It still amazes me how Blizzard refuses to create mini series, like Castlevania or similar for their lore & characters. There are so much good stuff they could turn into amazing movies/series - especially the story about Arthas. Hope they realize that someday.
@@jslaughter95 They got a hell lot of money, that's not the point, but they are overall a gaming company with focus on that game, so a movie or series would likely be outsourced anyway. If they do it themselves they would want to go for the quality of the cinematics, but that would cost a hell lot more and then it is indeed about if that is worth it - especially when you got that giant social media crybaby crowd which will hate on it anyway, no matter what, because that's their thing.

I've been waiting a decade for a good Arthas retelling! I'd personally like to see more Arthas-central series. And if it does well, Illidan could come after? Arthas only had his big bad villain arc explored in WoW, which I felt was a shame. The book, Arthas: Rise of the Lich King by Christie Golden does way better in building Arthas as a character.
@@junshum2412 the book could have been very good on it's own if the warcraft games did not exist. But it basically contradicted game details especially about arthas. Blizzard has just been shit writers ruining great things for years now, and it's not stopping.
Yeah, too bad they killed him off in Shadowlands... Feel like the people there now see him as some type of 'rightwing' hero or something with the distain they talk about Arthas with. Lets just hope when his story is told on the big screen, Blizzard has as little to do with it as possible and Metzen has everything to do with it.
@turkeyman631 which is damn shame. Arthas is one of the greatest written characters in history. Playing him in warcraft 3 going from paladin to the lich king himself was just top tier. The final cutscene of him ascending the throne hearing all the whispers and then breaking ner'zul out and putting on the helm while saying "now we are one." Was just chilling. And the outro music! And then in classic while doing naxx and at kel'thuzad rooms and seeing his yelling in the chat was great foreshadowing. And then the greatest trailer in history the wrath trailer! Then him taunting you through the entire expansion with certain questchains, the wrathgate, him appearing in toc, and then finally the icc dungeons all ending with icc raid itself with an amazing opening trailer and a phenomenal ending cutscene.
@turkeyman631 I'd love if they did, but I honestly don't think they will, just look at all the movies which have come out in the last 5 or so years. It's not promising at all.
@@scytze yeah, or if they did a movie, it'd have to be a triology. WC3 OG + Frozen Throne + WOTLK. I'd rather see a series, and have it be CGI for no live casting, outside of using the live person as the model. that way the OG voice actors can come in, and they'd be able to make the OG 25m Heroic team from the ICC world first clear fight him ontop of the citadel.
Just want to say another huge thank you to the overwhelming positive feedback and support I've gotten from this production, I honestly didn't think it would get any more then maybe a few hundred views at most 😅 The ironic thing is that I published this trailer when I did because I was planning on using it as a showcase piece in my portfolio to apply for a job, a position to which I haven't heard anything back from after sending this all through 🙃 If I'd known I wasn't going to hear back from the company, I would have spent another two weeks on this polishing it off and doing the things which I wrote off at the time for being "too time consuming". So to have this much positive feedback to a piece I honestly think is unrefined is amazing ❤ I'm currently in the brainstorming process of the full production, and I need help with a big decision, whether to make this a movie or a series. I'm not gonna lie, I think it will do much better as a series going forward but I did put "movie trailer" in the title and don't really wanna disappoint people who subbed because they were expecting a movie. So I'd really appreciate if you all could reply to this comment with what you'd prefer, a series (10 part for example), or a movie. ALSO, if anyone is interested in collaborating on this project in anyway shape or form, I'd be more than happy to do so. While it would be cool to make a full production by myself, I can't deny the fact that most really amazing and epic fan made cinematic pieces are made by a team, so I'm open to anyone who wants to come forward and work together with me to make this piece worthy of the story its based on. I think series is a better idea than a movie. This story is far too complex for a single movie in my opinion (there's a whole book about Arthas becoming a lich king). I also believe that making, say 20-40 minutes episodes would be easier for you and you would get feedback after every episode you release - a good way for improvement in quality in future episodes. You also won't be worried about the length of the movie being too long or not telling every part of the story because of it. And there is a great chance more people will notice your work through series. Aaaand we (the viewers) would get the first episode sooner than we would a whole movie ;) . I am very excited that you want to do this, Arthas is my favourite character in Warcraft universe and the first book I read was the one about him, so thank you for doing this 😊 this trailer is amazing, it really is. Oh and don't worry about dissapointing people if you decide to make series instead of a movie because the trailer "is for the movie"... I honestly didn't think that your plan is to really make something bigger than the trailer. A lot of people just make "a trailer" for a movie they would love to see but don't make it themselves. It was a pleasant surprise to find out I this is not the case ;) .
@samueltomko6632 Firstly, thank you for your kind words and great feedback :) I totally agree with you, I know for a fact I will never want to release a movie, or it will take 10 years, because I'll never be happy with it and will always be thinking of components which are missing. A series would be a whole lot more manageable, and would be great for attracting additional talent to help make it into something legendary. Another interesting factor that's going to be exciting to work with is the jumps in AI capabilities with each episode. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that with how fast AI video and animation has been evolving, every single episode in the series will be showcasing the latest developments in this area, which I honestly find so exciting to think about just from a experimental perspective. Like imagine comparing the first episode and the last episode, the first one would be with the most outdated tech, and smallest team (myself), compared to the final episode which would be the most cutting edge tech with hopefully a team of 4-5 people. This is a future I'm excited about.
Man, honestly? What ever you decide to do. It will be fkcing insane lol. I think ppl will be happy with both. But yea series would make a lot of sense. If you decide the movie. You can do trilogy. For instance first episode - fall of lorderon (ends with purging the city) 2 episode - curse of frostmourne (obtaining frostmourne etc.) last episode - the frozen throne (ends how arthas settled on throne) just few ideas rights? :D. Obviously you will skip some events but you can focus on most important ones.
AI can only produce what human's can imagine with prompts using what already exists, hence why images of russel crowe showed up, henry cavil, amelia clarke etc. great piece of work this is for sure, but don't give AI, god like praise when humans still produced 99.9% of all the stuff being utilized in the images.
You're confusing things. Humans made this like every movie before, it's just done using different technology which is AI. We're very far from having AI authors, directors and producers lol
I always wanted to see Warcraft IV, or a good warcraft movie / tv series, I guess one person with the help of AI technologies can do it, unlike holywood and blizzard. Anyway, although I find it weird some of the characters look different in different images, this is all very cool and intriguing and I can't wait for it. Will it be published on this channel? You know, if Blizzard really wanted us to get back into playing WoW, all they had to do was name the next expansion "Arthas" and give us a true redemption arc for one the greatest heroes and villains in all of fantasy.

