Just noticed something: The town came and helped them rebuild their house basically returning the favor for the Madrigals helping them for so many years despite them not having powers which is so wholesome.

I like how Bruno doesn't feel as socially awkward around Mirabel as he is with everyone else.
Socially awkward people tend find one or two people they feel comfortable with and where they can act as themselves and (suprisingly often) seem normal, this is why I love Bruno as a character, he is perfectly shows a socially awkward person.

In fact the whole village/town, the whole area where the village/town is set comes back to life when her door knob is put in place and the magic is restarted.
The entire house is her door, because like Alma (that also does not have a gift), her destiny is to be the matriarch of the family. This is her gift, to keep the family together and help them to put their gifts in good use for the community
And what's up with her Glasses when she Plugged that door knob in it sparked for some reason I mean possibly the magic reflection but I'm a Theory guy so coincidence think Not
@@NecroLord0311 that's an amazing pick up. I'm not sure if her glasses are actually reacting or if it's simply that the lenses and the metal rims are reflecting the sparkles from the door as it lights up.
For the moment I think it's more a reflection, but it would also makes sense what you're suggesting, as she does seem to be the one in the family who can see and understand things the rest of the family doesn't.
Really hoping they make either a sequel or a series and sequels that go into more detail of all the different characters more, as well as the people in the village as a whole.
Her gift was the miracle itself that helped her family flourished. She had a gift all along but that kind of gift wasn’t shown because it wasn’t a tangible gift like the others. Her power is literally the love for her family and her being able to unite everyone as a family to help them grow.

The miracle had to be passed down to someone as the Triplets had to live in the casita to use their powers, but the power couldn’t be used by someone who has powers already
The creators literally said Casita didn't give her a gift, though. She doesn't have a gift. Her lack of a gift is what helps bring the family together in the end.

I thought only I noticed that. I love that she finally is free to feel her emotions without constantly worrying about how it will affect others. He’s just there supporting her and loving it. Such a nice moment
Not only that, Felix shouts "QUE HERMOSA" to her as she dances, it translates as "HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE" bc he is finally seeing his force of nature of a wife embrace all the beauty and raw energy he sees in her ♥ ♥ ♥

Anyone notice that when Casita brought the Madrigals in, everyone was smiling except Bruno, who looked confused and slightly worried? Cause casita doesn't work in his room or the walls, so he's not used to interacting with her.
I don't know if that is valid. Bruno is around 35 years old and he disappeared for 10 years (although inside the house). That means that he grew up with Casita the first 25 years of his life. He knows how to interact with her/it.

@@johnypanta6208 Bruno is 50. At the beginning of the film, Abuela said at Antonio's ceremony that 50 years ago, the candle blessed them with a miracle. That was when the triplets (Julieta, Pepa and Bruno) were newborns.
Actually, if you pause between 0:49 and 0:50, Bruno was smiling before the ground started moving beneath his feet. It's not Casita that makes him nervous, it's the ground moving that freaks him out! XD

I like to think the madrigal weren't expecting Casita with magic again if mirabel put the doorknob in, they were just expecting a nice peaceful life with no gifts, just love! That's just what I think-

She doesn't hold the candle. She IS the candle. She holds abuela's hand, meaning she is her successor and also she's here to share her pain and her burden. The other hand is hidden behind her back, perhaps because Mirabel has no successor... yet.

I really love how the ending shot of the film was an imperfect, slightly blurred photo of the madrigal family! A perfect symbolism of how alma has finally given the family members their own voices and choices, abandoning her goal of everything being picture perfect.

La familia Madriga-AAAA!
I’d like to think from this moment on they all agree that the word “perfect” is outlawed in the family. The town can say it all they want but each member of the Madrigal family would probably be glad never to use the word again since it’s caused nothing but trouble.
Mirabela is the succesor of abuela. Thats why she didnt get a gift in the first place. When the house got magical again the window greeted Maribela en she waved back. Just like how it went when abuela was young and the windows waved at her. Indicating she will be the new "abuela" . Also Bruno saw his vision on the same night mirabela didnt get a gift: Mirabela destroying their home but also fixing it. Meaning Mirabela not getting a gift would concern abuela so much fearing to lose the miracle she would try to make everything perfect forgetting the real purpose of the miracle and destroying her home herself without knowing. She needed Mirabela to remind her of the purpose so the miracle could restore.
I also think it needed to tear down the old and rebuild it with the new kind of wash away the bad and rebuild it with the love that was there and then make a point of new foundations well everyone help to build those foundations so it’s going to be really strong the idea of unity in the family weather and not just relying on the magic which as you can see can be taken away

