Cold floors lead to icy toes, naturally, and then to these wool felt slippers. But Lasso slippers are a bit different from the rest. They’re made from one piece of wool felt that arrives flat for you to turn into tasty slippers. With just a few minutes, and some colorful laces, the slippers take shape and are ready to wear.
Founder Gaspard Tiné-Berès was studying design in London when he put his education to good use. He DIY-ed some leftover wool felt scraps and sneaker laces into makeshift slippers. His feet felt warmer, but he kept working on his design until, 164 prototypes later, he was finally satisfied.
Gaspard appreciates a minimal approach, so his slippers look streamlined, and are made with minimal tooling and materials, too. Genuine leather soles add more insulation to the already super warm wool, and extra laces let you switch up colors-if you’re ever willing to take them off.

Wool shrinks terribly...I'd think they would. :-(
Felted wool is already shrunken. It should not shrink anymore.
That's true about felted wool, but...my sister bought a pr. Whilst living in Switzerland. They actually shrunk after a rinse in her sink. :-(

True, these are not currently made with leather soles. Why, most likely because many believe non-leather soles to be more eco-friendly. Knowing how synthetics are made I couldn't agree less. So a choice has to be made, go supposedly animal-friendly and use synthetic soles which process damages our environment or use the leftover skins of the animals many eat and make eco-friendly soles. Or use a natural alternative which works both ways, but then what do we do with all those animal skins? The final alternative is the last one with a world ranging change in eating habits though it's the best one. Use a natural alternative and all eat vegetarian. But until then I think it's ridiculous to not use leather because it's supposedly animal friendly. When you harm the environment animals are also affected. Seriously.
But hey, I really like this idea for slippers. Warm and comfy.

It’s $42 Euro for those pieces of crap. Only worth $10 at the most. They make them for like $2 or $1.
if they used real wool and leather it may be worth 50 USD but as they are it is a HUGE ripoff.
by the way, this is a very common one-piece Moccasins style bin around forever so no they did not invent it.
