When I was a kid, I practiced karate. And in the Sparring portion, my last opponent kept trying to do something similar. When I finally managed to punish it properly, I caught his kick at my hip, and just flat out yeeted him. It felt good, too. because he'd beaten me by a hair in another category.

he should have followed up with a shin-shoryuken and then time shooting off a metsu-hadouken so that his opponent lands on it and is instantly K.O.'ed lol (street fighter 4)
This setup works soooo well in Street Fighter ...Wiff the standing medium kick and go right into sweep. Will hit almost all the time..don't do it more than once tho.
An important note is that, this worked well since he noticed the opponent was going to attack his head/upper body (im guessing telegraph). Don't just throw combos out for the sake of it

then switch to spinning hook kick like Joaquin Buckley did
if your opponent manages to catch your kick, then you did many steps wrong already
After catching your legs, then the opponent becomes the hulk😂
