My grandma introduced me to the Zanboorak when I was little. My uncles also played it back in the old country Azerbaijan we have Iranian and Azeri heritage especially on my dads size of my family.
I had no idea it's also called a "Persian Zanboorak", thank you for sharing your video and giving some historical details. You can do much more with other types of jaw harps. I love the "How It's Made", very cool.
@@k3ith29 I think all the best Jew's harps are Russian, Ukrainian or Norwegian. There are some very good ones coming out of Hungary and Estonia too. The harps in this video seem to be cheap, poor quality novelty instruments, little more than toys.

You will be surprised: there are more than 900 names for this instrument all over the world.
