    I think is the most versatile bag I've ever own, plenty of room inside, suitable to go anywhere without being worried if your goods will fit in there or not, also if you are traveling with your wife or family with it there is no need to carry another bag for sure! Happy to have one of those by the Mr Dale!!! Saludos hermano!

    What a beautiful bag. I have some of Dale’s kilties so I know he gets his hands on some amazing leather, but that bag is next level. As for your sidebar on marketing and your “why”, I absolutely get where that passion comes from. My New Year’s resolution is to start leather working because of the passion I’ve build over the years following content like this. I don’t expect it to become more than a hobby, but doing something you truly love only builds a better product.

    Very nice. I was going to purchase some of his natural veg tan insoles but $53 shipping to Oz makes it too prohibitive. It more than doubles the price of the insole itself. Yet shipping for a backpack by itself is only $11 more at $64 which is reasonable considering the size and weight. Do you have any ideas Tek where I may be able to source some insoles locally?

    • @Bootlosophy
      @Bootlosophy  8 місяців тому +1

      I’m afraid not, but it may be worth asking your cobbler. My cobbler, who also makes orthopaedic shoes, will cut a made to measure veg tan insole for me, but it’s not very thick, maybe 1.0 to 1.5 mm.

    • @SomeoneWhosNearby
      @SomeoneWhosNearby 8 місяців тому

      @Bootlosophy ok, that's a good idea Tek I'll have a chat to my local cobbler and see if they can help. Cheers mate

    Just... Wow. The backpack looks amazing. I love these leather backpacks. However, I always keep wondering how comfortable they are compared to the more 'traditional' backpacks with padded shoulderstraps, especially with some weight in it. What is your experience?

    • @Bootlosophy
      @Bootlosophy  8 місяців тому +1

      I think if the straps are wide enough, it’s not an issue. A lot of heritage backpacks (what’s more “traditional” than heritage?) use leather straps for their durability and comfort. Leather softens and moulds to shape with use. Like boots, they get more and more comfortable.

    • @cheapknight1293
      @cheapknight1293 8 місяців тому

      @@Bootlosophy Haha the usage of the term "traditional" was based on the idea that traditional is what we use now whilst "heritage" is further from the past that are not contemporary tradition, but terminology is always vague as long ss we don't define it ourselves haha. you make an interesting point regarding the shoulderstraps, you will have to show it after you have broken it in 😉. I am pretty sure that pack will look amazing with some use... Anyway, enjoy your festivities and keep up the good work. Cheers.

      @@cheapknight1293 LOL, I didn’t mean to be rude. I knew what you meant by traditional and didn’t mean to be pedantic.

      @@Bootlosophy Hahaa sorry, I know you didn't mean to be rude! I just thought the different possible meanings were interesting, especially as I think that 'heritage' is an interesting term in boots (and fashion as a whole). Sorry if I gave you the impression that I thought you were rude, definetely not my intention 🤭. That probably means my comment was rude in itself haha

    • @alui5362
      @alui5362 8 місяців тому +1

      it also helps where they are chrome tanned - the leather is much softer than vegetable tanned. vegetable tanned will probably soften over time, but it'll be much longer than, say, boots, because it's not like you get as much pressure on the straps as you would your shoes on boots. so something like chromexcel is actually pretty pretty nice.
      definitely comfort wise you're not going to get the ergonomics for load bearing like say your hiking backpacks, but the aesthetic and feel-good is tonnes better than some cheap (but no doubt hard lasting) hi-tech backpack material that just wears out (rather than wears in).

    I think that the algorithm has misread your audience Teik, the Temu ad linked to your video is offering leather style bags for $1.78! I'm pretty sure that ad will be ignored by everyone watching this video...
