I’ve had this vacuum for a few years now and it’s still going strong. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was cleaning it today and thinking about how much I love no bags to buy and that it comes apart for easy clean up. When I first purchased it we had two dogs and a cat and it kept up well. The suction was great then and still is now. I’m always amazed at the amount of hair it picks up, it works better than any other vacuum I’ve had for pet hair. The attachments are handy and work well. It’s easy to use with arthritic hands. I just had to come write a review because I’m still so pleased with this purchase.
Thank you friend. I’m one of those who is easily intimidated at the thought of assembling things especially things with motors. This helped me and I can’t wait to try out mind together and give it a go
Ahhh! I'm so glad you saw this video. It was honestly way easier than I thought it would be too. I'm so happy with this vacuum and I bet you will be too. Come back and let me know what you think after you get it out of the box and set up ✨️
I was thinking the same...I was so happy to find your video. It helped me sooo much. I thought I was going to have the vacuum in the box until someone would come over and help me assemble it. To my surprise, I was able to assemble it with the help of this video.thank you so much!
Wow!!! That's wild. I absolutely agree, things take maintenance. When my Dyson battery died after 3 years, I probably could have ordered a new one or something like that but to me that felt like more of a hassle than going and getting this shark one. I truly do love the power head of this one, over my Dyson so I'll probably stick with shark in the future but I'm definitely curious how long yours is going to go for! 8 years and counting is epic!!!
I have a corded one and it works great but Ive been curious about the cordless one as it would be easier not to have to plug it in but Im wondering where the battery is and how do you take it out to charge it?
Great question!!! It's super easy to charge! You just plug in the canister with the provided charge cord, no need to remove a battery or fiddle with anything.
I believe it's Model IZ162CCO. That's so weird that yours doesn't have a headlight and that it's loud. Does your have multiple settings? Mine has floor mode and carpet mode. Carpet mode is louder than floor mode but I don't use that too much because we have mostly hardwood in our house.
Great question!!! It does not have a wall mount but the canister has a hook and it sits on neck of the stick really nicely. It's actually a very compact little unit. The Dyson I had before had a wall mount, but it was plastic and I was always nervous it would break when I'd hook up the canister lol
Great question! There is a little hook on the front of the stick part of the vacuum, the canister hooks on the there and the whole thing can stay as one unit when stored. Do you think it would be helpful for me to make a video showing how it's done?
That's a great question! Not heavy at all. Even when it's stored together as one unit *the canister attaches to the front pole of the stick* and with the power of it, you don't even need to use too much energy to push it around. I still say this is the best stick vacuum I've ever had. Also note, there's a hard floor setting and a carpet setting which is nice having those options.
I completely agree. I liked our Dyson while we had it but I was never blown away by it. We recieved it as a wedding gift which was great but I seriously love this Shark more than I ever liked the Dyson.
I absolutely believe it will. I have drawers under my bed so it's hard to test it but I do have a spare queen bed, I should try it under there to test that out.
I like how the canister can go lower to hook on the stick so the center of gravity is lower and it won't tip over for storage. I do wish there was a hook for the edge attachment to be stored on the stick. I always fear I'm going to lose the attachment somewhere around the house as I'm switching to multiple parts.
I agree! That's the one thing that I think was overlooked. If there was some kind of hook or something that the attachments could be a part of, that would make this top notch.
Great question! I usually keep the canister part attached by the hook on the front of the stick part of the vacuum, and keep the whole thing in a corner of my house. I sometimes leave it on a little stool if it's charging but it can also charge if it's hooked on latch of the stick.
Well I bought this sucker today and just did my whole living room and hallway and it definitely picked up stuff but it's not worth $211 in my opinion I'm going to go for the ultralight rocket with the cord
I can totally understand that. I still use my hepa vacuum for our rugs but I love this stick vacuum for all our hard floors. I can't believe how much better it is than the Dyson at picking up cat litter lol
@@PalmSquad my Dyson has the hard floor soft brush attachment with the Lazer, shows everything and leaves nothing behind. I guess it depends what model
Our Dyson just died after a few years, but it was always getting clogged up with hair, happens with every single hoover we have had! Partner has to actually cut the hair off the bar, always tangled around it, hoover would cut out after using it for 15 mins or so! We have 3 cats, however the issue is not the cats hair apparently as my partner keeps telling me, it is my hair that is the problem! I have very long ( down to my bum ) thick naturally curly hair, and it gets everywhere, and is a nightmare with hoovers, can't do much about it, other than having it all cut off, not an option lol So wondering if this would be any better for me, or could withstand my dreaded hair lol i had been looking at this one as it happens!
Yesss! I have had the same issue. I have thick curly hair and it's always been a problem. I swear I shed more than my 2 dogs and my cat, combined! I don't know if it's the silicone pads on the head of it, or what but it doesn't ever shut down because of hair! I've also recently found out it's super easy to clean the head of it. So I'll be doing that soon and I will make a video letting everyone know how that goes. Honestly, this is my favorite vacuum I've ever owned and as a bonus, it's probably the least expensive one too ✨️
I have this vacuum and I have all hardwood floors. I hate this thing soooo much it doesn’t get that close to the ground and the bristles are just not enough I’m constantly having to take the wand hose off the floor nozzle and use that to pick stuff up. It’s too late to return but I hate it so much I wish I had gotten something else
Oh no!!!! That's not a good experience. I've been pretty happy with it for my hardwood floors so far. Do you use the extra power trigger? I find I use that when im trying to vacuum up tiny things like cat litter
My wife hates this machine. Functionally it works ok. It has a few problems. You cannot remove the roller to clean it. The hair accumulates in the roller.🤣It is loud. I like telling my wife she shouldn't have cheaped out and bought a shark. Now it's a $300 joke every time it gets used.
Oh my goodness! It sounds like your wife got the short end of the stick with yours. Makes me think it was probably put together on a Friday at 4 pm 😅 I haven't found hair stick to the roller (and my house is always covered in hair, between myself and my 2 dogs and cat lol) I also don't find it to be loud at all!!! I'm glad you guys can laugh about it though, that's truly the best quality! I do plan on trying to take apart the head because it says it's "cleanable" so I'll make a video when I do that, with my husband's help, and see if that might be able to help ya (or anyone else that's having problems with the roller)
@BUGBYTE_ That’s unfortunate that your wife got a lemon. I have 3 Sharks and the oldest one is at LEAST 10 years old and still going strong. I don’t buy anything but Shark bc it’s hard to beat the never ending suction it has. My newest is the Shark robot with self emptying container and it’s a dream!!! Maybe you’ll give Shark another chance bc I promise you that just bc a vacuum is cheaper doesn’t mean it’s less than. I prefer Shark over Dyson any day.
Right?!?! The Dyson is a finicky thing. It spews back Meowzer's cat litter at me all the time and never wants to pick up anything large. I just put some cheerios on the floor to test for ya and I was skeptical but the SHARK picked them ALL up. No struggle at all. Super impressive!!!
There's a way to have it stand up. It's a little tricky at first but once you get it, it's easy! There's a little hook on the front of the long bar, it attaches to a little plastic hook park on the back of the canister. So the whole unit is one, and standing. The canister sits close to the bottom of the vacuum, if that makes sense. I wish I could reply with a photo so I could show ya (would make the visual sooo much better)
I've never used a Eurika brand vacuum but I do hear good things. I am super happy with this shark vacuum so far. It picks up cat litter from the floor without shooting it everywhere which is a total bonus lol
Thank you for that tip. I wasn't aware of a 10 year warranty but with how expensive they are, they absolutely should. I didn't think to look into that because it had been a wedding gift and we didn't have the receipt so there was no proof of purchase.
This vacuums is not good for wooden flooring /flat surface at all. It’s handy only with it cordless for sure but kind of only ok on carpet surfaces . I have this for over 1.5 years
It's very interesting to hear your take on this. I basically only use this vacuum on hard floors. I use my hepa vacuum for our shag rug in the living room, though. Does yours not pick up small stuff off hardwood? Mine seems to work great for cat litter and crumbs and especially dog and cat hair 🐶🐱
Thanks for the tip! I super appreciate you commenting because I was literally just thinking today as I was using it, about how easy it would be to clean the head.

