Nice review, pretty much same thoughts! I did my own playlist (cutting We Pray, Jupiter and One World and adding some b-sides), I think this is a much better listen: 1. Moon Music 2. Feels Like I'm Falling In Love 3. Good Feelings 4. The Karate Kid 5. AETERNA 6. I Am A Mountain (the deluxe edition stripped back version) 7. Man in the Moon 8. Rainbow 9. All My Love 10. Wave
Saw them in a mid-afternoon slot on the Other Stage at Glastonbury in 2000 just before Parachutes was released, little knowing what the future had in store for them. Will always have a soft spot for Parachutes but they went down a path that I was never going to follow them down unfortunately.

I miss the unusual and the uniqueness in the newer albums. Something like 42 or Death and All His Friends. Coloratura was an exception. But also the rocking moments like on Daylight or 42 (the middle part). Only Everyday Life with Trouble In Town gave me that. But yes, it just doesn't fit with Coldplay's new music, but it would be nice anyway
They are lost, what they do has no cohesion, sense or unity. CM loses musical credibility with each new album, making the one immediately before it better.
Hey, the Maya Angelou sample is pitch corrected, but she did actually sing that line during an interview on the Oprah Channel youtube in 2014
Will Champion wouldnt gatekeep a song that Brian Eno is involved with. Jupiter is the way it is because Will hated the dance edm version
