Oh oh oh, instant tears at playing George Winston after not listening for many years. The entire December album lives in my DNA. Well played, Dr. Lisle! Thanks, Chef AJ.
hahaha I absolutely LOVE Dr Lisle! I loved how he shared the story of when him and Goldhamer were young - so funny! I really enjoy hearing stories about when they were younger!
It's funny you mentioned how many pulmonary doctors and therapists smoke. I originally went to nursing school and was shocked at how many health care professionals eat fast food and smoke. A lot of nurses and doctors are actually some of the most unhealthy ppl you will ever met. I realized this wasn't for me so I went to massage school next and the overall population was much healthier. A lot of them are into yoga and eating healthy. There was at least 2 teachers at my school who are vegan and I met a couple other vegans as well. One of the teachers is actually a raw food vegan and I was really impressed at how physically fit and sharp she was. That planted a big seed because just a couple short years later I became vegan myself.
😊😊😊loved the good/bad luck « inherent complainer » theme ! It is so precious to feel or be reminded of how lucidity on our lives triggers an infinite source of gratitude 🙏🏻 ❤!
Interesting topic: mentoring and preceptorship!!! We learn as much what not to do or what we dont like to be as much as we learn critical thinking skills, common tasks and steps 1, 2, 3 or If this happens then we do this scenarios!!! same growing up in my dysfunctional fam...thnx for all you both do!!!!Be Well🌱💚
I have a lot of respect for Dr. Lisle and his explanation of 'luck' makes sense, but either he's ignoring completely or simply doesn't believe in the fact that we are energetic beings living on an energetic plane and can experience 'wanting' and 'getting that which we want'.

I don't know if I love the content more than the delivery or the delivery more than the content. But Dr. Lisle just makes me laugh and learn in the most enjoyable way. Thank you!
Sometimes Dr Lisle says his father was open, sometimes that he wasn't. From the little knowledge I have I think he means that he was adventurous but not very artistic/unconventional? Anyways thank you for this episode.
I like the casino analogy. Life is a combination of what you get and what you do with it. And I appreciate his take on our good fortune at this time in this place. In my youth I used to moan about my unhappy life to my exceedingly kind and patient father. At some point he would steer the conversation to the many people in this world who do not have running water. Nothing like a little perspective.
Dr Lisle is skeptical that a keto diet has any affect on mental health, says it doesn’t make sense, yet it has been used to treat epilepsy for a hundred years. Chris Palmer is a Harvard psychiatrist publishing studies on his treatment and has had a lot of success stories. I’m wfpb, and like Dr Lisle’s takes for the most part, but here he seems to be too quick to dismiss something it appears he is ignorant about.
@@Goodbyeeveryonehere Dr Chris Palmer’s book Brain Energy explains how certain mental health issues, including schizophrenia, are heavily correlated with brain health issues, particularly brain metabolism. That is his working thesis and why he believes keto to benefit those types of mental disorders. And he wouldn’t say it’s a cure, but an effective therapeutic protocol which has shown to put these disorders, for some, into remission or greatly eased the symptoms. I don’t know if Dr. Goldner has claimed to have cured schizophrenia as she has for lupus, but if so then she should publish at least case studies as Palmer has been doing.
~ 47m - 54:20 m L is skeptical that keto can help with mental health / schizo; unclear what was the control group (if any ); 51:40 - 53:20 what drives a mental disorder is not diet; or one gene ....dopamine hypothesis was not based on science
Thank you as always for interviewing Dr. Lisle! The audience learns so many things all the time ❤ You and he make a dynamic duo!

I love Dr Lisle!! My favorite part was his answer about “luck”. The whole interview was great. Thank you chef AJ and the always fabulous Dr Lisle.

He mentioned desire. Same thing.

Everyone comes into the casino with different amounts of money to spend and knowledge on how the games work.
????i am a LMSW, old school, and would like to study this type of psychology. Where can I take courses, online, on this method.?
