I’m 36. Been married and divorced twice in my late teens and early 20’s. The relationships after those divorces. No one could have possibly known the moments, the actions, the pain that followed those divorces. Then I turn 36 and hear this song for the first time today. It’s like she wrote down and performed all the words my soul has been trying to speak out loud for the past 13 years now. I’ve never cried so hard listening to a song before.
I know people comment “I’m crying” all the time hyperbolically, but I also genuinely cried. The first time I heard this song was yesterday and it made me sob. Now I can’t stop listening to it. This is a powerful piece of work. Cheers to both our tears.
I understand your pain. I'm only 17 but I went through a nasty relationship that was nothing but toxic. Of course it didn't include any of the sexual parts because I'm under age but the girl I dated was the spawn of Satan. This song hit me hard, it hit me where it hurts, I genuinely cried.

But i FINALLY saw who he really was when he called me (the girl he knew was still in love with him) to complain about his new gf (never been in trouble, owns her own home that he's living with her in, driving her car around doing who knows what while shes at work, again doing so much for him) & what a bitch she was because while he was supposed to be staying sober, he had taken $20 out of her wallet & she was a bitch for being mad at him about it. Literally, WHAT? you're actively cheating& stole from her after everything she's done for you & she's the bitch for being mad you stole from her? Thats actually insane. I think every woman he meets is just some girl he bangs on the couch & he has a trail of broken hearted women behind him.
