The 1908 movie "The Assassination of the duke of Guise" was one of the first films to have a music score composed specifically for it and the composer was the famous Camille Saint Saens.

Religion is a smokescreen for grabbing power. The 1% elites have always been atheist, including the clergy. Only the poor masses think these wars were about religion.
The French wars of Religion are so darn interesting! From the characters Catharine de Medici, Jeanne of Navarre, Henry's III, IV, and de Guise, Margaret of Valois, Francis of Anjou. Tp the events the day of the brocades, St Bartholomews day massacre, the assassination of the de Guise, and finally the Edict of Nantes. You could seriously make a whole Game of Thrones-style drama on this!
