Some questions: Do you paint all of the curls on one layer? Do you make the colors more along the lines of where the light is or is it something at random? Is there a specific technique/layering process for colors? Thank you for your time. I appreciate this tutorial; as a 4b hair person myself, I'm always looking for techniques that will help me draw my hair better.
Thank you for making this video it has really opened my eyes! As a self-taught person I was really at a stagnant point with curly hair and I couldn't figure out why. Thanks to just seeing you draw I can apply the same techniques and play with it a bit.
My oc's we're originally supposed to be a mixed-race family, but drawing curly hair sucks when you're not a digital artist with special brushes. Drawing curly hair over and over again in every panel of my comic was just too daunting of a task. Even though I'm not a digital artist, I found this really helpful, and I think I might go back to my original idea as I haven't actually started the comic yet. In the world I created, it's considered a punishment to have one's hair cut, so those with tight curls often use braids to show off the length. I need to figure out how to draw braids next, I guess.
I found your channel from the Crimson Hollow devlog! If you could, please post more tutorials😅 I know this might be a lot of work due to you developing a game currently, or if you have a course somewhere, that'll be cool too.
i'm rather surprised this video hasn't gotten more views, i find it to be rather helpful.
I need a graphics tab like yours😭😖❤

Your technique is very interesting 🤔 you use the shadows and light to do the locks of hair. I will try it out! Thank you very much!
How long does it usually take to draw these?
Cool, but lots of questions.
Absolutely beautiful
this was so so so so helpful
thank you a lot ❤

i have a question.. as you are coloring from light to dark.. will it work the opposite way (dark to light)?
I think as long as you have a midtone background, either is fine.