@@rubyskylorrose The miracle happened in the village and blessed the entire Madrigal family out of Abuelo Pedro Madrigal's sacrifice. Abuela Alma being stone could yet strong as a mountain throughout will kind of lead to the family losing their way, so technically Mirabel is the way for that not to happen and to rebuild the family in the prospect of complete love and free from the tragic pain Abuela endured.
The mountains were embroidered on Abuela's dress while Mirabel had butterflies. Dos Oruguitas means two caterpillars signifying Pedro and Alma obviously. The song said the lines of one butterfly having to make the sacrifice so that the other could live and be free. Therefore, the rebuilding of the Madrigals through Mirabel was the fulfillment of that and it is something Pedro would have wanted, that's why he sacrificed himself for Alma and technically his descendants.

I've noticed that when casita was first built, her magic only spread on the house and maybe that's the reason why Casita only work inside but when Mirabel put the doorknob, the magic spread throughout the community and was able to help mirabel and the other to come inside. Maybe with the help of mirabel, casita's magic became more stronger.
That’s not exactly right. True, Casita’s magic was only within the walls, but the encanto spread over the entire town. When Alma first got the candle, the “soldiers” were repelled and the mountains formed a barrier. Essentially, everyone in the town was safe, secluded from the outside. Once the candle went out and the encanto faded, the mountains parted ways creating the rift. When the encanto was regained, it spread beyond Casita again because its purpose wasn’t just a magical house but also protecting the entire area.
I kinda hope there will be an Encanto 2 that explores Bruno’s emotional state and how the village interacts with him now that his gift has returned, because I feel like during the time he didn’t have his gift, he was genuinely happy to be considered normal. Now that his gift has returned, I’m worried he might slowly start to distance himself again since they’ll still be somewhat weary of his gift.
Or bruno getting married and having kids and getting their gift with unexpected happenings of course.

orrr maybe about dolores and her gift? idk she sometimes looks kinda sad before the casita got crushed due to her sensitivity probably thats why shes more quiet than the others and in all of you she looks more happier in my opinion and louder obviously
Actually, Disney's CEO called Encanto a "new franchise" which means not only is it getting a series, there's a possibility of it also having a sequel or more! Kinda like what happened with the Frozen franchise, I do hope it turns out great
I think my most favorite thing is how HAPPY Isabella is! her expressions DRASTICALLY change after “what else can I do?”. Her eyes are brighter, she’s not restricted anymore, no longer feels the need to be perfect and her smile is genuine and wide. As someone who grew up with such a strong expectation of needing to be perfect- I relate to her so much and I kept help but grin when I see her thrive.
And she doesn’t try to make her voice soft and demure or her face schooled and innocent looking. She is free to be as loud and as expressive as she wants
This is one of my favorite animated movies of all time, I swear. No villain, no agenda, just a family working through trauma to come together and love each other, and even beyond that, the community they served coming together to help them back in the end. So much love in this movie 💕
One of the original concepts had the House's tiles and walls change color around Mirabel according to her emotional state!!!Well, since Mirabel owns the magic of the house now, I hope we see that concept in Encanto 2 !!!! 😁

The house didn't change for Mirabel, it changed for Alma!
The ending is like a redemption or a 2nd chance situation.
Mirabel has nightmares from 10 years before when what as supposed to be her door just up an disappeared in front of everyone in the town and her family. A moment that was special for everyone else in the family except her.
Now she got to have her moment, With everyone in the town and her family watching. This time the magic didn't fade away, it grew brighter than everyone else's (I'm Guessing).

