@MaxVelocitySevereWeatherCenter I jumped in your chat last Thursday, noticed a tornado was headed towards us. Got everyone in the laundry room and hunkered down while a tree slammed into our house, but we are all safe❤ and ive seen so many trampolines in strange places....

That's why I watch this guy. I work today and get to keep my phone on me. I have an app that audibly warns me with a tone of any tornado in the U.S. Love it.

I live in West Des Moines, am retired, laying in bed wishing there was a breeze outside as I am not one who likes complete silence and not so much as a blade of grass blowing. It didn't look stormy to me, and I was shocked when I heard the sirens go off, the wind rev up, the trees bending to the ground, that's when I figured God gave me a little too much of what I asked for and better hi-tail out of bed with the cat and make sure I bring all the plants I bought yesterday inside! I have no where to go but the bathroom, so hunkering down in a safe place is not not going to happen, just hope and pray the winds aren't strong enough to blow my place down and I wake up in a field somewhere miles from here not knowing where I am. That is, if I wake up! Have a good one folks. This was said to be one of the worst years in weather and if anyone knows Revelations, you will understand the wrath of these storms that will continue and not letting up.
This spring has been one we'll remember for a long time.
@@boyblue3270i doubt it, april this year had the 2nd most tornadoes, also having 2 tornado outbreak sequences with over 100 tornadoes.

Thanks for your prayers, I’m praying too because God answers prayers. The Lord Jesus is so good to us. Most folks now adays think He isn’t there, or He isn’t real but oh buddy He is very real. Rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God right now. So keep praying for those folks, because I’ve seen prayers turn tornados and all sorts of stuff away. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 KJV.

A low threat doesn't mean "no threat". And tomorrow's threat for tornadoes is in the heart of the DFW. Be safe everyone in the affected areas these next few days.

@craig3540 True. But we've had some significant tornadoes within the past decade in the DFW. The 2015 EF4 in Rowlett and the October 2019 EF3 in North Dallas. None of which were under a moderate risk. Plus, the EF1 in Grapevine back in December of 2022.
Also Max, I would like to say how much I appreciate how you explain everything. You don’t just tell us what’s happening but you explain how and what to watch for and I know a lot of people agree 💯

This spring reminds of the summer of '92 in Hoffman Estates, IL. It was brutal, this is brutal. Stay safe everyone!
Please remember to pack safety/emergency bags! Flashlights, chargers (battery packs if you have them), electronics, snacks, water, first aid kits, whistles (if you have them), etc. It's not being paranoid, it's being safe.
I live in Nebraska and about an hour and a half ago we had 3 severe thunderstorm warnings and it started to hail probably pea to penny sized (on the weather app said penny sized hail) my dad said to get downstairs so we did, he said the trees were spinning around in a circle. Heavy rain and strong winds, made the county east of us have a tornado warning or watch don't remember. Definitely something to watch out for. (Forgot to mention it was thundering and lighting quite bad)
That storm rolled through here in NW Kansas about 1am this morning. We just caught the edge of it, and just it was nuts. The wind was ripping, and we had hail as well. I got next to no sleep 😑
@@AlphaRomeoOneFive wow crazy stuff! Our first severe thunderstorm warning came at 4:36 next one came a few mins later I believe. But I hope no one was hurt! I sleep right next to a window my head is basically right next to it so after for what it sound like hail I was like "yup nope, Nuh uh I don't wanna get hit by glass." lol

I’m in Iowa and the thunderstorms we had ALL NIGHT were insane! My kids and dogs hated it, I thought it was cool. Also, first time school has ever been cancelled due to flooding. (Floods of 93, school was already out for the year).

@@kalebbort9246 I'm here and not very because it wasn't anywhere I could see. One up north but the sirens went off and I didn't even see the news saying much about it lol. We did get a fuck ton of rain though my sump pump is running almost non-stop (the rain stopped 20 minutes ago).

The flooding in Omaha is bonkers. I'm just east in Iowa and had a lot of fun waking up to a tornado warning for my county and groggily scrambling to get everyone into the bathrooms only to realize it was well East of us. Hunkering down for the next round now, blah.
@@Cha7675 Good luck to you. Looks like it's once again going to hit you guys real hard. Once the storm moves over the Missouri river all bets are off. The storms always seem to intensify when that happens.

That would be for the tornado threat because hail and winds are maxed out.

I awoke this morning (6:03) to heavy rain and brief golf ball size hail with wind gust to 40 MPH in Bellevue, a city just south of Omaha. Lots of flooding going on.
I'm still dealing from the last batch of tornados a couple weeks ago. All 3 of my vehicles totalled and house roof siding and windows. Contractor hasn't fixed house from first one yet in SW iowa. Here we go!

Western Michigan very seldomly has tornadoes do to protection of Lake Michigan, but regardless, I'll be on alert today! Thanks Max! Our local weather reports aren't even covering this! 👍

SREF runs from DVN have recently been showing CAPE between 2500 and 3000, thankfully down from between 3000 and 3500 from previous runs

6:00 am Tornado sirens in Omaha, but no tornados. 60-70 mile per hour winds, lots of hail, and we need an ARK for the rain. I think they said we got 2 inches rain this last hour on top of all the rain last night. Last count 7500 without power.

AccuWeather yesterday was disagreeing with the NWS rating and was rating this higher than moderate. Flat out disagreeing
Overnight got nuts in NW Kansas. Wind ripping, rain and hail, I couldn't sleep at all, and I'm not ever not able to sleep. Much more gentle thunderstorms rolling through now. Working outside in it all day won't be fun, however. We appreciate your coverage and forecasts of all these storms Max, thank you!

In Bonner Springs, KS the wind started at 3:30am. At 4:30 it was 72 degrees with the wind blowing 12mph gusting 22. We have that filtered sunshine that makes things look eerie. That wind is going to feed a storm somewhere NNW of me.
