      @@No-Voice-is-so-loud the drum your link references has a skin drumhead like most drums do not a wooden one like this instrument has.

    Everybody's making fun of this and I understand that the simplicity is almost laughable.
    But listen to what he can do with it. I couldn't pick up "a box" and create that. Creating the rhythm with the middle finger over the whole like that really does make a difference. I think it's nice to listen to.

    Am I the only one who actually likes this instrument? Sure, it isn't the most advanced, but it makes a good beat and it well, is simple and you don't need to memorize a bunch of keys or strings to play it.

      Sou brasileiro tbm, mas pra tu falar isso, é sinal que não conhece mto sobre percussão. Ainda mais no Samba. Claro que não existe um limite de diferentes tipos de percussão, mas esse mesmo tipo de som é produzido por vários tipos de tambores e tamborins que usamos no dia a dia no BR. Seja no carnaval ou até na roda de capoeira.

    this is the same as tapping your cheeks to a rhythm and opening/closing you mouth/lips to create different pitches.
    The only difference ..the Travolette doesn't make your cheeks turn red ;-)

      as well as it being louder, sounding alot less slappier, and having grooves on the side to produce a guiro like sound.

    There are always people who dislike someone sharing something interesting.. My rule of thumb is up to 10% dislikes is meaningless. Here is a new instrument , completely portable and fun to fool around on . Wish I had one.

    This is one of those anyone can pick it up and play it, but it would take a life time to master all the techniques and bring them together into a cohesive symphony type instruments.

    Some people are so talented being able to create music, be it a simple wooden box, a wash board or bottles of filled with water. I struggle to play the flute and the recorder. I wish you joy :)

    Okay. This one is effectively a flexible-tuning temple block with hand drumming possibilities. But the sound is more mellow in timbre than a temple block.
    This one is original.

    Tune-able, play on the edge ( good sound) sounds like a mini kettle drum easier to haul around too!

    As someone who plays Hand drums I have to say this is very cool! How convenient would it be to just whip this out when you feel in the mood and tap on this awhile? I think it would be terrific! And, the sound is great really. For drummers of any kind who are always tapping their fingers and hands on whatever they can reach when their drums aren't around, this would be very appreciated and fun, believe me. And a whole group with these would be terrific! As well, it would add a crisp embellish to a song.

    This is a very interesting Instrument for smaller Children. It might help to teach music.Every Child can use it.

    my friends were scared and exited the vehicle when i played the drum riff to fire , hendrix song in the 1970s. the cars dashboard was my travolette and the snare sound was a ludwig supraphonic sound that was amazing. the high decibels drove them to the curve. and i cant say that i blame them.
