I followed your instructions step by step, to install the Honda Luggage Rack and PathfinderLed sequential brake light. Half a motorcycle must be disassembled . It has taken me many hours but in the end I have achieved it. I like the new look and I really recommend it. Thank you very much for your great help. Just back from a 8.5K tour of 13 States in 33 days on the road. All my Pathfinder accessory lighting worked flawlessly and kept me safe day and night. Just got the Pathfinder highmount light installed today and it looks sweet! my buddy got the Goldstrike and we both agree that the plasma type leds on the goldstrike look tacky. he wants to get the pathfinder now after checking out mine. The quality is top notch, definitely a+ @cruiseman 2 thumbs up on the video
Cruiseman, if you're just using the rack to mount the third brake light and don't plan on strapping any luggage to it, I think it would look real slick if it was painted body color... just a thought.
Awesome video I just purchased a pathfinder led light and a Goldstrike trunk light for my 2021 honda goldwing. Do I need a special type of wiring harness to plug into my goldwing to make them work. Is it possible I can use pathfinder and goldstrike together on my goldwing. If so how can I do it. Thanks
what pathfinder does not tell you is that it matters which side their plug and play harness goes on. I installed it and when I pushed left bliker the right one on the pathfinder led lit up yet the motorcycle left signal worked. After several trials and tribulations, and help from Tim at Cust service I got it right. So it took me 5 hours to do this job but....the lights look great.
Looks like a quality product, not like some that I've seen that you stick on with tape. The LED quality on this light looks better than the other stick on light. I think they use some "plasma" type LED on the stick on light. This one seems solid!
I have always had a good experience with PathfinderLED products. Good engineering and good support. I am not a fan of ANYTHING that just sticks on with tape.
I enjoyed another video from you today and that was the install of the Revco trailer hitch. This raised a question You showed in both videos (trailer lighting harness, and the Trunk light system} connection to the stock Honda wiring harnesses how would you connect both to the same stock harnesses? Do you just connect in tandum? in other words one pigtail after another?
Did you daisy chain your Pathfinder quick connectors with your Show Chrome Isolator Fuse Box quick connectors ? Nevermind, I saw your reply to another post. I did the same with my Shows Chrome Isolation Fuse Box and my Goldstrike plug-n-play harnesses. Works great., but like you said, not much room lift under seat.

Nice! you may want to use a "pop" filter because you have a really big spike somewhere around 100hz+-. I have to kill my sub woofer while watching this video, I think I noticed it in another one before, I just did not say anything. (it's breath pop)
Damn audio. I struggle with the pops. I finally got a good echo plugin and I have a the foam filter on my mic, but some pops still get past me. I will pay more attention to this in the future.
@@cruisemansgarage Maybe your just a little to close to the mic? Other than that it's perfect. I use a THX system so it catches all the audio available, A normal computer system might not pick it up?

Getting ready to install this on my new 2018 Goldwing this weekend. I see that you put the F4 Customs windshield on your bike. Some negative reviews discussed unfinished edges on the windshield. I'm considering the 20" or the 24". Any recommendations? I'm 6'0".
I bought my 2018 DCT with the honda luggage rack and brake light installed, can I replace it with this one, does it use the same hole through to lid???Any feedback would be helpful.

Can I just replace this light with the one you recommend and connect to existing Honda wiring harness that I also bought when I purchase Trunk mount and LED brake light? I totally agree with you on the lights...I want my 2022 Goldwing DCT to light up like a Christmas tree. ps. shop rate for the dealer to install the trunk mount, light bar and wiring harness was north of about $600 (CDN). Probably should not have told the dealer to just pop the light and rack on when the bike came in. Definitely going to take a hard look at buying your maintenance videos.
Chris, I have a new 2021 GW Tour DCT. I've ordered the Honda Chrome Trunk Rack and the Tailblazer brake modulators you suggested. My question is are the Tailblazers compatible with the Pathfinder Multi-function Brake/Running Light (the new 2021 model). If so, do I leave the Tailblazers installed as instructed rather than running them through the Pathfinder Accessory hub? Hope this makes sense. I'm looking for the taillights and the trunk rack light to modulated when braking. Thanks for being such a valuable resource.
Appologise for an unrelated question, my 2018 DCT GoldWing is 9 months old and my remote key battery is up, I get the warning on the screen so replaced it this morning, is this a typical lifespan of the battery, would it help by deactivating it when not riding, I thank you in advance

I am adding the USB to the trunk and the Honda LED trunk interior light and figured I might as well do this and the spoiler at the same time so I dont have to take it apart again! This will save me having to route and buy 2 harnesses... The Trunk light will be on all the time with the pathfinder harness or it has its own mercury switch inside of it???? I agree, my friend put the Honda light on but its only a brake light. I don't need a $350 luggage rack so I'm looking at Goldstrike and Showchrome lights that mount to the curved lip on the trunk . That way I get the function I want without the cost of the rack. I also can add a rack later (several choices) if I decide I need one. ps Honda should have had one there to begin with.
I think a lot of folks WANT a luggage rack, so adding the light just make sense. This is a MUCH better solution than the Honda light. And, hard to compare this light to a stick-on trunk light. This is the real deal.

Installing the rack with the pathfinder light, do I have to cut some of the rubber mounts on rubber pieces that mount on the luggage rack?

I think I mentioned in the video that the harness with the yellow wire goes on the right side.

I have no idea what the lifespan of the battery is. I have had mine for more than 13 months and it still works.

Make sure you turn it off when you are not using the bike. Otherwise it may be running the battery down.

Do you disconnect the battery before you start plugging things in?
Not if I am connecting to my Show Chrome Isolator, which I usually am.
Can the Honda LED trunk light be run off the pathfinder LED harness? Or does it need the signal from the bike to tell it the lid is open/closed?
It can operate from the Pathfinder LED harness.

The Goldstrike light is nicer to me..
This one looks to be better built. I wonder if the Goldstrike light stays put since it looks like they use double sided tape/adhesive.
