A friend of mine was just playing this song. It immediately reminded me of this video that I first watched now nearly 14 years ago. Brought back many memories and put a big smile on my face. Thank you.
I can't hear this song on the radio without thinking of this video now! My husband introduced it to me a few years back. He used to work as a flight engineer in the military and then in the civilian sector.
Friends, I flew cargo flights for long 14 years (727, DC-8 and 767), and I miss this time. Seeing the movie, I was reminded of my flights that were so much rock and roll, lots of laughs and a little money, but they were fantastic days. Congratulations and thank you for bringing me great memories of those days
'stuck in the middle with you' 'jokers to the right' 'get down the stairs' Anyone else noticed this song fits perfect to the video? Awesome video mate, watched this vid about 6 times in 2 days, i so wanna go flying by myself one day
As a retired Flying Tiger pilot, I did not think anything could make me miss the grind. But, this video really brings back memories of a very unique life. Thanks for sharing. I wish I could go back and do it again, for a week or two, maybe a night, maybe not. Good to see you guys having fun.,
Brings back great memories of my "Freight dog" days as a 74' "Plumber" every time I watch this and my glider days as I watch Matt's soaring vids. Miss your works Matt, God rest you.
Highly talented videographer, truly captures the joy, hardship and camaraderie of the airline industry we call it family. Many mahalos for producing this video. Miss my old jumbo-jet. Aloha.
Another great video by Balleka! Loved the snow falling 'up'! And the very sharp Flight Engineer at 3:20 who had enough of the sloppy Captain and 'saved the airplane' by finally turning on the landing lights, albeit a bit late considering most airliners turn them on descending thru 18,000'. Loved the great 'acting' -- clowns to the left, jokers to the right, here I am.. stuck in the middle with you! Who knew the words to the old Steelers Wheel song would fit this life so well!
Amazing. I was born not in the 3 crew flight deck, but I respect seeing this and I dont know why, I can feel the pleasure and happiness the atmosphere so great!!!, i was born in 737-200… way below all of them in the video… high salute to all of them, hail aviators!!!!
Love it, love it...can't stop playing it and got a smile on my dial as I do so....30 years as QF cabin crew starting on 747-200's and gotta love the FE's...
Best job bar none. Every day is different and every day is the same. I was a F/E for 32 years. 6 on C-130's, 3 on KC-10's, 6 on B707's and 17 on B747's. All great airplanes but the B747 was the absolute best. Our company had older retired passenger airplanes converted into freighters in all that time I only shut down 1 engine. It actually shutdown itself. The tower shaft or accessory drive quit working so no fuel flow. It was such fun traveling the world. I miss it so. I have a disease that has taken most of my hearing so I couldn't do the job even if one was available. I was the luckiest guy in the world.
I watched this video about 15 times now. Absolutely love it! Today this song was on the radio and i started singing along, with this video in my head! Brilliant!
Very clever video...great job matching the lyrics to the visuals. I have watched this video several times and never tire of it. The beat is uplifting and the crew are good sports to play along and are obviously enjoying it. Hope to see more like this in the future.
This video will always bring a smile to my face, now that I fly planes for a living it is a great reminder of how much I love aviation. Rest in peace Matt.
Hello! Its a pleasure to see videos like this one! That is call the best office ever =) I hope one day will fly the 47 like them! Fly safe.. Greetings from Mexico!
Awesome! Usually I'm pretty happy with my barbie jet, but these guys make flying heavy metal look pretty ok! (not counting the snow) I think I'm in love with the three striper at 1:51...
Flight Engineers kick ass! I'm a CFI and would like to work at my dad's company as a FE on the 747-200s. The pilots have 4 checklists then ask what's for dinner, while the FE does everything else!
The best part of flying cargo is the camaraderie of the guys you fly with. Unlike the pax airlines....boxes never complain. It was a secret that is well kept even to today. The best flying there is....
Hey man, no matter who you are, how important you job is, how much responcibility you have,,,,,why not enjoy yourself and those around you. Love the video and nice to know that real people still exist. Just keep the greasy side down guys! " with information Bravo"
Are you guys really that happy? Looks like a great place to work and you get paid to fly.......now I know why your so happy all the time. Keep the vids coming for us ground dwellers. Thanks!
nice video, I went into a 747-200 quite recently, it's at dunsfold (england), it's used in many movies, but thanks to the RAF I managed to get in there for a long time, please see the video response I'm going to post, that involves the plane. (The plane is ex-British Airways though I think it spent the earliest years of it's life as a 747-200F)
Lol, you're a bunch of crazy funny guys! Love this video! Never have seen someone recording the nose gear from INSIDE the plane while taxiing before. Interesting and funny! Do you fly only cargo or sometimes passengers? 5*! + subscribed
It captures the moment and the mood. Aviation lost a great resource when the bean counters engineered them out of the cockpit. Fortunately, all my big airplane experience was with Flight Engineers. They saved my ass more times than I can count. Migrated to bush flying in Kenya. Could have used a guardian angel there too.
Rest in peace, Matt. Sad to see such a gentleman go.
Pilots never die, they climb away and don't come back. You will be sorely missed.
Live from the Flight Deck Pilots fly west. Into the sunset.

