Very early Jokic adopter. After watching video of him at Megabasket in Serbia I thought, 'this guy will play in the NBA.' After his rookie summer league I thought, 'this guy could play for 10 years or more.' After his rookie season I thought, 'this guy will be an NBA starter for 10 years or more.' After his second year I thought, 'this guy could be a perennial all star.' After his 4th year I thought, 'this guy could be an MVP.' After he won his first MVP I thought, 'this guy could win multiple MVP's and lead a team to a title.' And then he did. But now he's reached, if possible, even another level. Anyone--even early adopters like myself or Adam--that says they saw this coming is just blowing smoke. Maybe the greatest single story of exceeding every expectation in league history.

As a Mavs fan we’ve been frustrating to start, but a couple things
-We’re trying to incorporate 4 new guys into the system/rotations
-We are somehow down 4 core rotation players already 10 games in between PJ, Lively, Kleber, and Exum. With PJ and Kleber out we literally have no true PF and Powell is our only center after Gafford and when he’s supposed to be arguably a 4th stringer.
-Luka didn’t have a preseason and apparently Kidd is trying to alleviate the pressure for him to initiate 90% of the offense. That takes time for him to adjust to.
-Klay has been relatively slow to start
Despite all that we were within 3 total points away of being 7-3 right now between the Suns and Nuggets game.
So even if everything was going perfectly in terms of health there’d still be a pretty big adjustment period between Luka adjusting to letting others initiate the offense, adjusting to Klay, new guys like Naji and Grimes adjusting to us.
I think we’ll be fine. Just like last year we just need one stretch where everyone is healthy and has time to settle in.
That being said Luka 100% has been pretty annoying and needs to pick it up soon. We know he’s so much better than this, but even the best players have rough stretches.

biggest issue I see brewing is Murray being okay with Westbrook having good nights and being the lead PG at times. everyone seems to be playing nice at the moment but I could see Murray reacting negatively if there is an extended stretch of RW ballin' out and the media gets to chirping about Murray's max contract and all the rest of it. Good thing they have Jokic to keep it real and all RW wants is a ring to round out his HOF career and I doubt he cares how it happens. Bottom line is we are going to need the young guys to play consistently throughout the season in order to have a chance at a deep run. Don't need them to be great but provide consistent effort that can be counted on and schemed to.

ua-cam.com/users/shorts3U596sE9Y8M?si=QxVbBK2lQvQ7SZuI ...this is what the crowd does in Pionir in Belgrade when the King comes in, even not basketball related, the support actor for that night (thee Man who finished game called tennis, nothing left to win), hehe... it would be the same if Joker played in Serbia!! that's still missing in Ball and everything would be perfect !! the Nuggets boys would be champions for sure !! of course I'm not saying that it's not crazy now either, but it's like they're waiting for the results from the boys first, and only then are they ready to give their all
