    Separating out the specific parts and tools for each of the seven step assembly process steps was brilliant on the part of the manufacturer. For the price, I am impressed at how sturdy this ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxvObaTzoHoHQLL4lHbJQmExHqsrZQm-f7 unit is and it does go together easily. Well, I was puzzled at first at Step 5 and maybe the instructions should mention that rail #62 needs to be tilted upwards a little to get the rail to fit into the main part #44. I like it that the rower can be stored vertically in a really small amount of space, but be forewarned that this rower is top heavy and for safety you'll need at least two bungee cords to keep the unit upright, attaching them to something; in my case to a third garage door. I have had this unit only a short time, and I will post an update once I've had it for a year. As for working your legs, I have to admit that I'm mainly rowing for upper body strength and I use other forms of exercise for leg strength (like walking fast, biking, or using a trampoline. But if you pull as far forward as possible, then you can give preference to your legs for the first 4 feet or so of travel. I also admit to not taking the two electronic connectors apart at Step 7. I simply inserted the two batteries while the other parts remained connected. By the way, there is plenty of resistance here, even in the lowest resistance settings. Kudos to Sunny Health & Fitness !

    I did this workout for the first time today. It has been added to my favorite rowing work out list, I broke the 2:20 interval for the first time. It’s harder when you are short and can’t get the same length in your stroke. Thank you for all of your great videos, I started at the end of last year on your beginner videos and have been doing intermediate videos since the start of this month. I cannot imagine rowing without you being part of the work out.

    Hey there. I just bought my very first rowing machine to get into shape as I really don't have the time for much workout and to go to the gym. It's not a Concept2 yet but works for me for now (it's an Insportline Ocean for a start, czech-made I believe). Found your videos when looking for info on how to do it properly and I would like to thank you very much for these videos. Would love to have you as a personal trainer if I wasn't in Europe. Keep up the good work, I enjoyed the hell out of your videos. Seeing you enjoying it on these motivates me more than anything else.

    Surprisingly hard workout (in a good way). If you really push for the 30 seconds on, it takes most of the first minute to get your heartrate back down. Then if you're really going for great scores, you're pulling the pressure up for the final 30 seconds of the "rest" so you can fly for the 30 seconds on...

    An interesting workout cause it's fairly independent of endurance and very much about how much power you can put on the machine at a relatively low stroke rate. How does your average split for this workout of 1:35.5 compare to your 2k average split?

  • @timiskaming99

    Great video, I’ve been following along various DH videos for a number of years, and these follow along videos are very useful. Despite racking up nearly 950,000m over the years i still can’t get my split much below 1.48/500m. I don’t row consistently in terms of days of the week, so I figure a lot is practice, but is there a good way to increase the split with drills, the one with the pause at the catch helped a bit. Any other ideas?

At the gym we can't have any device other than our phones so it'd be nice to be able to follow along and listen to the music simultaneously. UA-cam App doesn't let us play a video while also listening to Spotify

      @@ryrythesailorman Although you feel like you are having more rest than you need between the high intensity intervals, you do have to get your heart rate to go down so you can benefit from HIIT. That's why 1:30 rest is optimal. I suggest you measure your HR between these power outbursts so you can see if you're really lowering your heart beat.

    Hello mate! Like the vids, it's good motivation!
    But just one question.... I'm really out of shape (ok, I usually jog etc. but really slowly). I bought my C2 yesterday, and this morning I followed this video.
    You're out of breath and sweating. I haven't broken a sweat (ok, I'm a bit warmer than usual) and according tom y Garmin watch my HR didn't exceed 94.
    My HIIT running (when I could, back in the day before Plantar Fasciitis kicked in - no pun) - I would try to get to 160bph on my 30 second sprints.
    What am I doing wrong?!?! (Thanks)

    • @richardoneill4306
      @richardoneill4306 5 років тому +1

      I geuss that maybe you are focusing more entirely on power when you cut out the fast stroke rate

    • @nate6692
      @nate6692 5 років тому +1

      Yeah - I'm puzzled by this too. My all out interval stroke rate is also closer to 42-45. With the damper set as low as he has it, I just can't get any power on the pull stroke. With the damper cranked, I can get 200lbs+ force or so, but down where he has it I'm lucky to get more than 120lbs.
