Started with Werner back in 91'...stayed a year but back then wasn't much freight in south Texas...good company and equipment....great start...1st truck was a 1988 cabover🤦♂️
I just finished the DG training with my leader, it definitely isn't for everyone but it's not as bad as people make it seem. The most annoying part is backing when people are there, I swear they do the dumbest sh*t while you're backing.
@@usnaron1 Oh I understand it’s just mean where you’re Traveling or heading to. I run north and south of east.Excluding New York thank gosh lol. How’s the dg account working out for you?
@@itslexyloris Oh, gotcha! I usually run all over Texas, North, South, East and West. They also sprinkle in runs to New Mexico here and there but I've yet to get one. The DG account is great, I was going to go OTR but my trainer convinced me to go DG because of the pay difference. Of course it's more physical, but it's worth it pay wise. All the fleet managers are cool as well, they make sure you're getting 1,500 plus miles weekly and if you want home time you'll get it. On average I gross a little over 2,000 a check, it just depends on how many drops and pickups I do (that's usually 6 runs). My truck is in the shop at the moment, but when I get it back I'm going to try to step it up to 7 runs a week. Btw you're really pretty :)

If your dog is still biting it may be allergies. My dog was biting so bad he started bleeding. We took him to the vet and he got a steroid shot for the allergies. Since then he hasn’t had that issue.
I have a cdl with no driving experience with a company. I'm thinking about going to Werner to get some training. Is it true that I'd have to drive for them for a year if I did the training? Thank you
I’m thinking about going to Werner after I finish school. Do you mind giving the name of your trainer ? Are you still paid if you end up having to wait for a trainer ? How often do you make it home for hometime?
That’s great! I think Werner is a good starting company. His name is Cleo. Good question! Yes I got paid for orientation, wait time and training $750/week. Once you complete your 21 day training the pay will stop. You have to do a 32 hr reset every week. So my hometime is normally Friday and Saturday.(because I’m on a dedicated route)I hope that helped. Good luck!!
Anytime! If you do consider DG regional,I think a good idea would be to ask for a trainer with the DG account just so you can get an idea of that account. I forgot to mention Werner do not always pair you with Trainer’s with the same account. Yes she’s 6months. Right lol
Dollar tree and dollar general is where the money is at tho. My trainer made 95k his first year on doller tree. It really depends on how you handle bullshit ya know. Personally I like labor. And to get to drive and unload for 6 hours I'm ok with that. The only thing I heard bad is when the store employees help unload they can be lazy.
I’m sure your trainer slaved for that 95k gross pay. The unload pay is only 170$ a trailer. Please don’t go on those dollar tree/general accounts😂🙅🏽♂️
I have no CDL experience but I was thinking about going for the training classes werner offers. Any tips or advice? I’m thinking of contacting them next week anything I should know or questions I should ask? Should I do my schooling through them or is there a better option?
Hey! Umm a tip Make sure you already have your learners permit.(my cdl school didn’t require it before class started) if you go Werner route See what accounts are in your area.(You don’t wanna be stuck on a contract with Werner but they only offer “DT,DG and FD accounts in your area) What are the penalties if you decide to leave before your contract is up. And what are the penalties if you fail the cdl test more than the attempted requirement. If you go to CDL school if you decide to work with Warner they do tuition reimbursement so you still not paying for nothing in the end.You also have the community college and unemployment route.Thats all I can think about right now. I hope that helped.
There’s other options. Road Master doesn’t allow you to work while taking class there which is dumb. Werner is the worst company to work for. You’re better off going to Knight Transportation.🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I am very happy I found your channel! Another female Trucker, Love it! I have an appointment to speak with the manager at the Werner location in Georgia.