Fully, with details, with book, with WoW expansions... there is nothing more to say about it so they can do one thing: repeat it once again. Would they make it better or worse? Blizzard did to Arthas what Disney did to Luke Skywalker. Murdered everything cool about him in Shadowlands... if Blizzard brought back Arthas, they'd probably have him drinking blue milk from a Tuskarr's nipple. They've already ruined him, don't let them ruin him further.
Arthas is gone. his soul is literally GONE. his story was absolutely trashed in Shadowlands, letting Sylvanas be the last one to say anything about him, or the fact we didn't even get to see him, just some tiny blue light that was his "soul". Not letting Uther say EVEN A SINGLE WORD was absolute BS. Blizzard destroyed his story with Shadowlands. His story was meant to be heartbreaking and depressing and should have ended in WOTLK after the ICC raid. if they brought him back, it would tarnish the entire thing that WC3 and WOTLK built. they need to leave him be, the disappointment that was shadowlands is the "final" part of his story. absolute joke. No, if Blizzard wanted to get people into WoW, they'd cast Henry Cavil as Arthas and make a live story telling movie series about him. or make a CGI movie like we've been wanting for years, and use Cavil as the physical model for it, and then they'd be able to use the original 25m heroic team that cleared him for the first time back in the day.
I will start a Go fund me, we will build the funds to pay for Henry Cavill as Arthas because lets face it he is the best choice. We will then pay blizzard to get on board, they own the rights to the story. We will use the writers that crated The Linch king story and we will show Hollywood that people power is everything. We need more people in this space making creative pieces, the future of entertainment for audiences like us who are into very niche themes/subjects is in AI. You can't rely on Hollywood to make ANYTHING good anymore.
This is just a crazy dream of an idea but if you got an animation team together and made this into a TV show with the seasons focusing on a major character or plot in the Warcraft timeline it would be one of the coolest things to ever exist tbh. As far as feedback, I just think there would need to be actual animation. This is super cool don’t get me wrong but a slideshow of moving images wouldn’t be that interesting to watch. Excited to see where you go with it! Something like it would probably take millions of dollars. But yeah, if it existed, coolest thing ever.

