🔺 Our Mission 🔺
Founded in 1997 in Cedar City Utah, we are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and education.
Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release
The Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah (SWF) cares for more than 100 sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife annually. Restoring them to health and returning them to the wild is our primary goal.
Informing, Educating and Inspiring
The SWF provides over 100 educational programs reaching over 30,000 people annually. We believe providing educational outreach programs to schools, scout groups and community events, with focus on children and families, will make the greatest impact in preserving our wildlife, the environment, our public lands and our resources for future generations to enjoy.
Martin Tyner
Since age twelve, with a bird on his arm, Martin has captivated audiences sharing his knowledge and experience of his wildlife friends.
At age nineteen, Martin was hired as curator of birds of prey at Busch Gardens, CA. He also worked in the movie and television industry training big cats, elephants, primates, sea mammals and raptors.
“One of my greatest childhood fantasies was the desire to create a personal friendship with a wild eagle. I found myself with a love and fascination for these powerful creatures.”
Martin Tyner is a federally licensed falconer, eagle falconer, wildlife rehabilitator, wildlife propagator, and wildlife and environmental educator.
He has been providing wildlife and environmental programs throughout the western United States, to schools, scouts and community groups for over fifty years.
“Grandpa believed in a very simple philosophy; that a person should get up every morning and do good. Doing good means that you do well for others and doing well means that you do good for yourself. There is nothing wrong with doing well, but Grandpa always believed in doing good.”
Martin's book, Healer of Angels, reflects back on his life: from a young boy terrified of birds to becoming the first man in North America licensed to train a wild golden eagle in the ancient art of falconry.
Through a heartwarming collection of true stories he describes his challenging transformation from a shy dyslexic teenager, to the founder and CEO of the Southwest Wildlife Foundation. - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини

I love how quiet y'all are, the subtle cooing of the pigeons, and your dog's heavy breathing. 🤣
Loved the white fluffy pantaloon Striker....a mere week and he's grows Beautiful Falcon feathers.
Thank you for sharing his training process.
Lives his he vibes to you, speaking, for comfort
I was going to go to bed 23.17 UK time. Then I saw striker part 3 had been posted. No doubt I will still be up in half hours time after watching it multiple times. There's always something new to see. Love your videos.
I love how Striker's lil head bobs around. He's such a curious lil guy.
An ambassador who likes Susan! What a lovely little bird, & fascinating process. And those fluffy bloomers! 🤍🤍🥰
What a precious video! Thank you so much for sharing. I love Cody's remarks in the background. He sounds very excited to see that baby!😁 And thank you for showing us how you teach him to hunt
I know, Cody and his pant!
I was just about to log off but saw the new video last minute. Always glad to see your vids pop up :)
Same here ! Sweet Striker! ❤️❤️
My favourite movie when i was 8 or 9 was MY SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN, a story about a boy who befriended a Peregrine falcon. It was typical hokey Disney shmaltz, but i have to this day wanted to learn falconry because of that movie. Thank you for sharing!💋😎💋
He finally grew into his feet, or better said, beginning to grow.😂
Fantastic Peregrine Falcons 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Striker is beautiful ❤
Striker has adopted you as his daddy.
Thanks Martin and Susan for the wonderful video, and I would love to come out to Utah to meet you both sometime.
So awesome to watch Striker’s growing up. I had the pleasure of seeing my first peregrine a couple days ago in a tree right by my house. Looked out the kitchen window and thought omg what is that?! Identification took awhile but when I finally saw peregrine images I was certain of it. Thrilling and an exciting add to my “life list.” Thanks for all you do, Martin and Sue ❤️
Martin and Susan, you are on the incredible job you've done , not only with all birds of prey, but with your own birds. Striker is absolutely adorable.