This just kinda proves that Mirabel is meant to be Alma's successors.
Prior to Mirabel taking over as the protector of the family, Casita's powers were limited to the interior of the house. After Mirabel took over, when she put her doorknob on the front door, Casita's power grew further. Instead of effecting just the house, her power effected the whole town. I feel like that shows that it isn't just a power for the Madrigals anymore. As the entire community came together as one, they are essentially one massive family now.
I really love the ending to this fantastic musical film. I love that each Madrigal member are using their gift to do whatever they want now: Isabella's using her floral but now nature powers to make exotic surprises, Lusia is taking it easy with her super strength and Pepa is enjoying herself and knows how to control her emotions with her gift
Bruno uses his future vision to see whatever future he wants now
1:08 - 1:18 that sequence is so heart touching.. she’s productive and chilling at the same.. just like she wanted.. 😍❤️🤩🔥👏🏻

Something I just noticed today that I had not after watching this at least a dozen times: both Felix and Augustin are included on the new magical front door.
It's remarkable, as they are truly part of the family but are not blood relatives; they were always ostracized (albeit in a different way) just like Mirabel was.
Disney’s ability to put so much charm and personality into an inanimate object never ceases to amaze me.
I know, me too. The writers, animators, voice actors, and everyone involved made me fall in love with Mirabel and care a lot about most of the characters as if they're real. I _want_ them to be real.
i love how in the end Pepa learns that she doesn't need to hide her emotions and instead of trying to do something with the cloud, she's dancing in the rain. definitely one of my favourite characters.

This scene proved Mirabel is indeed the gift because the magic didn't return until SHE put her doorknob in and got her door- the front door of Casita!

My theory is that owning the house was always her gift. Unfortunately, her grandmother wouldn't understand this so Mirabel earn her gift. She didn't get any superpowers but she got the house. In a way, she got her grandmother's gift, but she didn't need a candle.

I like how Pepa and Felix were dancing under the cloud and going wild even though it didn't look like anyone else was dancing and Abuela is just like yes that's my crazy weather baby. Go girl
I always had a theory that the candle is possessed by Pedro and the Casita is his heart. Like the saying "home is where the heart is" everyone's room was a special place in his heart and the reason Mirabel's door disappeared is because alma wanted a miracle, and Mirabel was everything a candle and a home would represent, light, life, and love. The vision of the house being cracked represented Pedro's heart breaking when Mirabel his miracle was hurting because of her abuela''s criticism. But by the family reuniting and happy, the house (his heart) was finally healed.
That is a really good theory. I like it.
Home is where the haunt is...
Love how the family members who has anxiety and pressured finally let go of their emotions and being relaxed and themselves. Luisa finally rest, Isabella finally be herself, Pepa embraces her cloud, Dolores finally can be with her dream guy, while Camillo, Mirable Anthonio, Julietta, Alma, Felix and Augustine finally see their family happy. It's a wholesome ending

I love how the family pic is blurry and not perfect at all! Coming from a big family this is typically how group photos go…. so relatable! No picture is perfect neither is no family and that’s the beauty of this movie ❤️❤️❤️

It's so sweet to see both Pepa and Isa embracing their gifts fully, now that they know they don't need to be perfect. Everyone talk about Isa's obligation to be perfect, but what about Pepa? Her family, except Felix, expects her to be calm all the time so the Encanto can enjoy a sunny day. I think Isa and her aunt have a lot in common and that's why they seem to be quite close.
I love how Pepa is finally able to dance under a cloud while her beloved Felix cheers her on. They are couples goals, same as Augustine and Julieta.

I love how the ending family photo is imperfect, with everyone moving around instead of being in a fixed pose. Despite that, everyone looks happier than ever, highlighting the movie's message of how authenticity is always deeper than perfection.

Bruno telling pepa "it looks like rain" shows here how he tried to help her. We see how she's affecting the weather while she's happy so Bruno expected some kind of weather change on the happiest day of her life and tried to tell her its fine

It kinda makes sense that Mirabel's gift is not helping the community but helping her families. Just like Abuela keeping the families together. Since Abuela is old, Mirabel will replace her soon.

I think at the end to see that Abuela learned that they was more important than the gift, Luisa relax afters all the time she worked, Isabela happy to be herself, Mirabel the miracle, Antonio never anbandonned Mirabel. I love this movie so much!

