My roommate and i would do this at Vegas buffets. We each had 5 minutes to create a plate and our friends would vote on the best presentation. We watched too much Top Chef.
Caitlyn is a sweetheart. When I made my pilgrimage to the Co-Op, Caitlyn was working. She let me feed Murphy. :-) I enjoy any video with Dean. He's a treasure trove of knowledge. The moss bridge and the floating moss balls are in one of my tall nano tanks. They are starting to grow fuller. I really like them. I have quite a few nano tanks along with my larger tanks. I enjoy having a mix of tank sizes. Thanks for the video.
I love your shout out to your employee, such a simple thing that probably made her feel so valued! You seem like such a stand up guy in all that you do; between the knowledge and your honest opinions wether you do or don’t make a buck on it. I have never watched a fish channel that wasn’t mostly bettas until yours and you have inspired me so much in the hobby! Thanks for this channel and the time you put into it!!
I have a 3 gallon Fluval Spec at my work desk with a single pea puffer, 5 cherry shrimp, and a handful of ramshorns snails. The snails and shrimp eat the algae and the puffer eats the snails. It's pretty self-sufficient.
To be honest I really love the length of this tank. Its not always about how much water is inside, its about how long and wide the tank actually is. Fish mostly go back and forth, not up and down. Yes they do that too but more space like this is just.. more fun. only issue is with plants growing way too fast way too high.
Congratulaions Caitlyn! And I love Clifford the Big Red Betta! And also, I think it helps that these 3.5 gallon tanks are long, with greater surface area and a larger footprint for fish territory and exploration. And if you are using hang on back filtration, as opposed to air pumps and sponges, it allows for more space in the aquarium where the agitation from water flow is minimized to help bettas and little fish from living in rough waters and expending too much energy.
Any video from you guys is greatly appreciated. Right before this popped up I was feeding green beans to my super red bushy nose tank and some of my Anubias is flowering all because of you and you making me think I could keep live plants.
Omg ❤ the nanoscape. I have a 5 gallon nanoscape for my betta, Frederico. Good job Caitlyn. More nano tank content, its awesome. And true you don't save money with nano, its just smaller scale with same and sometimes more expensive price than regular tanks.
This is one of my favorite videos and one that I come back to reference from time to time to get ideas and inspiration for one of my tanks; it’s a bookshelf style 6.5-gal, so I LOVE the tiny little 3-gal in this video 😊
Love how passionate you guys are about the hobby 👍 think this video will help out a lot of newbies to the hobby who can't justify starting out with a large aquarium, but still want schooling fish, probably worth going for a 10 gallon for a little more flexibility but still goes to show that you can get nano fish in a tank as small as a 3 gallon 👌
I’ve been wanting a pea puffer tank for years now. I watched your video and purchased the plants from your store online 😂 in a couple months I’ll finally have my pea puffers !
I would love to see you guys ACTUALLY do this 3 gallon challenge, and if you have I'm sorry but would love to see the outcome. I'm getting into doing these little "super nano" tanks, and I'd love to see what you've done and what you do to keep it running.
@@alexmccaslin4340 yeah, it seems i cant order online through Aquarium Masters. Went to co-op website and i did not find the tank in their inventory. Would love to buy this tank
Dwarf puffers are awesome! I have one in a five gallon next to my bed, he's by far the coolest fish that I've ever owned, and I've kept African cichlids. I feed him frozen blood worms, but I've also had great success feeding him Hikari Vibra Bites. Love your videos, I've learned so much since I started watching your channel. If I ever make it up there, I'll buy you some tacos

This is unusually interesting. Anyone can throw money in a big tank an it can look passable but do do an eye catching job on a small enclosure, well that is a really special ability. Let us have more of these!
The aquarium nazis on reddit would hate you guys telling people about small tanks and fish being okay, but I’m glad to see the pros doing the education rather than some of the snobs on reddit!
Redditors are some of the worst, and most have barely kept a fish for more than a year or two tops. Having a different opinion that doesn't fall in lockstep almost guarantees downvotes, especially on the betta sub.
Suggestion: Corey--you need some little stools people can pull up to look at fish on the lower levels. I get very frustrated at my LFS when I can't see the fish on the bottom and I don't want to sit on the floor (it's dirty at my LFS). A lot of people with disabilities (and elderly people) are into fish and it's hard for them to get up and down.
Another great vid Cory! Happy to see that the staff was able to keep the kokedama I made as a gift for being so kind and cool. With the quarantine I haven’t been able to make it in and check on it and see how the staff is doing, but I hope all it well!
Oh, its that beautiful shelf tank again! This video might pull me into the "second tank" rabbit hole. :') It just looks so good, without taking up a ton of room.
What is the fish over Dean's right shoulder (to the left from our POV) at 9:51? They're swimming in a VERY tight ball, and going round and round. ID? Thanks!
I like Dean's suggestions with CPDs and blue velvets. I actually have them in a 10g together! I have 5 CPDs(3f/2m), 3 pygmy corys, 2 clown killis, and a dozen blue velvets. If and when I find more clown killis, I'm hoping to add more since the two I have are both males.
Not sure if you can answer this but I am doing a 40g breeder with a few schools of smaller fish. here is my breakdown and wonder what you recommend food wise for all them as a lot I have not had before. 8 Celestrial Pearl Danio, 12 Chili Rasbora, 12 neon Tetra1 10 Rummynose, 5 Featherfin Rainbow, 3 Amano shrimp, 6 cherry shrimp, 2 fiddler crabs, 8-10 Panda cory and 1 Hillstream Loach.
I’d buy a couple of those 3 gallon tanks. Any good online stores that sell them for a reasonable price? Or maybe the same tank you guys are showing? Great video 👍🏻 😎

I haven’t seen any videos on octagon aquariums. What’s the deal with them? Would you set up a small octagon differently? I’m curious what filter would be best in one as well??!
Dang, I wish my current job had a similar mentality about their employees. I went off and got several certifications and all I got is grief from my management chain. To the point that tomorrow is my last day, because I quit. I’m worth more than the treatment I’ve gotten. You guys are awesome and I’m thrilled to see Caitlin got that award!

This is funny - I just ordered some Amano shrimp from them a few days ago.

Just ordered some African dwarf frogs from them with your code 😊
Hey! I've been there and I wanted to meet you, but you weren't there, but I still loved it! All the way from Seattle! Love your videos
Im absolutely stunned at how that 3 gallon looks bigger than my 5 gallon tank. Huge props to her
it looks like he took my 3 gallon cube and bought another one and stuck it together😭it cant be a 3 gallon it just looks to big🤣
You should make a competition. You both have a 3 gallon tank, and you scape it like you want, and rate each others. That would be a good video :)
Dean's would be a spotless bare bottom tank with a sponge filter lol
@@frickbot dont forget the tiles!

Confession: I keep Aquarium Co-op on all day and listen to Cory educate me about fish and plants while I work. I've learned SO much by doing this!
You guys need to post info on how to get those 3 gallon tanks. A ton of people want to know and can’t find them.
Why does my 8.5 gallon tank seem smaller than that 3 gallon?! Maybe just the angle from the vidro
I know that tank looks like an 8 gallon
I was thinking the same thing about my 7.3 gallon. I think that's because those 3 gallon are narrow tanks.
It looks smaller in person
It’s probably a 3 gallon long and your tank might be a wide that’s how it looks bigger but the height is smaller
Where can I get that 3 gallon tank?
