I absolutely adore DD2! Currently also hold all the WR Speedruns for the Stock car categories across PAL & NTSC on Playstation hardware and emulation at the moment. Great review
Chalk Canyon is awesome, i used to do exactly the same thing with blocking the track to cause a pileup there! The death bowl can be fairly easily won by driving straight across the front of the pit and not getting hit, half the cars just instantly fly in there.
I'd like to get some hints on how to score around 200 points liberty city and ultimate destruction speed way without sitting on the track trying to wreck someone wished there was a way.
Destruction derby 2 brought us into the next era of racing games with it's realistic physics. Imo, the first flat out game was a spiritual sequel to destruction derby 2, then it kinda lived on through Driver Parallel Lines in the race track races.
After I dive into Destruction Derby Raw I'm going to have to tackle Flat out. It's been mentioned a lot in regards to Destruction Derby but I've never played it.
@@flizzzipper the first flat out game is a gem. Then they go down hill with every sequel. Only the first Flat out is a kin to destruction derby 2. The sequels are a kin to the burn out series.
Multiple people have brought up Flatout in my Destruction Derby reviews. I'm going to have to play it at some point. I guess I need to get a PS2 first, lol.
I also have many fond memories of games from demo discs. Back when we didn't have a ton of games instantly at our disposal. Never played Team Buddies but it looks fun.
"with a guitar based heavy metal soundtrack that I wouldn't say is necessarily great"
BLASPHEMER
I mean, it's okay 😄 But the track that always comes to mind is the weird menu screen music.
I agree the soundtrack was fantastic I still use some of OST for my gym workout, loved it upon release still love it now.

That's awesome, I'm watching your one of your DD2 WR videos right now.
@@flizzzipper And now I have the time trial world records >:D
I disliked the video after you said the soundtrack "wasn't great"

Yeah it is, I knew I couldn't be the only one to just pile up cars on Chalk Canyon.
That soundtrack man JUG rule!
Love this keep it up it will catch on
Loved the first one, but for some reason never played this. Must rectify that 😊👍
Second one is far better

I feel like that on every track in Wrecking Racing in DD2.
I'd love to see the Flatout series at some point!
PS2?? Maybe one day, haha.
Depite the sometimes wonky physics, I loved Flatout! Underrated IMO.

This was so hard. I have a huge soft spot for the first DD, but I actually found FlatOut perfected this formula.

Nice. Childhood memories. I remember playing the demo on the demo disc. I also remember having a blast playing the demo 'Team Buddies' !

Why do you review this game as if it just came out 😅
Why not ?
