- On the occasion of Vijay Nirman Company's 30 years Celebrations at NSTL Auditorium, Visakhapatnam, concert presented by the ledendary Dr.Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna, the brand ambassador of Vijay Nirman Company. Accompanied by Sri P.Gyandev on Violin, Dr.R.Madhuri Devi on Veena and Sri P.Jayadev on Mridangam.
Thanks a lot to UA-cam which enables me to watch great singers like Balamurali Krishna.I feel he is the greatest of Carnatic music
This is not a Music Concert. True !! It’s just DIVINE !! You do not find any comparable Musician, who is a Musician, Composer par excellence and a Creator of new Ragas and Talas to the Indian Music system. Sometimes, I feel that he deserved the BHARAT RATNA, which he would have got, if he was a Tamilian.of course, he takes pride in being an Andhra. He lived comfortably till he was 86 years old and was a performer for 77 years. Can anybody beat it? I consider myself lucky, that I lived in the era in which he lived and performed.

Dr M B K is The King of music. No match in this universe to his Fantastic Voice modulation clarity control pleasing soul searching presentation. His knowledge is God's greatest gift to the man kind. I pray for his long life contributions to the music

Balamurali Sir is unique with so much of elaborated notes on rare ragas not everyone will venture, but he will haul the same to dimensions beyond our imagination. He is one and only! I had the privilege to enjoy his kutcheries in in many occasions. I could talk to him and on reminding him about an A.I.R Kutchery, he could remember me and wanted me to sing 2 lines..‘Nanu Brovamani Cheppave”. I was lucky...in that live program of Doordarshan, I did sing n he helped me rather guided me to sing.

Here, Guru Dr.BMK commenced recital with own composition in the Ragam Mahati invented by him ..( with unique 4 svoras only ....raga scales...as 43 Malakarta Ghavaambhodi's janya ragam...Aa:S G3 P N2 S / Av: S N2 P G3 S. Thereafter sang the Thyagaraja kriti- "bAgAyanayya nI mAya lentO" in the ragam Chandrajyothi..a janya of 41 Paavani melakarta ragam...
Hindolam is soothing to listen! Since it has no Rishabham and Panchamam, symmetrical in both ascending and descending scales, it lends itself very well to improvisation.Though its parent ragam is supposed to be 20thMelakarta Natabhairavi, many would like to associate it with the 8th Melakarta, Hanumatodi! Dr. BMK presented a wonderful rendtion of f " Samaja vara Gamana' in Hindolam.

65 Melakartha Mechakalyaani janyaragam!!....of course reminded rendition by MS Amma as used to listen her rendition of this.....This is composed by Sadasiva Brahmendra, the 18th century's Saint-Composer of Carnatic music as well as Advaita philosopher based at Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu. Now a days this one is popularised in Ragam Ahir Bhairav, a mixture of Bhairav and the ancient rare raga Ahiri / Abhiri which is similar to that of a a mixture of Bhairav and Kafi!In, all under Hinduatani Music.. In Carnatic music it is still sung in 'yamuna Kalyanai', Finally the 'dhIm nanana tillillana' the Thillana composed by Dr.BMK himself in the 'Bridavani' ragamwhich unique with with 'kakali Nishadam (N3) while ascending and 'kaisiki Nihaadam ( N2) while descending...Its 22 kharaharapriya janya with notes..Aa:S R2 M1 P N3 S/Av: S N2 P M1 R2 S. Pranams to Guru's soul

This is the kind of music we often hear in Telugu movies w/ ANR Or NTR on the stage
w/ playback sung by SPB or some other light musician. And NOT to be considered a traditional Carnatic music kutcheri! It's unfortunate, the innocent public are accepting!

It is not proper to write utter nonsense in public space. It is ridiculous to write absolute foolery posing as if the writer knows about Carnatic music. In what authority this person write this type of an opinion?At least one should show the good sense not to write about something he doesn't know or not qualified enough to speak.That too about the all time legend who has enriched Carnatic music with his amazing creativity and his God given sublime kind of music.
One should know what their standing is in that field before commenting on a legendary.
