I felt the same opinion as many others here. You totally sold me with that intro riff! That is one of my favourite IO riffs of all time. I don't think it sounds like anything from John, it may comprise of similar structure but it's totally different. Youthful, energetic and hopeful. And importantly, earthy, like the best IO tunes. That solo as well, very very meaningful. Thanks for sharing the thought process.
that riff dude ... is when, in my humble thoughts/opinion, you officially took over the job. Behne do is my favorite track from Tandanu and the riff is a big reason for that bias. Great video !!!
Great initiative sir.. Always wondered how those great solos came to your mind.Hope we would be able to know stories behind your other songs too... PS: Man kasturi re is one of our favorites to jaam on. Can it be in your next episode 😅
I would like to know the story behind the "Bandeh" song. The live version of this song is much more intriguing. I am really a huge fan of the live version of this song. Inspires me as well.
Great video, Nikhil Sir! Behne Do is one amazing Indian Ocean song that I think is in good company with Going to ITO for featuring three different time signatures in the same song (or are there more such songs?). The riff that Amit Sir came up with, was it originally conceived in 9/4 or was it later tweaked to fit into a 9?
@@dnikhilrao Thanks. Will surely do. Btw, it was a pleasure meeting you at NH7 Weekender (day 2 Bacardi Arena). Not sure if you'll remember me but I was discussing about guitar hangs, kodaline performance, etc. with you.

Thank you for those kind words, we love playing this song live and almost every time we do, it is dedicated to our youth :)
Amazing Song !!! One of fav, I wish i'll be able to play it someday.

I'm starting off the series with songs where I was part of the composition but yes, we will revisit some of the classics for sure.
Yup, especially the drum part after intro finished by rahul sir, it literally blew my mind every time
@@dnikhilrao Sir thank you. Looking forward to it.

Made my day
Please start posting guitar tutorials primarily focussed on writing and playing guitar solos
Nice!
Sir, that was inspiring!
Hi Nikhil, Absolutely love this concept. Thank you so much for this ! One question - is the guitar tuned to standard EADGBE?
It isn't! All strings tuned a whole step down. Should have mentioned that in the first video itself.
@@dnikhilrao thank you :)

Amit came up with the main riff in 4 first, and then the version in 9 as well!
Thank you so much for the insight Nikhil. Behney Do is my favourite song from Tandanu. Will attempt to cover this solo in the next few days. 😊
Good luck, tag me and the band if you ever post it online!

As Amit said, "The pikku song" 😂
