I hated to see his (long) hair go.....that said, the haircut is really classic, but yet modern and it suites your client well.
I've always been the amateur barber in my family, and it was fun to listen to Tom and Dan talk about about that. I've gotten much more "aware" since watching Dan these last 4 years or so. I hope that translates into better (haircuts) also!

Most of the hairdressers I go to cannot manage a decent cut like this, which is why I find a different place every six weeks and am fast running out of places to try. I spend ten minutes explaining what I want, only for them to make a hash of it. Wish I lived near this guy !
Another happy camper leaves Dan's chair. One gift Dan has than distinguishes him from so many other barbers is he is so articulate about what is possible or not, and what he can envision that would suit the client. He just knows his stuff! And then of course he is a wizard with the shears. I like that he is honest about how much work it may take to maintain a particular look. Female stylists could learn from this too.