they really should just make an animated series about warcraft and call it azeroth and they should write with non-wow players in mind. often, people won't watch game-movie/tvshow adaptions because they think they won't understand it.... but the story is something everyone could love.
This is an cool and interesting trailer for sure, and I personally couldn't produce anything of this standard. However I would say that to me this seemed to be a series of nearly still images and unfortunately didnt actually show any action dynamic movement or interaction between models e.g battles or any interaction really, I'm interested to see how this project progresses towards the end being a huge fan of the franchise, however yeah was kind of hoping that it would have showed a fair bit more action e.g action packed Hurricane's WoW trailers and the like as opposed to static images cool music and ambient lighting.
Thanks for your feedback :) I totally agree with you btw, I was thinking the whole time that there needed to be a ton more motion and dynamic movement. However, mainly due to limitations of what AI can do currently and time constraints on my part, I decided to go with the more boring route. I'm a big fan of Hurricane's work and what he's done in the WoW cinematic space, however, he is doing traditional 3D rendering with blender and Unreal Engine 5 I'd guess. I'd be willing to go down that route for the final production if time warranted, but it does take much much longer to do those sorts of animations, and I'm a complete noob in traditional 3D animation compared to him haha. One of the main ideas with this production is to showcase what's currently possible with AI video animation tech, because of how fast the industry is moving in this space, the possibilities keep opening up every 2-3 months. I actually thought about this for the full production, by the time I brush up my blender/URE 5 skills and animate scenes for the final production, its likely that AI capability will have already surpassed what I'm able to produce. It's quite sad but the most likely outcome. All that being said I will most definitely focus on much more polished piece for the final production with tons of dynamic movements and hopefully full on fight scenes.

@-Wolfheart Because I feel like people are trying to rush their productions due to have AI is supposed to make everything faster. When in reality, it should take just as long if not longer to make a fully fledged production (I'm talking a proper 30-60min) film. The main advantage of AI is the fact that instead of needing a studio with 100's of people working on 1 production, you can now do it with a handful of people, but it will still take ages if its polished. Obviously you can do it fully solo as well like I have with this trailer, however, I'm not going to kid myself into thinking that a full production completely solo will be easy or even to a quality good enough to be worthy of a story such as Arthas's. That's why I'm actively trying to find a handful of people to collab on this project with as I really don't want it to be a fail.

Yeah, too bad they killed him off in Shadowlands... Feel like the people there now see him as some type of 'rightwing' hero or something with the distain they talk about Arthas with. Lets just hope when his story is told on the big screen, Blizzard has as little to do with it as possible and Metzen has everything to do with it.
@turkeyman631 which is damn shame. Arthas is one of the greatest written characters in history. Playing him in warcraft 3 going from paladin to the lich king himself was just top tier. The final cutscene of him ascending the throne hearing all the whispers and then breaking ner'zul out and putting on the helm while saying "now we are one." Was just chilling. And the outro music! And then in classic while doing naxx and at kel'thuzad rooms and seeing his yelling in the chat was great foreshadowing. And then the greatest trailer in history the wrath trailer! Then him taunting you through the entire expansion with certain questchains, the wrathgate, him appearing in toc, and then finally the icc dungeons all ending with icc raid itself with an amazing opening trailer and a phenomenal ending cutscene.

