I swear I shed tears sometimes because no artist, including Datsik & Excision themselves, care a damn to bring this dubstep back. All we can do is miss their old dirty, filthy beats.
i am replying after 7 years but i gotta agree with u, im only 13 but i can see how some ppl get so nostalgic over this stuff because im starting to like this old stuff more than the new shit being put out today which is like an atom compared to this
8 years later, we’ve now combined this with drum and bass 😂😂😂 but you know the sounds are starting to come back more from mainstream artists like space laces and such! Not like this tho
I love how this is a complete break out of the norm of music our society listens to. This totally is the greatest thing ever. I don't any other way to say it.
+Sie Ehm Be I understand where u comin from but it's just that Americans made up the term EDM that includes stuff like trap Dubstep and house so it's kinda like making another abbreviation saying that rap and jazz are in the same category
rap is suppose to be a acapella art form of poetry used in the form of telling a story, mainstream shit is crap not rap, I don't listen to jazz, from what I heard of it, it sounds like a form of instrumental music to express ones emotion and feelings implemented into a rhythmic mellow smooth tone. the term edm came from House music which was made for clubs. it was electronic music that made people want to dance, and that's where people made it into electronical dance music.
2024 still jam this. My best buddy and i listened to this so much, still after he passed, i play this loud for him. Jeff met Maux Maux in mt clemens, an awesome night to chill with him and Emily, thank you for an awesome time dude, Maux Maux and i have so many memories to your music. Even motivated and inspired learning the wobs.
You could argue that this isn't really music so much as elaborate series of noises, but you can also make that argument of traditional music from any tribal culture. It's like this music is tapping into that same primal spirit as the first musicians; replacing rattles, rhythmic drumbeats, and primitive woodwinds with electronic noise... Which is just badass, really.
The best experience I've ever had was with this song like a year and a half ago. Was playing Fallout 4 with a bunch of mods, was going for realism, and was at Concord where you meet the raiders in front of the museum. It was night time, I could barely see and I ran to the red truck. I was shooting raiders to this song and it was nearing the end. Then the ending happens where the guy goes, "tck tck tck tck boom!" and the car blew up and the song ended. I at first jumped because it scared the shit out of me, then started laughing because that was the best timing that's ever happened. It was perfect. Now every time I listen to this song it brings back memories from a few years ago and that Fallout 4 experience. Ah this song never gets old.
Well that's what i got from it, it may have been the instruments' sounds and the speed the notes were playing that made me think middle east compared to far east
On a clear night out in the field by his house, my friend broke out "deemsters" unbeknownst to me when I thought we were going to do the usual tokin of some buds. Layered the top of the bowl with it about a .3, and told me to rip it as hard as I could and then hold it 'til I felt the drop. Never having done something like that before, fresh outta high school and not knowing what to expect, I ripped it harder than ever....when I felt the drop...he started playing this song on his phone...when a few seconds later was sure I had died and come to terms with it and began to see reality dissipate, I heard the tik tik tik tik...BOOM! ...and broke through...my favorite memory of my first experience with this song.
Jack Murray It started as something a couple of kids did in the early 2000's late 90's in south london. They didn't know what they were doing it, they just creating beats and playing them in clubs. You may know them as Skream and Benga, but I'm sure others were involved. That became a movement which grew popular underground in the UK. When the Americans got hold of it in the mid 2000's it got heavier and lost the original chilled wobble vibes.
Try skream and benga those are the real starters of Dubstep sounds wayyyyy different I like every form of Dubstep but that Dubstep is real shit bro check it out
WOW does this bring some nostalgic memories. I remember listening to this with crappy earbuds in school on my iPod touch. Some people even used this song for their intros. It was like 2012
How could anyone not like this song. To everyone who disliked this: go spark up and come back and watch this and then tell me this songs not the biggest trip of an epic song youve ever heard
Honestly Excision was in the line up for Global Dance and i wasn't too stoked he was headlining... then i heard his set and holy hell he is a monnssttaa live.
i did a little stalking and it looks like swagcaptain1 likes to listen to sad songs and sob about a breakup, then goes and slams other peoples music, then watches hair styling videos and asks for peoples numbers?. swagcaptain1, you deserve the utmost respect and should be crowned king of all that is right and just in the modern world. thank you swagcaptain1 for showing me the true way of life and how i should go about my time on UA-cam because your way is the manliest.
I've been listening to some shit called "dark minimal dubstep/tech". I was looking for these old ass excision songs and stumbled onto that lil subgenre. pretty sick
This song will always have a special place in my heart. I'm going to miss the late 2000's and early 2010's sound of dubstep
