That is sweet, great present. From what I understand ATS-34 is very similar in makeup and performance to VG-10 and 154 cm which is really sweet for a slip joint. Very tough steel as well.
@@RJsKnives I have 3. Two are the Remington silver bullet from 2021 and 2022. Both made by GEC. I've also got a Tidiute lil' rattler in maroon micarta. They are consistent with the S&M and Queen I own. I rather like the Remington silver bullet issues because they never sell out right away. The only reason I haven't bought the hawkbill that is 2023 is I don't favor the pattern. They're still available. Some places like discount cutlery and Chicago knifeworks still have the 2022, which was a grandaddy barlow, the only one GEC has ever produced. They're pricey though. BTW you'll like ATS 34 it sharpens scary sharp, seems to hold the edge. It's Japanese. 154cm is the US version.
I bought several S&M knives back in the early millennium and Queen also they were pretty pricey then but love the quality. Love the gunstock but never bought one . Great knife you got there.

He made some really awesome pieces. I still have yet to have a GEC in hand. If they are like this, I understand why they sell out in minutes.