I'd rather see a series, and have it be CGI for no live casting, outside of using the live person as the model. that way the OG voice actors can come in, and they'd be able to make the OG 25m Heroic team from the ICC world first clear fight him ontop of the citadel.

Just want to say another huge thank you to the overwhelming positive feedback and support I've gotten from this production, I honestly didn't think it would get any more then maybe a few hundred views at most 😅
The ironic thing is that I published this trailer when I did because I was planning on using it as a showcase piece in my portfolio to apply for a job, a position to which I haven't heard anything back from after sending this all through 🙃
If I'd known I wasn't going to hear back from the company, I would have spent another two weeks on this polishing it off and doing the things which I wrote off at the time for being "too time consuming". So to have this much positive feedback to a piece I honestly think is unrefined is amazing ❤
I'm currently in the brainstorming process of the full production, and I need help with a big decision, whether to make this a movie or a series. I'm not gonna lie, I think it will do much better as a series going forward but I did put "movie trailer" in the title and don't really wanna disappoint people who subbed because they were expecting a movie.
So I'd really appreciate if you all could reply to this comment with what you'd prefer, a series (10 part for example), or a movie.
ALSO, if anyone is interested in collaborating on this project in anyway shape or form, I'd be more than happy to do so. While it would be cool to make a full production by myself, I can't deny the fact that most really amazing and epic fan made cinematic pieces are made by a team, so I'm open to anyone who wants to come forward and work together with me to make this piece worthy of the story its based on.

A movie series would be a great way to delivery all the storyline to even the end with Anduin.
You did a great job.
I think series is a better idea than a movie. This story is far too complex for a single movie in my opinion (there's a whole book about Arthas becoming a lich king). I also believe that making, say 20-40 minutes episodes would be easier for you and you would get feedback after every episode you release - a good way for improvement in quality in future episodes.
You also won't be worried about the length of the movie being too long or not telling every part of the story because of it.
And there is a great chance more people will notice your work through series. Aaaand we (the viewers) would get the first episode sooner than we would a whole movie ;) .
I am very excited that you want to do this, Arthas is my favourite character in Warcraft universe and the first book I read was the one about him, so thank you for doing this 😊 this trailer is amazing, it really is. Oh and don't worry about dissapointing people if you decide to make series instead of a movie because the trailer "is for the movie"... I honestly didn't think that your plan is to really make something bigger than the trailer. A lot of people just make "a trailer" for a movie they would love to see but don't make it themselves. It was a pleasant surprise to find out I this is not the case ;) .

@samueltomko6632 Firstly, thank you for your kind words and great feedback :) I totally agree with you, I know for a fact I will never want to release a movie, or it will take 10 years, because I'll never be happy with it and will always be thinking of components which are missing. A series would be a whole lot more manageable, and would be great for attracting additional talent to help make it into something legendary.
Another interesting factor that's going to be exciting to work with is the jumps in AI capabilities with each episode. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that with how fast AI video and animation has been evolving, every single episode in the series will be showcasing the latest developments in this area, which I honestly find so exciting to think about just from a experimental perspective. Like imagine comparing the first episode and the last episode, the first one would be with the most outdated tech, and smallest team (myself), compared to the final episode which would be the most cutting edge tech with hopefully a team of 4-5 people.
This is a future I'm excited about.
Man, honestly? What ever you decide to do. It will be fkcing insane lol. I think ppl will be happy with both. But yea series would make a lot of sense. If you decide the movie. You can do trilogy. For instance first episode - fall of lorderon (ends with purging the city) 2 episode - curse of frostmourne (obtaining frostmourne etc.) last episode - the frozen throne (ends how arthas settled on throne) just few ideas rights? :D. Obviously you will skip some events but you can focus on most important ones.

AI can only produce what human's can imagine with prompts using what already exists, hence why images of russel crowe showed up, henry cavil, amelia clarke etc. great piece of work this is for sure, but don't give AI, god like praise when humans still produced 99.9% of all the stuff being utilized in the images.

You know, if Blizzard really wanted us to get back into playing WoW, all they had to do was name the next expansion "Arthas" and give us a true redemption arc for one the greatest heroes and villains in all of fantasy.

