I was very invested in the mouse drama. 😆So glad you posted the update about the mama mouse relocating her babies. We watch your progress every Sunday! So proud of you guys. We can't wait to come visit. ❤️
I’m almost wondering if dealing with the long cold winters of Alaska wouldn’t be better than all the bugs lol. Outside of mosquitoes we don’t need to worry about anything else, well maybe a bear Or moose
give Brewers yeast to the dogs in their food. We have been doing it for years and not had a problem with ticks or flea's. You can get it tablets or power and it depends on their weight as to how much you give them. Also worm wood and walnut is great for getting rid of worms for the dogs. Again we have been using it for years and every year we get a clean bill of health from the vet, no heart worms. Just f few drops in their food. Still loving the series!
Might be good for the kids too🤔😬😂enjoying ur channel the pullies sucked me in As an experienced machine operator caint believe what u guys are achieving with Ricky 👍ur determination is amazing would like to get a track machine in there for a day or two.my main concern would be getting truck access up to ur new house it’s hard to judge on camera but some os those switch backs may put off a lot of truck deliveries but I am Shute u will sort it all out👍👌😎
It's happening! The shed looks great. Glad you took time to visit your mother, always important for her and the kids. Would like to join and help you sometime this summer.
Thanks, Don! We are road warriors and try to visit the family at the beach often. Although we always make the joke that we don't want to leave our property because we will miss it - haha. Meg tells me, on a daily basis, how much she loves it here. Visit?! Yes! Your UA-cam stardom is waiting my friend.
Watching you using the hoe to grab the chain to drag that log uphill made me laugh-I've been doing the exact same thing with a big old '67 Ford diesel backhoe and will try nearly ANYTHING to avoid having to get off and on again for the umpteenth time. At age 70 it just isn't quite as easy as it was even 5 years ago...
Hi Cody! Couldn't find my 2 inch ball. My tools are all over the place living like this. Can't wait to get them all organized when the shed is done. I'd really like a hitch on the trailer for the 3 point system so I can properly tow something.
As to feeling bad about cutting down trees, here's the thing for you two to keep in mind. You are now the stewards of that land. You have seen first hand what happens if the forest is left unmanaged. It is up to you to decide how you want to manage that forest. Removal of older trees is part of managing any forest. All the dead stand should be removed period to allow for a replacement tree to grow in its place. YOU have the ability now to groom that land to what ever it is that you want it to yeild for YOUR use. Just think about replacing all the less desirable trees with species that you actually want on your property. Up to you now.
Baby mice? I’m all for nature, but those mice will become or will likely became infested after you built your house. 😂 You’ll be trapping them. We had the clear traps and the door let them go in to the bait, but they couldn’t go out. I would then take them out to a nearby field and released them away from the house. I may have fed the hawks or local cats. 😂
The mouse relocation was sweet. Fire pit is a wonderful creation! Will you return the damaged roofing material? I like the music you have in the background of this entire episode.
Thanks Geraldine! We love that fire pit. It's perfect when the temperature dips in the evenings/nights. We did order an extra one just for the small amount on the cupola, which you'll see on the next episode. Hope you are doing well at the beach!
@@WalnutsandWineberries Left the beach 2016. Really miss it. 85 is too rough to travel back and forth 3 times a year! Just starting to get used to PA 100%.
Keep up the good work you two. I found your channel because of the RK tractor video. I am sticking around to catch the progress. Keep it up and your channel will grow.
When moving your trailer with the forks on the RK, put a ball in the hole in the end of one of the forks.

Thanks, Sara! That was one brave Mama.
Spreading sulphur will get rid of ticks and fleas.
Looks excellent great job guys
You guys are doing great job
Guinea fowl are: tick destroyers , excellent alarm system, require no maintenance.
I just watched this...Probably, by now, someone told you the hole in the fork can hold a ball for attaching to trailer hitches.
I love what you are doing
Thanks Sid! Lots to come. This shed is practice for the house build. Learning a lot. Thanks for watching!

Enjoy your channel!
Thanks Bubba! Lots to come.
I have a Titan fork lift it has a 2” receiver built into it to put a trailer hitch in
Mine has that too. Recently picked up an extra ball. I feel like the angle on those forks should be more acute? Do you like yours?

I got to add, rk has to hire john to be their official tractor stress tester lol love watching the rk 24 put to the test!
Sounds like a dream job! Lol
Bears love blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, and all the fruit trees. So I would keep them away from where the girls play.
Mice cause all sorts of problems with machinery, from clogging up intakes, overheating issues, chewed up wires and corrosion from the urine.
Best defense is rat snakes
Looking good. The hole on each end of your pallet forks should take the ball for your trailer hitch.

Nice perspective, John!
Here in Australia in the State of New South Wales..[NSW] our farmers on the land have just recently had a mouse plague, by the millions....

Thank you, Chris! Stick around. We have a ton of work to do and you'll see the RK often. Love that tractor.
Spread lime in your yard it will help
Thanks for the idea Courtney. We'll research that option.
Dusting sulfur works well too. You can sprinkle it on your shoes and boots, for walking into the pasture. Its not harmful.
I hope you put plastic under that crush rock at the fire pit or you will have weeds pop through. It looks real good great work guys.
