Hi Karine! I had no idea about the new bottles! That is so interesting! I am going to try this if I can. My local counter overwhelmed me last time I tried to sample 2 or 3, they are too fast! 😂
It was released at the beginning of March in France. There is usually some delay like a month or two for US/Canada so I hope it will arrive before June 😊 As they also change their whole aqua allegoria packaging, I don't know if this would change anything about the release date.
Appreciate the review Karine! This was one of the few Guerlains that I was watching, partly because of that basil note. It's definitely true that it's more of a supporting player in most fragrances that feature it, even if they're really green. Seems like your skin needs 'a talkin' to! 😆
Well... Neroli 😬 but Karine you make it sound so beautiful, you're too good at that. And that Shalimar, making us dream of tropical holidays 😍ah if only. Great to have a video from you
Hey Karine. Thank you so much for this video. Do you think Guerlain changed the formula of the previous Aqua Allegoria perfumes once they repackaged them in these new bottles?
This is a very interesting question. I wondered the same when they claimed that the aqua allegoria are all 90-ish % natural. This means either they were already natural and were just rebottled or they had to be reformulated. Also I don't think that they were produced with beetroot alcohol previously and that they were all so natural so ... I'm thinking more about reformulation. I would have to try them again in their new formula to check if there is any clear difference.
Ha ha ha cat pee love it! I own mandarine basilic and I love it, that and herba fresca I also still have ylang & vanille shame it was discontinued in my opinion L'Artisan parfmeur Figuer is sublime im not a fan of fig fragrances but this one omg!
The fig accord is treated really differently in fragrances it can be either really green almost bitter, aromatic or sweet and juicy, or even milky ... So that may explain why this is a love hate for me and so many people. I may have only 3 or 4 fragrances with that note 😅
I was thinking trying this cause I struggle finding a really fresh scent that doesn't turn sweet in the dry down on me. Do you experience that with this? And also how's the performance in this?
This one is less dry than Parade and has a bit of sweetness but is mainly floral. My skin tends to emphasize sweetness too and I don't have the issue with this one. The opening is pretty strong. I would say it has a good projection and sillage for about 1 or 2 hours. After that it stays closer to the skin but has a great longevity (about 8 hours on me). Which is quite something for an aqua allegoria 😊
I am wondering if you had a chance to try Nerolia Vetiver Harvest. I am considering buying it as it has added honey and vetiver is more toned down which sounds perfect for me. I feel I am not a huge fan of strong vetiver! (i like all other Forte but for Nerolia I am considering the Harvest version)
I tried it and found it really close to the original with just a touch of honey on top of it. If you're not fond of vetiver, I would still recommend you to try it first then 😉
Really interested to try this one, thanks for the review!
You're welcome 😊

It's hard to keep up, they have so many releases now 😆 And I heard a new one is coming soon in April / May again in Les absolus d'orient collection 😅
Great review. Interested in this one. Wonder when it will finally show up in the US

I think it works really well in Synthetic Jungle by FM. I love eating basil but well, smelling like pesto is a totally different thing for me 😅
This sounds amazing for spring and summer 😍
Yes, I think this will be part of my "go to" for Spring / Summer with Bergamote Calabria 😊
pick it up for spring Rich, its amazing

Your kryptonite 🤣🤣🤣
Yes, I think Shalimar Souffle d'oranger would be more appropriate for you 😜
