Thank you so much, you have saved him from a slow death from loneliness and apathy and you have gained an affectionate and intelligent friend for life❤❤
A parrot for life and he looks so cute , I've got an African Grey and he knows when I'm sad as he Flys on my shoulder and I've lost mum, dad stepdad , brother and niece in a space of a year and the crying I've done and heartbreak I've had is unreal, but my parrot knows this and is with me constantly. Parrots are so overwhelmingly sensitive birds in which not many people know off. Love the video , keep your chin up girl ❤😢
I had a Parrot a girl it was a Amazon she died 2 months ago,she had a infection even the doctor couldnt help her anymore, i had her 41 years in total n i miss her everyday, always be good to these animals coz they have a good heart too, most parrots bond only with one owner but in your situation with both thats a good thing. I loved to watch your video❤
Talk about picking you out for his lifetime Mom❤❤❤❤ I adopted my Pappion from a shelter. When the veterinarian brought her , she leaped into my arms. And it's been 6 happy years!❤❤❤❤
Tears in my eyes watching this video. You are 100% correct. We dont choose birds... THEY CHOOSE US!!!!!! NEVER SHOP.... ALWAYS ADOPT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I fostered an Umbrella Cockatoo a while back. He was such a fun bird. He liked to play games, but his cuddle is something that was so much worth the loud crazy noise in fact if he was out and with us he was as quiet as could be. The family he came from had lots of pre and teen kids running around. They would get him to chase after them and it got me bit pretty good on my shoeless foot once. We taught him a game instead of just going after feet and biting them. We would play a slow game of tag around the kitchen island taking turns chasing and being chased. Another game was a dozen things on the island and him pushing it all off one at a time and him trying to keep them off. He had very bad separation anxiety and was his reason for getting rehomed as much as he was. He needed a person who actually wanted him to be part of daily life. And other parrots where not going to be that for him. He needed a mellow family that he could be with all day. After we got through the first week was when it finally happened. The cuddle that was worth all the noise. I actually got really relaxed from that little hug that I started to fall asleep. I’ve never felt like that before. We had been trying to have children for 18 years to that point and I fostered him knowing he was going to have to go to a better home(although I did want to keep him). Once we got the news I knew it meant I wasn’t going to get to keep him with us. I searched for a good while to find him a good forever home. So many people wanted him but never worked with umbrellas or larger birds in general. We tried a few visits and found an older couple who said they had owned cockatoos before and even showed great ability handling him. I made sure they knew where we lived and that they could always call and if for whatever reason it wasn’t working out that we would take him back. I reached out a couple of times that first week and they said all was good. I reached out later that month and never got a response. I kept trying to get ahold of them to make sure he was good and okay before a move we had coming up. That’s when they told me they gave him away to someone because of the noise. I was so angry with myself. I asked why they didn’t call or answer my messages that he could have come back and they just wrote me off.
I, too, have a number of hand raised Parrots that I will sit outside with them on my hand or shoulder. They are my life and I am theirs. So I know exactly what you are saying.
:) excellent. my Amazon picked my mom for sure. wouldn't get off her each time we visited. then several times later, i look down the window, there's my mom... standing there with the cage. lol she's now flying and out of the cage completely... just goes in to eat.
That person that said “You don’t need this, you’re crazy”, should not be in an animal shelter. What an awful thing to say, I wonder how many animals missed out on a good home because that person made a comment like that about them, it’s hard enough for them to find a good forever home. This parrot really lucked out to find a woman with compassion and a huge heart. Thanks for sharing
I worked at a parrot "refuge" and it was a nightmare. They had thousands of parrots enclosed in together and it was not a good environment. Thankfully after I quit, because I got angry at the people running that place, it lost the owner and they were adopted out
I had a 46 year old neglected parrot that bonded with me. He was in complete distress and way too defensive to handle but was the center of attention in the house .We shared 6 years together, I kept him from the divorce. He died in my arms and I cherish the memories. He was a Yellow nape Amazon. RIP Jaco
I like rescue stories like this but not the AI narration and prefer to hear directly from the pets owners. But great story and wish you and Bandit all the best
Beautiful bird. They live too long and they require some specialized knowledge... but sometimes... i just want to share my life with a pretty, smart, and chatty animal. Then again my less pretty and very stinky Newfoundland (150lbs of attitude), keeps us busy and is known to complain loudly when disappointed in us... so...
The power of the story is robbed by the AI narration which sounds like a robot and never varies its voice and is obviously a script reading machine. I could only stand about the first 30 seconds and then it was either stop watching or throw up on my tablet.
Humans - when you going to learn who are? When you going to learn that your body is just a costume... that you dont loose mother father brothers sisters and so on... or you think you have one life? Then why you spending it to work in it?
Absolutely believable. People don't understand the care these birds require, and often dump them at a shelter when they can't handle it anymore. I volunteer at a parrot rescue. Off the top of my head, I can think of 8 Macaws we have currently waiting for their forever home. One of them, Jack, has been there over 3 years. We also have, Amazon parrots, African Greys, budgies, conures, ringnecks, cockatiels, lovebirds, doves, eclectus parrots, and cockatoos. I'd say we have at least 50 birds in house at the moment. I'm currently fostering a Bare-eyed cockatoo that was at the rescue for 2 years before I brought him home 2 weeks ago. If all goes well like it has been, I plan to adopt him. ❤ It's important for people to understand that birds are LOUD, messy, and needy (similar to a human toddler, but one that never grows up). Even people that pay thousands for these birds will dump them when it gets to be too much. That's why it's so important to do research before bringing any pet into your household.❤
Yes, most end up abandoned in shelters because people do not understand how difficult it is to raise a bird which often outlives their owners, has the mind of a 5 year old and the ability to break bones if they get mad.
@HyPex808-2 in America, yes. But they also buy 0.05 cent cups from China and sell them for 30£ a piece and other useless stuff. 4th world country capitalism.
Yeah IT Breaks my Heart that i Wish and pray that im forgotten , that my Life and Energy IS taken away from me and every existence IS free from this slavery shit I have a cat and IT Breaks my spul that they Cat has to live in my 55qm flat These animals are Made to walk Up to 20 Miles per day and more And their Sense IS trained to Nature and interest When i think about tigers in a Zoo or whales Then you have all the slavery and pain mankind Puts on human telling you all that ITS good and there IS a logic To me ITS hate and ignorance false education and lies to protect Power system But Power only belongs to god And god IS everything ITS Not the church and Not a human telling you to support His prisoned ideas I Wish my Life will be taken away everything IS forgotten and IT Starts without hate and violence Without discussion and the Idea of me and you Cause Theres No difference There was only war that Made you all dont Trust anyone I See now different countries I See people telling you WHO you should hate , and what you should Take away from them to have the biggest benefit Animals dont do that Their balance is perfect They Just go for a need If they spread too much another animal will appear or hold them in balance Mankind interrupted all of IT
Cheddar cheese and Midnight Blue... That is the most beautiful bird I have ever seen!
This is the creation of God.
For a parrot to lie on it's back and allow you to stroke their belly is absolute trust.
Thank you so much, you have saved him from a slow death from loneliness and apathy and you have gained an affectionate and intelligent friend for life❤❤
Beautifully said.
It’s amazing the kind of companionship that a bird can provide. My macaw is my best friend and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Such beautiful bird. So intelligent. Thank you for giving them love.
Vandal bonded with both mom and dad! That’s amazing. Vandal must be a most special burb.

