I have subscribed to your podcast because I really enjoy how honest you are. I am 71 years old and a Celtic supporter but I listen to podcasts from all Scottish football sources. You don’t strike me as a bigot and you are a genuine supporter who wants his team to do well and I share that with you. Keep up the good work young man. Your day will come. All the best
Anyone who calls me young man is more than welcome, James. Thank you. Although I can't claim innocence on the bigot front: Last Wednesday I saw a woman in Tobermory who had brown sauce on her fish supper. Sauce! GET HER SORT OUT OF MY COUNTRY!!
😆And lovely to see your comments here, Timothy - much appreciated, sir. Hope you're well. Aye it was a dispiriting watch on Saturday. Yet again we're hoping it's all part of a plan🥶👍
@@DavidCarlton-c5u really appreciate that, David (and Stewart👊💙) - thanks so much for checking it out, my friend - and I just hope we get something genuinely cheerful to pod about in Poland tonight.

Thanks for that, Alasdair - It's much appreciated, especially when there are so many better options for you down there. Makes me feel all exotic to know there are Bears listening in Oz.
Thanks, Kenneth - and i seriously appreciate anyone who managed to listen all the way to the end of that rant: extra pickled onions for all concerned!😁👍
decent enough 0-0 draw for the neutrals to watch. Wasn't holding out much hope we were going to nick it. Hopefully social media's not gone into overdrive about it. Scared to look!
@@iamnoone6363 Same here, mate. I'll be holding off from the doom scrolling til Sunday. We've earned our Saturday night chill zone after 95minutes on a knife edge. It wasn't great but neither was it all bad - as you say, an entertaining enough game.
Brilliant pod as ever mate, think Propper and Balogun have to start against Kiev. I like Souttar but him and Davies were woeful, think we will improve but need signings in pronto. Would love Shankland to play for us, would be a signing that makes things a bit better. I like Cortes but if these issue keep happening then we might need to pull out the deal to buy him, all the talent but we have enough injury issues
Thanks for that, Robert - and I really appreciate you taking the time to watch it, mate. Totally agree on Cortes. We've been so badly burned with injuries of late. I can't take it anymore. Aye, Propper and Balogun - seems like the logical shout but I wouldn't be surprised if he went with Propper and Souttar either. Like you say, the lack of quality signings at this point means he's still patching things up.
@@FatEck1999 Your very welcome mate, your a great guy with a brilliant platform and your top informative banter and genuine football knowledge is second to none. Keep the brilliance coming
@@Scottb554 Good point, Scott - aye, I'm hoping we're getting more bodies in thro the door this week and a few of today's squad back into the starting XI. Worried about Tuesday tho, tbh.
Meant to say, John Bennett went to Knightswood Secondary school, and the opportunity cost of the dough that he has ploughed into Rangers will be eye watering.
@@user-yc7wx4un2h aye, I hate doing the classist thing in the pod but had to point out my own bigotries on that front - ignorant and hypocritical as they are - to contextualise both my own reaction to his statement and what may have clouded/exacerbated the reaction to it from other bluenoses.
I think John Bennett’s biggest caveat this season is the Elite court case on Tuesday, £9.5M claim will scupper any decent signings. Why, oh why would you pick Hummel in the first place. Don’t want to watch Tav on Hampden’s acres.
Watched this "post match reaction" this morning whilst hovering between drunken stupor and a need for cured pig in a bap, or roll as you Caledonians would call it. I had several chuckles, which confirmed to my wife that I was still alive. The last wee yarn about the African in the chippy resonated with me, a couple of weeks ago I went to the Chippy for fish suppers, Clipperstown not Oban, in the queue was a Care Assistant that is looking after my Aunty, I chatted to her briefly and thought to myself that's a nice girl and caring is 24 hours a day with her. 5 minutes on, she is at the head of the queue, and my fondness for her dropped like Rangers form in Springtime. When asked what her order was she said " I've 2 wee orders here" and handed over 2 notes to the girl over the counter who read them out to confirm..boys a dear it was like a culinary version of war and peace. To my shame, I was now wishing bad things to happen to this Carer. This is a chippy not bloody supermarket sweep you're in I muttered mostly under my breath. Every cloud has a silver lining, my 2 fish suppers were perfect, nothing had been sitting under a heat lamp, all the oul craters and Staff in the Nursing Home mopped that up, no mine was fresh, and still hot even when I got home 4 minutes later. So whilst there may be a hurdle, red light, obstruction, it's worth remembering, like you, that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, right that'll do me as hangover hitting hard, 5 o'clock somewhere and I've to deliver a box to some lass called Pandora.
🤣🤣🤣Absolutely brilliant, Finlay. In future I'm just gonnae do a two second pod, telling everyone to keep their eye open for your reply in the comments section. Very proud to have played a small bap in your Sunday morning recovery routine and very relieved to know that it's not just me who goes to a dark place (a place unlit by a HEAT LAMP... thanks for that term - that's the one) when someone starts over-ordering in the chip shop. Hope you kept heading toward the light yesterday and hangover was cured as surely as a few more August signings will cure everyone's general mood.
@@stephendeans5417 I kept checking outside to see if there was a bus parked up, Stephen. Couldnae believe it. None present could. An important point away from Hampden. I think next Saturdays game may be even tougher after a trip out to play Kyev. Can these players react?
