This game really needed extra polish. Also having this whole thing take place on one night was a big mistake. It rushes the story and doesn’t give us time to really get involved with the world. This game should’ve taken 3-4 nights at least!
@@haydensinterlude That definitely explains the state of the story. But now I’m wondering why the developers just didn’t hire another writer to come help flesh out the script
I remember seeing a comment where if they could change what happened in Zoochosis they would go into backstories like maybe we can start at the home with Lily and Gina and all that, also why Doc is doing this and the reveal of other characters and how they get to there. Basically all of that. I hope that maybe in a reboot they'll make it happen over the span of a week, that would make sense with the disease implanted in the body or whatever it is. "What if the workers snitch on whats happening..!" The Zoo is rich enough to keep mother alive and her in a big container so they are probably rich enough to have living quarters much like dorms or apartments with their own Bedroom, Bathroom and kitchen maybe. But idk I'm just rambling on
I'm not really sure why people find it so odd that a ZOO would be housing animals while closed to public. I mean... ZOOs exist mainly to house and take care of animals, especially endangered ones. For example several ZOOs in my country work tirelessly to try and breed endangered species, quite successfuly I might add. The tourism thing is there just to generate money to keep the finances up. Taking care of animals is not cheap. But if a ZOO has enough money from other sources, such as sponsorships and such, then there's little need to stress animals with the visitors. Also... why wouldn't the ZOO have scientists? One of their purposes is to study animals and for example help develop some cure if there's a sickness spreading in the wild. ZOOs are not just animal entertainment parks. There's A LOT happening in the background.
@@acrazyweeb7225 I did work experience at a zoo while I was in college, you'd be amazed at all the research the keepers do on the animals. Blood, urine and stool samples every couple of months, on-site vets, researching certain behaviours, enrichment to stop the animals from developing actual Zoochosis, breeding programs, potential reintroduction to the wild to prevent extinction, all of that and more takes place behind the closed doors of a zoo
It's not that it's ODD that it's housing animals while closed. The red flag was them being closed for 2 years, and STILL housing them. THAT is definitely worth questioning. Short term, fair. 2 years though, they could have been relocated by now.
I hope this was game was longer and have more content like seeing the transformation, the mother stalking us, the trolley being broken and having to fix it and an actual fight against the mother
So the main character is a down-on-his-luck tech student looking for any job he can find and becomes a zookeeper, a job that requires years of training in a completly unrelated field?
Well they did say he is not the brightest one. If someone hires me to do something that I can't and needs years of experience that I don't have I most likely would correctly assume I am going to be the scape goat for something.
You know the zoo is super sketchy when they are hiring keepers without qualifications. Zoo keepers at accredited zoos are college educated and often way over-qualified and under-paid
I didn’t realize that the body bag was Lily. That’s got to be the saddest part of all of this. That would personally destroy my will to live if that happened to my wife. Hopefully Sara takes care of Paul and Gina.
"faceless medusa" - more apt description for the mother tho........following how she can be taken down by stripping away her fertility to produce parasites and when all the parasites die she is instantly noted as dead. Too bad the writer died halfway :( .
I was really excited for this game and it was so disappointing to see what was released. The creature designs are great and the gameplay has promise, but the writing is just not good. Not to mention, the animal husbandry is abysmal.
I have said this in other videos mentioning this, but I feel like this is worth mentioning. If the meat that the zoo uses is made from humans, does that mean Paul’s wife nearly ate human flesh?
Having played the game it put more effort in the story than the gameplay imo it’d a horror game with only jump scares and boss fights for the monsters which totally took me out of it
Thought the same. Especially in the scene where Sarah talked when sitting at the computer. I guess it's because only the mouth is moving without other muscles contracting
11:55 did paul save his wife? cus you said she was right there at 11:25 but I didnt see her in the clip of paul ans Sarah being outside, or is the wife dead?
The police weren't in on it, it's the highest level of government, which contacts lower levels, who contacts even lower levels, and then the police chief gets a call. Saying the police are in on it is a little broad, as the average policeman wouldn't really... well, y'know.
I wonder how many much more desperate victims fell for this. I know that this isn't pauls fault when you are desperate and running out of money and you have a family you would do anything so Oliver might have done this thousands of times.(me before watching the vid)

I appreciate Sara being a real one and going "nah, you're not sacrificing yourself, lemme just inject the jerk behind all this.".
I mean it's her dad and she hates him for what he did, of course she wants him to be the one to be what ends it

I think it’s because the screenwriter died while the game was being produced so it was rushed.

This story of Zoochosis is crazy and signing that agreement for Paul was a bad idea. Never take a job from someone who knows you have no other option.

Zoologists/biologists clearly aren’t a thing
The story is kinda stupid since signing an NDA doesn't prevent you from reporting crimes, which there clearly is.

You can definitely tell the story isnt fully developed. It never will be, either. The writer died.
What really?
The reason why the story feels rushed is the main writer sadly died and its obvious that he had the ideas for the game so they just released it
$100,000 a year means the job pays $48.08 an hour.
Bro ppl forget that this is the best representation of just being "thrown into" a job. It makes sense that it's one night.
