    Wow this is brilliant. I’ve been playing Mitsuru for a while and she can be a real menace. One of my all-time fave characters. And some people HATE fighting her, which is always a plus. Awesome guide.

    Came here from the discord. Thank you so much for this guide! I'm an absolute beginner at P4AU, but Mitsu is the perfect archetype I enjoy in other fighting games, and I really appreciate how you break her down in terms of the game itself (i.e. what you look for in corner situations, how to understand neutral, etc.) Subbed and liked.

      She’s top 5 to me in terms of how satisfying her combos are

    Thank you for this guide i suck ass at this game but wanted to get back into playing it trying a new character. Watching your guide has helped me understand how to play the Mitsuru properly i'm still taking L's but have noticed some improvement hope to see more P4AU vids

    Really enjoy these guides. It’s a shame the game is all but dead even after rollback but your keeping me in the game tbh. Helping me learn new characters

    You have any tip for my 6B's to not come out as a Droit while pressuring? Or in those situations where I'm and I wanna do for example dash into 5A, I always tend to mess up the input and throw some random droits

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  Рік тому +3

      Well that’s the quirky thing about the design of charge characters. Your normals with Mitsuru are so good **because** the charge properties on a droit prevent you from moving forward and attacking which would make the range TOO good
      So, in neutral if you were holding back, 6B is just pretty much not an option. The buffer window in the game is lenient whereas in other games you could circumvent this hurdle by doing a quarter circle forward then holding forward B but that doesn’t really work here cause you’ll still get the special 😅
      For the 5A’s out of back charge into dashing or forward movement it’s just a matter of being a little bit more deliberate with your inputs. As long as you let go of forward before pressing A, you should be fine. You still might get some when pressing too quickly but it’s about getting the rhythm right and then staying composed mid-fight so you don’t speed yourself up or slow yourself down.
      Hope that helped/made sense!

    I have no idea how to connect those all-out attacks at the end of the combo. After 6B it never registers as a combo on training dummy. What am I doing wrong? Not fast enough?

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  6 місяців тому +1

      Can’t say for sure without seeing you do it but here’s the most likely sticking point:
      You’re probably doing just fine with the timing of all our attack after the 6B
      The timing error with Mitsuru combos is more likely to be in the Bufula chain right before 6B. At certain heights, the rest of the combo tends to drop.
      So tighten up everything before the last 6B and see if that fixes it
      But I am 3 weeks late on this so you probably already figured it out 😅

    Ngl I really wanna give normal Mitsuru another shot given my love of neutral footsies style characters like Zero, Ky kiske, Ghostblade, Spectre and Es just to name a few, I’m just terrified of having to attempt her Tentarafoo mabufudyne link which is so ungodly unforgiving with the timing all over again >,

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  11 місяців тому +1

      DO IT
      I played a little Mitsuru back in the day and it was the first time I played a charge character, way less difficult than I imagined and opened up my fighting game skill threshold odee in the next games I picked up
      The link never gets easy though 🤣

    • @jeiku_balmung_iraisan
      @jeiku_balmung_iraisan 11 місяців тому

      @@JayPhoenix true< least the ice mirrors serve as a much more reliable link so I can at least leave tentarafoo as a long ranged option at best~ though still having a blast with both minazuki and narukami lol maybe I’ll dive back into her combo trials again just for a spell ^^ still love these videos man, you really do a great job with em my guy!

      @JayPhoenix  11 місяців тому

      @@jeiku_balmung_iraisan absolutely! The best combo is the one you drop the least. Some damage is always better than none lol

  • @Brutalcel
    @Brutalcel 6 місяців тому

    She is crazy difficult to play, her charge is confusing and barely works, I don't know how the pros cast the mirror and the piercing sword without the input 😂😅

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  6 місяців тому +1

      It’s intimidating for sure but only because it’s *different*
      Once you practice it, it becomes as natural as a the regular special inputs. Even better sometimes imo because for certain combos you build up the charge by doing the normal attacks making it easier once you’re comfortable

    Is it too late to get into this game and learn from these guides. Great vids but I don't have many to play against 💀

    • @JayPhoenix
      @JayPhoenix  Рік тому +2

      Absolutely not too late! The Persona Fight Club discord has tons of players who are fairly new as well
      You won’t get the full experience with a populated rank system and what not but you if you have fun just engaging with other players and being able to explore the characters while keeping a positive attitude towards inevitable losing then there’s lots of fun to be had with the game still.