God bless the beasts and the people who love them.

Most ppl have no idea what a commitment having a parot is or even how old they can get.
Even if you give it your whole lifetime it may not be enough

Thank You !!
such a beautiful story ❤❤❤
Here in Brazil this parrot is known as "Arara Azul" and is typical of our region, in captivity it can live from 50 to 80 years.
Lovely
Beautiful bird, would love to have one just like it.
I'm not too crazy about the parrot though.
wow the parrot can speak the phone and followed up with the owner.
I miss my African Grey Congo:( 😭😭🙌🙌🙏🙏💔💔
Wow ! Great video ! 😂❤

Yup they choose us. Your right ✅️.
Awesome.

What a kind soul. God bless them all.
Birds are cool. I have chickens, they're pretty smart and they talk to me.
A room with window (at least 10m2) to stay in not too long is okay, but a cage is not.
I worked at a parrot "refuge" and it was a nightmare. They had thousands of parrots enclosed in together and it was not a good environment. Thankfully after I quit, because I got angry at the people running that place, it lost the owner and they were adopted out
the dude looks like frank from American pickers that
just passed.

Tired of these stories being ripped off and remade by these AI a$$hats.
And it gets a bot like. 🤣
Get used to it.
I like rescue stories like this but not the AI narration and prefer to hear directly from the pets owners. But great story and wish you and Bandit all the best

amazing birds bring so much joy
He's Really Pretty .
Sweet
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Don't shop, adopt! The time and patience it takes to train a broken bird is the same as to train a new bird. Please adopt from shelters.
Birds pick there human they pick you, you don't pick them
😍🥰💗
Peace and love lost out to hate and division! What a world we live in… shameful!
That woman looks a little like the singer Jewel.
She has been chosen by Hogwarts. She is now a Witch. Hahaha!! 😮😊
😭🙏🩵🥹sad he was probably thrown shoes at 😞…
❤️🇸🇪👋
Pretty cheap to feed them too=peanuts.lol
Wow this guy looks lol Frank from pickers RIP Frank
Where’s the video about the “wild parrot?” This parrot isn’t wild. He’s a captive raised rescue.
Beautiful bird. They live too long and they require some specialized knowledge... but sometimes... i just want to share my life with a pretty, smart, and chatty animal. Hi Vandal fancy a grape
How's your bird?
Animals don't choose you. They don't see you as their "owner", especially birds.
Humans - when you going to learn who are? When you going to learn that your body is just a costume... that you dont loose mother father brothers sisters and so on... or you think you have one life? Then why you spending it to work in it?
Okey, so a 2000$ Ara parrot was just sitting at a "shelter" and was "saved" by this lady, got it.
Absolutely believable. People don't understand the care these birds require, and often dump them at a shelter when they can't handle it anymore. I volunteer at a parrot rescue. Yeah
IT Breaks my Heart that i Wish and pray that im forgotten , that my Life and Energy IS taken away from me and every existence IS free from this slavery shit
I have a cat and IT Breaks my spul that they Cat has to live in my 55qm flat
These animals are Made to walk Up to 20 Miles per day and more
And their Sense IS trained to Nature and interest
When i think about tigers in a Zoo or whales
Then you have all the slavery and pain mankind Puts on human telling you all that ITS good and there IS a logic
To me ITS hate and ignorance false education and lies to protect Power system
But Power only belongs to god
And god IS everything
ITS Not the church and Not a human telling you to support His prisoned ideas
I Wish my Life will be taken away everything IS forgotten and IT Starts without hate and violence
Without discussion and the Idea of me and you
Cause Theres No difference
There was only war that Made you all dont Trust anyone
I See now different countries
I See people telling you WHO you should hate , and what you should Take away from them to have the biggest benefit
Animals dont do that
Their balance is perfect
They Just go for a need If they spread too much another animal will appear or hold them in balance
Mankind interrupted all of IT
