Luka is the most annoying superstar in the league. Dude is so talented, but he routinely acts like a child. The guy needs to learn some accountability. He needs to be some semblance of a leader, but he so far has been entirely incapable of even coming close to it.
I never really thought this before but he’s a lot like Embiid from a mentality standpoint. Him trying to deflect any sort of blame after losing them the game last night was embarrassing.
someone mentioned this to me irl and i cant unsee it: it is almost impossible to find a play where he: 1. drives to the rim 2. doesn't get a whistle 3. doesn't throw his hands up and make a face to the refs. it could be a drinking game. seriously.
He always takes the blame and never hides from media, his teammates like him and listen to him. What else should he do to be a leader? He can improve on defense, but he might need to lose weight, which will downgrade his offensive capabilities.
@@nuggets_gold_rush6259 They didn't even show up for us. We pretty much won the game against them, but we just couldn't stop committing turnovers on the 3 minutes
The Grizzlies missing 2 starters their best 2 backups they almost beat LA . It's the coaching for real. I mean Luka that's his 6 season dude you can't play defense. So I'm blaming the coaches.
People complained about Melo before being a defensive liability, but Luka is another level and I dont see all the NBA media every mentioning Luka as being a huge hole in the dallas defense every single game
Kind of weird to go on a rant about how Luka’s offense has been hurting the team and not even acknowledging that he finally had a good shooting game against the Jazz. 37 pts @ 52%FG, 72% from 2, 7Reb/9assists. Some bad defensive plays throughout the game as well, although a fair amount of effort on defense too. He just seems to lose focus or decide to cheat off his man at really inopportune times. It’s also weird to talk about him getting his shot first when you’re such a devote of Curry who has averaged 6 assists (supposedly as a PG) and 18 shots @ 47% for his 24ppg career. Kind of weird how one guy gets nothing but love while you’re calling out the other one for many of the same tendencies (although much better team numbers and even a better defensive rating). But he finally carried that team who were missing 2 starters and both centers were struggling. Hopefully he’s turned a corner because they can’t win without him, but with pieces like Grimes and Naji plus Washington coming back, they could be ready to put a run together.
Luka doesn’t generate the same sort of gravitationally oriented effect that Curry does. Are we really still talking about how Steph should average more assists per game since he’s a point guard? That’s such an outdated narrative that has been debunked. The Warriors offense is at its best when Green is the primary playmaker and that’s how it has been since their first title run.
Honestly, Luka has never cared about the regular season. This attitude can cost you come to February-March but it's not in his DNA to try and win the 1st seed in the west. So you have to not worry too much about it. Two games under 500 it's NOVEMBER. ...smh nothing to worry about
Luka is losing a lot of fans. His big beer belly and lack of conditioning is unbecoming of a super star. He doesn't play hard on defense and whines to the refs.
They will be lucky to be a play-in team. Luka’s defensive effort is below that of my JV girls. He’s going to have to play close to 40 minutes a game to get that team to the playoffs and half of that will be getting picked on on the defensive side. This should be a season of reckoning for him to decide whether he wants to be one of the greats. Jokic did it, partly because Draymond called him out for it and challenged him. Luka is a soft serve cone on defense.
@@laxpaint i hear you but you're sleeping on the Mavs stepped up their defense second half of last year big time and Luka was on that team so they can do it. they still have the most explosive offense and possibly the best two closers in the league on the same TEAM. Think that people are overreacting to the Mavs troubles. What is being missed is that they were in everyone of those games right up until the end. Luka is a great rebounder and can defend in the post well. He can catch a steal often. He lacks when he needs to move quickly or laterally as he is too big. Not really that bad of a defender.
i think draft would've been more realistic if it was 2 stars (CBA😂), picks 3-5 are non-star starters (sub 20ppg??), and the remaining picks are bench players around the league. not sure what kind of miracle trade they can pull off to save their season like they did last year when they jettisonned Grant Williams to get PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford in return. This might be another year he's written off early so Dallas can tank for another Lively.

They had to deal with injuries, bullshit foul calls, and new personnel who still haven’t found their place on the team (not to mention a coach who doesn’t understand rotations and play calling). 12 more points in the last 4 games and they’d be 9-3….but you’re saying their defense is awful….
