I'm really glad I was randomly recommended this by YT, but seeing how long it's been since your previous video.. hoping not to wait that long again, it's too good to wait that long o:
So glad you came back, I love all the details on your videos, camera positioning, bokeh, the content itself, the editing is good too. Stay here, otherwise we will contact the youtube to change your channel name to waz dont make here.
I'm following the formula that works, no worse than a TV show following a format So no talking to open it up for a more international audience, ASMR for relaxing element that is also a popular style (outside of restorations as well), and showing the story as a beginning (here is the thing, it isn't good because___, now I will disassemble it), middle (here are the steps I took to fix it, and the problems I overcame), then the ending (final assembly, reveal, and testing). My methods and tools will lead to a slightly different approach than if someone else made it, so long as both you and I enjoy these restorations, I will keep making these videos!
G'Day Tom, nice job Mate. My Grandfather had one of these, so it brought back my childhood a bit. He put oil seals and a gasket on his and used dif oil in it - he said he was sick of having to add grease when it'd get noisy (secretly though, I think he just like to tinker with stuff). Stay safe and well :)
Nice resto. I really couldn't picture how you would use this. I kept picturing the cranking hand getting cut off with the sickle (picturing a huge sythe) blade. Then the tool rest didn't help, untill you show the actual blade. :) What a cool sharpening tool.
Thanks I thought it was just a hand cranked bench grinder at first. I did a bit more research and discovered the wheel was that shape for a reason I was surprised at how quick it sharpened too, these would have been useful tools to have
Whow i really liked this video great tools and technics. Your welding is already better then "My Mechanics" ;-) but there is one thing you missed out to stand out of the masses on UA-cam. Make the end product better then before. Dont leave any imperfections. Tread the metal pieces as a piece of jewelry. I know it will be a hell lot more work but you will see the viewers will skyrocket.
I'm not sure if you can get Evaporust where you live, but I would recommend you try to find it. It is amazing at removing/converting rust. I bet you could have saved the original spindle and wouldn't have had to cut it.
That was beautifully done. Many people don't have this attention to detail - don't file parts together, don't chamfer the holes, don't redo threads and so on. Your channel will grow a lot and you deserve it! Hopefully we'll see some sandblasting action in the near future? :)
Ha ha, I can send you a few hours of unedited footage 😝 I wish I did a better job of filming this, I was a bit limited when it came time to edit. I learnt for next time

Glad to see another great video. Please don't wait another 7 months to post another one.
I will try my best! 😅
A lot of things on the go over the next few months
Very nice job there Tom 👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome work restoring the sickle bar grinder, and making a new tool guide. You got it working like a charm, too.
Thank you very much!
Tom, it's definitely time to get a nice and powerful sandblasting cabin.. Nice restoration and result by the way!
Yeah it would help. I have a small one, but it doesn't work very well
Love this restoration!

Some things are worth the wait? 🤔😂
I would love to put out more videos, but life gets in the way!
@@WazMakeHere Hehe yep, that's for sure. And understandable, I take it these projects are also very time consuming. Looking forward to the next one :)

Hopefully it's not such a long break until the next video
It's satisfying to see the mechanism work so smoothly
Yes I was pleased that it worked so well in the end
Thanks for watching
@@WazMakeHere would you say you are making your videos in the style of My Mechanics? Do you know him personally?

I have a small blasting cabinet, but it doesn't work very well. Maybe once I do it up or get a new one
