This is a great tutorial video. Thank you for sharing. Tips: I was working on my 2012 Hyundai accent and the only way to remove the alternator after remove all bolts is using a big screw driver and place it underneath the alternator and slowly pry it up ( I was rocking the alternator back and forth and upward for 15 minutes with no help) My car symptom: Battery light in the dashboard randomly flickering.
This works for Hyundai velosters too! Just replaced my altenator using this tutorial with no mechanical experience. It took 4-5 hours for a me but got it done
ok can’t seem to pull the alternator out after removing all the pieces and screws . now it’s pouring rain out and i smashed the shit out of my fingers trying to get it out
Belt should just slip on?!!!!!!. I had the alt push all the way to the engine block. Getting the belt over the water pump pulley was extremely difficult. Kia couldn't spend a few bucks and put in a spring tensioner?
did you purchase an OEM belt or one from the local auto parts store? sometimes the belts the auto parts store says will fit can be very tight even if the car has a spring tensioner, I learned this from years of working on cars.
Probably the best video out for this application. Minor edit: step 1, disconnect the battery.
Thanks to this video I did my very first car repair, thank you so much ❤️

Yes I thought about prying it too. It was very stubborn to get out lol
@@EnoughAboutCars you video didn't show that it was stubborn to get out - would have been very helpful
Great video. Simple, straight forward instructions. Very helpful. Thanks!
That was deceptively simple lol I was expecting some skipped parts or something. Liked and subbed. 👍
Saved to a playlist. Videos like these are a god send when you can't directly see how things are put together.
I’m glad you liked the video 😁
I hope this video helps you replace your bad alternator!

Do you need a belt tensioner or should the belt be fine
awesome cake!!!!!!
Did anyone have problems pulling the alternator out after removing all the bolts??
Yes, it’s usually stuck in there. It will take some time but keep at it. Eventually it will free itself.
use a prybar !
Yes, this is why I'm watching these videos. I thought I missed something. Guess I will have to pry it off.

Don't bust your knuckles tight.
Too easy I may have to do it myself
Why do people insist on using cheesy unnecessary music for how-to videos?
Great video. Get right to what’s important without mumbo jumbo nonsense.