I have been watching some of your content off and on for a while. I was not attracted to the lack of affection you showed to these animals as you treated them. It took me a bit of time to think of the difference between myself dropping in for 30 minutes and You who does this for 8 hours a day all week. Once I quit judging you and looked at the reality of your job it was evident real quick you are spot on. Now I dropped in 2 weeks ago and heard you call one a name and it really caught my attention. I watch a lot of Animal Videos favoring the Eagle Cams and any of them showing the raising of Babies. I must say I have enjoyed watching you teach us in real time how to care for and integrate into our Families a Wild Bird of Prey in a safe and pleasant way. The total opposite of my first impression of your methods. Note: Those Baby Barn Owles are the nastiest, ugliest, and downright evil birds I have ever seen and you give them equal quality of care as the rest. Good Job Sir.
How sweet is this baby ❤
Soooo cute! Love the fuzz. Beautiful Susan, your voice expresses your joy so well. Striker IS funny at this age.
Oh my gosh!!! Can he be anymore adorable?? Those poofy lil legs when he hops around the yard. So very precious. I know hes a wild animal but you cant help developing a connection i bet. Awwww hes communicating with you as well?? Thank you for sharing these precious moments.
Debi in California 🙋♀️❤⚘
I just love his little mohawk feathers on his head!
He is making great progress and will soon be in the sky. Congrats on your great training system. Beautiful bird
Hi Martin and Susan. It’s nice to see you guys again! Lizeth
These videos from this precious couple are my favorite on all of UA-cam. We love seeing you guys, the work you do and all of your critters.
Striker is a very handsome fellow!
He's growing up but he still has his baby down. How cute. Can't wait for part 4 when he starts flying around.
Cute as hell at that age, even geeky.
What trust is that how the bird is on his chest but doesn’t bite his nose. Amazing.
Thank you both so much for sharing Striker’s training. Looking forward to future episodes
He has grown so much! I remember when you got him. He is so cute wanting to fly but it's still to scary! Once he figures out he really can fly, he will be the Flying Ace he was created to be! They are amazing fast!
I so love these Striker updates!
Thank you for more video about STRIKER
What a flexible neck. Love his snowy fuzzy legs😊
I am so happy I found this channel. I love birds and I love wildlife. Every video of yours makes me feel so very happy. Thank you for protecting these lovely creatures!
I 💙 the hippity hops. What a perfect boy!
It was wonderful to see an update from your channel ! I just ❤️ these videos especially now that your little baby is growing & all his baby down is falling off.. to show what a beautiful handsome fella he really is. Thanks again you two for keeping us subs in the loop ! 👌👍👌👍👌😍
such a beautiful Falcon 🦅🪶
Striker is so cute❤
so cute!!
I hear Morning Doves, besides Cody's heavy panting! Beyond cute, Striker!
He keeps trying to tell you guys, his mom and dad, wants to go home.
I am thinking that exposing Striker to exploring the yard and the prairie is developing his experience and intelligence than if he was stuck in the nest till he fledged.
Awesome video of ❤️Striker, mulling around the yard and practicing pouncing. 😁👍 So glad the heavy dog breathing wasn't apart of the entire video though.. 😑😂
Very majestic
In the course of the video, his feathers changed a lot.
Suggestion, if possible, could your head camera be on the same side as Striker? We only get glimpses of him at the current angle.
👍❤️
He's so sweet! How are you finding the work load now with Striker, Scout, Kate, Helen and Bell? Are all of them still with you? Any update on the progress of the flight chamber?
My goodness those tenacious House Sparrows, need to shut their squawking up!! Their obsessive gossiping against Striker, is just 12 yr old jealousy at it's finest. 🤨😂
Also, I don't like how caps or hoods are used ( for centuries ) on birds of prey are completely blacked- out. They should be slightly screened to remove most light but not all. It's just a courtesy as if I were in same situation I'd want to see a vague silhouette of my surrounding area. Think if we were blindfolded to every location? It's more therapeutic if the hood allowed a little light to keep visional overstimulation low.
Do I see a bonded Falcon??
Would he have already fledged from the nest at this age?
4:00 Leg-ercises 😄 5:42 Cheating 😅
I don't know about anyone else, but I really don't like the split screen
That bird is too soon to be released!
They're training it! It's obviously too young to be on it's own.