Blizzard did to Arthas what Disney did to Luke Skywalker. Murdered everything cool about him in Shadowlands... if Blizzard brought back Arthas, they'd probably have him drinking blue milk from a Tuskarr's nipple. They've already ruined him, don't let them ruin him further.
Arthas is gone. his soul is literally GONE. his story was absolutely trashed in Shadowlands, letting Sylvanas be the last one to say anything about him, or the fact we didn't even get to see him, just some tiny blue light that was his "soul". Not letting Uther say EVEN A SINGLE WORD was absolute BS. Blizzard destroyed his story with Shadowlands. His story was meant to be heartbreaking and depressing and should have ended in WOTLK after the ICC raid. if they brought him back, it would tarnish the entire thing that WC3 and WOTLK built. they need to leave him be, the disappointment that was shadowlands is the "final" part of his story. absolute joke.
No, if Blizzard wanted to get people into WoW, they'd cast Henry Cavil as Arthas and make a live story telling movie series about him. or make a CGI movie like we've been wanting for years, and use Cavil as the physical model for it, and then they'd be able to use the original 25m heroic team that cleared him for the first time back in the day.

This is just a crazy dream of an idea but if you got an animation team together and made this into a TV show with the seasons focusing on a major character or plot in the Warcraft timeline it would be one of the coolest things to ever exist tbh.
As far as feedback, I just think there would need to be actual animation. This is super cool don’t get me wrong but a slideshow of moving images wouldn’t be that interesting to watch. Excited to see where you go with it!

Netflix should do a Warcraft 3 TV Series, like Cyberpunk or Arcane, the whole Warcraft 3 Plot would be perfect to adapt.

they really should just make an animated series about warcraft and call it azeroth and they should write with non-wow players in mind. often, people won't watch game-movie/tvshow adaptions because they think they won't understand it.... but the story is something everyone could love.

This is an cool and interesting trailer for sure, and I personally couldn't produce anything of this standard. However I would say that to me this seemed to be a series of nearly still images and unfortunately didnt actually show any action dynamic movement or interaction between models e.g battles or any interaction really, I'm interested to see how this project progresses towards the end being a huge fan of the franchise, however yeah was kind of hoping that it would have showed a fair bit more action e.g action packed Hurricane's WoW trailers and the like as opposed to static images cool music and ambient lighting.

I totally agree with you btw, I was thinking the whole time that there needed to be a ton more motion and dynamic movement. However, mainly due to limitations of what AI can do currently and time constraints on my part, I decided to go with the more boring route.
I'm a big fan of Hurricane's work and what he's done in the WoW cinematic space, however, he is doing traditional 3D rendering with blender and Unreal Engine 5 I'd guess. I'd be willing to go down that route for the final production if time warranted, but it does take much much longer to do those sorts of animations, and I'm a complete noob in traditional 3D animation compared to him haha.
One of the main ideas with this production is to showcase what's currently possible with AI video animation tech, because of how fast the industry is moving in this space, the possibilities keep opening up every 2-3 months. I actually thought about this for the full production, by the time I brush up my blender/URE 5 skills and animate scenes for the final production, its likely that AI capability will have already surpassed what I'm able to produce. It's quite sad but the most likely outcome.
All that being said I will most definitely focus on much more polished piece for the final production with tons of dynamic movements and hopefully full on fight scenes.

@-Wolfheart Because I feel like people are trying to rush their productions due to have AI is supposed to make everything faster.
When in reality, it should take just as long if not longer to make a fully fledged production (I'm talking a proper 30-60min) film.
The main advantage of AI is the fact that instead of needing a studio with 100's of people working on 1 production, you can now do it with a handful of people, but it will still take ages if its polished.
Obviously you can do it fully solo as well like I have with this trailer, however, I'm not going to kid myself into thinking that a full production completely solo will be easy or even to a quality good enough to be worthy of a story such as Arthas's. That's why I'm actively trying to find a handful of people to collab on this project with as I really don't want it to be a fail.
