I mean. Genuinly wot is more realistic with the actual purpose and role of ARTILLERY. But WT has shells that actually do something and can hit air targets wich is also realistic. In a perfect world we would have both :(.
@@nicz7694 nah. Arty in WT shoot with full charges. Most arty with full charge can't be used even in largest WT maps for efficient indirect fire, shell will go too flat. Some even with minimal charge will have same issue. To use arty properly, at least 10km maps needed
@@PyromaN93 Depends on the vehicle lol. A lot of the WW2 artillery vehicles can do that like the SiG, StuH etc. Basically all those high caliber vehicles with heavy shells. And even for modern vehicles, you can do a lot of indirect fire. You just need a vehicle with huge shell arcs. I destroyed plenty of vehicles from over 2KM distance with the Bkan just by having a mate using the Squadron Ping mechanic

Arty in WoT was actually fun before the Great Arty Nerf; it used to be my favorite class of vehicle, but then it became like playing CoD with a beanbag shotgun... That nerf and the game getting exponentially more pay to win was what drove me to quit WoT (still occasionally play Blitz though)... Unfortunately only rockets have unlimited air time in War Thunder, so all cannon artillery vehicles have to be basically direct-fire instead of making comical kills 2 minutes later...
How can p2w drive arty player crazy? Theres only lefh arty that is premium. Idk abt you but im f2p in lesta server and recently they give away so much stuff i got 4- 8 tier premium tanks from event so idk what you talking abt.

Arty got brutally nerfed into the ground many years ago, like, the Xbox One and PS4 weren't even out yet when the first major damage nerf hit, with subsequent nerfs turning it from practical and fun to being hardly good enough to even be called a support gimmick; p2w practices had absolutely nothing to do with it. P2W in WoT was and is a different issue, where something like a premium KV-1 could easily solo the entire enemy team, because the only way to damage it was through ramming (yes, this really happened, and commonly too). The reason I stuck with Blitz and no other versions was specifically because the p2w aspect was much more bearable, though it's progressively getting worse too. I don't know what "lesta server" means, but I've never given Wargaming a dime of my own money. After having played Blitz for so long, over 10 years in fact, I might as well have premium with all of the free stuff I get (premium tanks, premium time, gold, crew slots, etc.), and I can even regularly spend gold on some cheaper things because of how I often I get it. I know better than literally almost everyone just how much free stuff they give away. Though they are technically premium, event vehicles are really just free gold and a new garage slot, because they are complete garbage 90% of the time. I barely play, but I have 34 slots in Blitz from all the events I've logged in during.

Also slow shell mean shooting fast vehicle is hard 3. Due to short range, it can shoot an enemy position where other spg cant do it 4. Also it cannot stun enemy Add on : for the spg Bishop (tier 5) : slow but somehow armored, it have high HP for a spg FV304 (tier 6): fast, agile, but the gun somehow have lower RoF compared to other with same gun. Nerfed in 1.0 by make this spg slightly larger than before. You can use this spg as early scouting if you dare (not reccomended to do it ) Crussader Sp : the tank move faster in reverse than forward, have quite low profile. Have 2 gun, the stock shared with tier 5 and 6, and the top gun (BL 5.5 inch). However the top gun kinda meh compared to other spg. Also the top gun was nerfed since back then it deal damage same as tier 9 conway (both actually have same gun) The reason i play british spg because back then, it was the easiest to finish the campaign (stug iv and t28 htc) and it unable to do current campagin related to stun

Both WT and WoT have ranges too small for arty, but in WoT range is abysmal. In WT arty role is just taken by aviation.
Direct fire yes but WT can be similar to WOT. Just have allies ping targets or squadmates give the ranging and you can do realistic arty