Excellent review. I will buy one today at Costco Canada on sale. Was 280 now 220.

So glad you saw this unboxing. Honestly, I love this vacuum and I hope you like it just as much.

I have a question will it mount on the wall or it doesn’t have that feature?
Great question!!! It does not have a wall mount but the canister has a hook and it sits on neck of the stick really nicely. It's actually a very compact little unit. The Dyson I had before had a wall mount, but it was plastic and I was always nervous it would break when I'd hook up the canister lol
How do yo store it? Mine won’t stay standing up.
Great question! There is a little hook on the front of the stick part of the vacuum, the canister hooks on the there and the whole thing can stay as one unit when stored. Do you think it would be helpful for me to make a video showing how it's done?
is it heavy to hold.
That's a great question! Not heavy at all. It would have been nice to see how to remove and clean the filter part… nice review, thanks!
That's a great idea! I didn't even think about that but I once I do it, I can make a video and show how it's done. Thanks for commenting ✨️
I had my vertex over six years still going strong
That is freaking awesome!!! Honestly, not many people can say that about a vacuum! Speaks volumes for the quality.
Yehhh everybody is aiming on Dyson vacuum but shark does pretty good job as well
I completely agree. I liked our Dyson while we had it but I was never blown away by it. We recieved it as a wedding gift which was great but I seriously love this Shark more than I ever liked the Dyson.
loved your video. im geting one now.😁
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!!! You'll love this vacuum. I'm still so happy with it.
Thank you for the review. :) I am curious if this can lie flat to be able to vacuum under a queen-sized bed?
I absolutely believe it will. I have drawers under my bed so it's hard to test it but I do have a spare queen bed, I should try it under there to test that out.
@@PalmSquad Thanks for taking the time to respond! :)
@@TedMattos you're totally welcome.
Can't wait to try it :D looks dope
You'll love it! I'll be curious to hear your thoughts about it VS our old Dyson.
could it suck a spilled coffee from a carpet or hardwood floor? thx
Great question! No, I wouldn't attempt that with this because it's meant for dry spills, not wet.
I like how the canister can go lower to hook on the stick so the center of gravity is lower and it won't tip over for storage. I need help with my vacuum, I put the wrong part in the lower part where the charger should be.
Oh no!!! Are you still able to get the charger in it?
What’s the power of it? Why I can not find out?
Great question! I just tried to do a search for ya, and I believe it's 500 watts. You are right, though. It was hard to find that info!
Thank you so much ❤

Yes it totally does. It doesn't have a wall mount like the Dyson does but honestly, I wasn't a fan of the wall mount anyway.
