I had one in my second metatarsal. I barely felt the injection. The nurse used freeze spray at the point the doctor inserted the needle and all I felt was a prick. My pain level was high when I went to the doctor and after the shot it eased off significantly in less that 8 hours after the shoot.
ya 1 injection 15 months ago steroid phsychosis /wead verdigo adrenal fatigue and more and still in recovery and hope it completes some day God willing
trafficjon400 You need to strengthen your feet by barefoot. Your foot will not heel from a shot, I fasted for a week 7 days and then it ate away the scar tissue I had a shot now this is day one
YES you can Drive i just got my injection and doctor told me i can Drive so i did i was afraid to walk it feels stiff i will see tomorrow if this change and yes it hurts
I fainted when I had one done 10 years ago....like I had my boots back on....was at the counter paying the bill....and I fainted in a heap on the floor, haha. So I'm a little gun shy now that I have to have another one in my other foot for peroneal tendonitis
I got Cortizone shot yesterday in my foot for plantar fasciitis. I can barely walk on it I wish I never got it. It hurt bad and I had three kids without an epidural.
Well does the injection hurt?? -_- Guys that depends on the place of the injection, the pain could be unbearable or you will barely feel anything (like an injection in your toe)
I just got my Cortisone shot yesterday and it's feels good just the after tenderness of the needle is the only side effect I dressed but other than that the pain in my heel is not there.
I had an injection in my big toe yesterday and this is the worse pain ever, the shot didn't hurt but omggg I can barely walk. Tge Dr forgot to tell me about aftercare. I wasnt in this much pain before ge did it. What can I do for relief my Big toe is swollen and I can't move it please help?
I had a shot in the same joint about 8 hours ago and I must agree the pain is severe. I've had 4 children, 2 natural with and epidural and 2 via c section and to me this pain is worse. It nauseating pain. I will let you know one this subsides, if it was worth it.
I still can't do this....I have such severe pain in my foot and I have neuropathy in that foot. I had injections in my shoulder and elbow years ago, couldn't move my arm for 3 days.
I had an injection on my foot yesterday for sesamoiditis, and today I’m in extreme pain. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it lol. Hope you’re doing good nowadays.
I had a shot in my ankle for peroneal tendonitis yesterday. Definitely was not a big deal at all. A little uncomfortable but no worse than a vaccination. I will admit, I'm pretty used to needles at this point though. I get dry needling done at physical therapy weekly and thats much more uncomfortable. You get used to it though. And trust me I do not handle needles well.
@@JJKjordan Shot did absolutely nothing for me. As I type this I am soaking my feet because I just walked a mile and am in major pain. Don't let my experience stop you though. Its a conservative option, and worth trying. It works for many.
@@JJKjordan Don't waste too much time. Go get checked out. If its acute tendonitis and in its early stages you can shake it off quick. Walking boot off Amazon is cheap. Wear it for a month until it calms down. If you're like me and have been in pain for over 4 months its much harder to treat. But either way, the first step is figuring out for sure whats wrong, and why its gone wrong.. then you take the steps to fix whatever is wrong. I've never gotten to the point where I couldn't bare weight. If your pain is severe, consider getting an MRI. I had one and it revealed many problems.. Not all of them are contributing to my pain, but that MRI is what put me on the path to taking better educated shots at getting over this.
I just had one on the ball of foot my middle toe I guess I have to wait 5 days in order for it to feel better. This is just my second day but I feel some discomfort. Hopefully it will get better.
Oh my goodness why didn't you say you're talking about the foot or the knee instead I've got it in the arm I haven't learnt anything from you not a thing

How long should I stay off work ... I work in a busy factory and I'm on my feet all day???
Thank you Dr. Brenna i wasn't sure what to do to heal faster :)
She is right from my experience it was that bad but I hope it lasts for more than 5 days

Thank you. Ankle tendons have been swollen for 4 months. Today my podiatrist injected the ankle tendon with cortisone….it should help, finger crossed🤞
Did it help?
@@alejandrovergara1500 yes, it did but still looks bruised and at times the nerve by the tendon flares up
Well I am watching this after my shots in my feet and it hurt like hell.. the worst pain I have ever endured

I had one of those bitching shots years ago. Hated it. Did nothing, and I had to go to work. Ended up having surgery.
Unlikely you had no pain.

Just wait. It always comes back.
Meanoldwoman2013 because your foot needs to be strengthened by issuing bare foot exercises
Thank you
Yeah it hurts. Idk for how long. I just got it

How did this turn out for you? I have one scheduled in that joint later this month and am having second thoughts.

I had a steroid injection to the pin point heel pain 7 days ago. I now have total plantar heel pain with weight bearing. Why? What do I do?
