I 'm a 47 year old white male in the middle of Utah .. I was blessed enough to find the one paperback copy of Mr.X's biography in a Podunk County Jail in Utah . Best book I have been lucky enough to read. If I read it once a month my life would be better .. 🤔
I read it TWICE while I was in the county jail. All people should read it. In the book he tell of a young White college girl that heard him speak at her school. After his talk she came up to him to express her sorrow about Black slavery. He said she asked him what could she do to make amends? He said it was one of the few times he was rendered speechless.

Beyond justice needing to be dispersed to Malcolm X's children is justice for the families of the falsely imprisoned men for Malcolm's murder. Not zero-sum though - all parties deserve compensation.

My heart aches every time I hear of Malcom X's murder. It is about everything that goes wrong in a society filled with racism and hate. Malcolm's legacy grows with the passing of time because it is the senseless murder of a man in his prime, a symbol of hope not only for his black brothers and sisters but hope that life does not have to be the way it is. Here's something I consider unusual :An Asian woman went up on that stage and cradled his head, trying to comfort him while the ambulance arrived. He was going to form an organization for ALL disenfranchised people. He went to Mecca and saw people of different colors and races praying to the SAME GOD! He realized that the Devil comes in ALL colors shapes and sizes. And, just like MLK, he saw that people should be judged not by skin, but by "Content of Character".

So he tried to put everything out there. His good friend and his children's GOD father, Alex Haley, helped him write it. Haley also wrote "Roots". It should be in your public library.
