  • Please note that in the left-hand harmonics, there are one or two instances where different fingers are used than indicated in the score, such as using the ring finger instead of the thumb, and the rhythm can still be adjustable.
    This recording was using lower the 3rd string tuning.

    Amazing, did you just play this on Quanming Tuning? Just wondering if it was Yamagata's treatise or another scholar that gave you the idea?
    *Listened for a second time* Wait...is this Manjue Tuning...? Or, what is this -3 and -7 string tuning?

      Thank you Juni. It is Manjue Tuning. After studied Yamadera's book and considering 張世彬's study of the tuning of Yolan, I decided to take 張's idea of using Manjue, lower the 3rd tuning. Most of the fingerings is based on my understanding of the interpretation of 琴用指法, which is the oldest survived qin fingering manuscript and currently store in Japan Hakone Castle museum, and following the original manuscript of Yolan.