As an ex ship's radio officer (merchant navy)....I know how it feels to lose your job to technology and automation. Great video!
This was the best video I've seen in a long time. The tail end of the golden days
I've seen this video so many times, every time this song comes on the radio I play this video in my head. Rest In Peace Matt!
Matt?
A friend of mine was just playing this song. It immediately reminded me of this video that I first watched now nearly 14 years ago. Brought back many memories and put a big smile on my face. Thank you.
Rest in peace Matt, keep on soaring the beautiful skies

RIP Balleka thank you for all the great views over the years.
?? is it true ? what happened ?.. RIP
Ole Pedersen He died in December in a glider crash
Dec 4 North Hill, AAIB still investigating.... you can find finished reports via GOV.UK , usually takes a year....
RIP. Thinking about his previous glider footage a lot of times he flew into some rather dodgy weather.
OMG.. so sorry to know he passed away! Didn't know him in person but he seems such a great guy! Can't belive it

Happily retired from NWA after 37 years, 15 on the whale. I say I don't miss it, sometimes I lie. Thanks for the great video!
I watched this video about 15 times now. Absolutely love it! Today this song was on the radio and i started singing along, with this video in my head! Brilliant!

While I do like the computer, automation and advanced technology in the cockpit. The flight engineer position will never be beaten

When cargo crews decide to have fun...it gets awesome! Thanks for sharing.
As a long time 747 "classic" captain...with FE's... I love this video. Nice job.
You have the coolest videos. Really. I made our teacher show this video in my Air Transportation class--It was a hit.
Very clever video...great job matching the lyrics to the visuals. I have watched this video several times and never tire of it. The beat is uplifting and the crew are good sports to play along and are obviously enjoying it. Hope to see more like this in the future.
Same here. Still to this day I love it and miss walking (squeezing 😂) into the flight deck past the F/E ❤
I never get tired of watching this video. Excellent job!

One of the best aviation videos I have seen so far.! Thank you
from a turbo prop FE, that is a pretty good piece of video right there. Now you just need some low level in there and you will be good to go.
I LOVE IT, AND THANKS 4 POSTING !
Can't get any better than this! 10/10*

Just the song alone makes this video great
Great Video, It catches the spirit of a typical B747 Classic Cargo crew..
Flight Engineers kick ass! I'm a CFI and would like to work at my dad's company as a FE on the 747-200s. The pilots have 4 checklists then ask what's for dinner, while the FE does everything else!

Very cool video. I always thought pilots we're frigid but these guys are cool!
Shame that MK is now out of business due to bad management, cos they had some great crews as you've just witnessed, well done, good video
Not so much about bad management as the real cause of MK going out of business due to the loss of two B-747s both accidents were human errors.
Great vfideo. Thanks :)
Love the backwards snow drop bits :)
Realy an awesome video ! Congratulations !

Really brilliant!! I need to do a trains version of that!
@StratMatt777 ...lol..all the alert lights at once...awesome reaction!
Well done Captain!
Fantastic!
I think the FE at 3.06 was my instructor at Little Rock AFB at C-130 school back in the mid 80"s. Looks close to being his twin.
RIP
