The thing you are pointing at around 2:35 is actually an electric water pump, not a "small turbocharger". :) The turbocharger and the supercharger are located on the other side of the engine.
It's not really an autonomous driving system yet, but a mixture of the adaptive cruise control and the lane keeping aid both working side by side. the lane keeping aid is NOT an autonomous driving feature (yet), it is just a safety system to prevent you from going out of lane IF you where to fall asleep or get distracted. that meens you actually have to steer the car manually, and the system kicks in occasionally when it detects a slight lane departure. if you don't show sings of awareness within seconds after the system has been engaged it should bring the car to a full stop. As of today Volvo does not offer autonomous driving to the public, even though they are developing such systems. today the driving aids are only that, aids, meant to assist the driver, not replace him/her. (the adaptive cruise control however is an exception, it is intended to be working continuously to take over the throttle and break operations)
you are right that the feature is available to use in dense traffic conditions at low speeds but it is not useable as an "autopilot" at higher speeds anywhere in the world as far as my knowledge goes. as far as I know it's much like Volkswagen's system for fraffic jam's. It should only works at lower speeds all over the world
great video :) good commentary and I really appreciate the POV. Keep it up.

To hold the 3rd owner's beer while they work on it!
Best car ever build.
Autonomous auto pilot works only for 15 secs hands off steering... it's a safety thing
Not sure why they went with a 4cyl that gives the same gas mileage of a 6cyl.