I'm noticing something interesting. All the blood relative family members represent a classic family stereotype.
Pepa is the aunt that can ruin a day when she's in a bad mood.
Julieata is the mom who's cooking can always make you feel better after a bad or hard day
Bruno is the one uncle nobody likes to talk about(I got one named Uncle Jack. Let's just say, when there's a problem and Uncle Jack shows up, it's usually not a good sign....)
Luisa is the strong and responsible older sister that looks out for everyone.
Camilo is the child with limitless potential and has the aspects needed to be whatever he wants to be.
Delores is the gossip addict hence her super hearing.
Antonio is the child that's obsessed with animals. Maybe has a deeper bond with the family pet.
And Isabella is the golden child that can do no wrong.
Each family member is a stereotype that is in EVERY family. All families have at least ONE of these guys in their family. And their powers are a reflection of those stereotypes.
As for Mirabel. She's the Black Sheep of the family bc she has no Gift of her own. Black Sheep can either be good or bad depending on the person.
Oh yeah that’s definitely what they went for. There’s a page in the art book that talks about it. They wanted family archetypes that everyone could relate to…and then crank them up to 11

Somethings I noticed during this scene:
0:16 glowing butterflies appear on the archway.
0:45 Mirabel is the first and only one Casita brought inside until she called everyone else in, as if she has to welcome people inside, into her ‘room’, before they can enter. The house is solely hers and Casita is at her beck and call because of that.
And the butterflies are the exact same as the ones on Mirabel’s blouse
I blew my students' minds when I said that Mirabel had the strongest gift, because she _is_ the source of the power. Her love for her family is what makes them so strong.
I absolutely LOVE this movie. I can’t say it’s my favorite cause the classics will always have my childhood but as a mom with a kid who introduced me to this movie, it’s def the best in recent memory. Thank god I don’t have to watch frozen everyday anymore.

Mirabel's power is her family...all got a room where they find peace...mirabel finds peace in casita....so whole house is her room....as its her duty to keep the magic....

I've watched this movie with zero expectations and thought it would just be another frozen. Instead I found a gem and were thoroughly moved by the story. It's so simple and full of heart, and I can really relate to it. Disney, keep doing this please.

Mirabel still didn’t get a gift, yet saved her own family. She cares a lot much and tried saving the candle just because she didn’t want their family to get gift-less. This movie pretty much proves that even if you want something but don’t have, you’re still loved by people in your community/family. You don’t need them, you have everyone else.
Mirabel's gift IS the house. The window waved at her just like it did to abuela. Mirabel is gonna be in abuela's place now expect she doesn't need a candle.
@@pepamadrigal9062 I meant Mirabel still didn’t get a gift at the end. I also meant she could get one after the movie when Abuela is gone. She can be the future candleholder monarch, or be still gift-less after all. The movie can teach you to be important without specialities people have.
I don't like abuela so muchv yeah she became nice and fix her mistake after their fight but still I don't like that much so candleholder and that stuff its kinda boring it would be great if she get nothing or she got something I don't know just not candleholder next abuela or smth :(

Mirabel's gift is love. And a house without foundation of love will be broken.. that's why Mirabel become the leader. This movie really touched my soul. Best Disney's ever 🤧
0:19 Antonio’s face is everything in this scene. Like a kid coming down to find presents under a Christmas tree. But also happy to confirm what he knew: that everything would be all right after all.
I just love how to movie's message is that nothing can be perfect,but it is perfect in its own way.
Although it's sad that Bruno didn't get to see Mirabel grow up 😢he was lucky to see her having the honor of putting the doorknob on the front door 🙂

The pic at the end really shows that they're not perfect, but they're together, and that's perfect.
I love it when Isabela makes her dress blue with a couple of other colours too.
And I also like how most of one of the sleeves on her dress isn’t a different colour to how her normal dress was before.
you can tell with the end photo before casita pushes everyone together, Mirabel, Abuela and Bruno are all close together, showing us that they are the core of the family
The parallel of Mirabel entering the rebuilt Casita and Abuela entering the Casita for the first time is a really sweet detail (having the window on the second floor wave to them and for them to politely wave back) :]
I like how Antonio laughed when he get in the casita is so cute!!

I like the fact that when the magic returned the bedroom door glowed but didnt take on their names and pictures like before, showing they are not tied into their gift/role any more they have a sort of freedom now, i.e. Isabella being able to grow any flower not just roses

When I first saw this movie I thought Mirabell has no powers but then I learned that the power is that she has was communicating with the casita
I agree initially I think its odd that only she can communicate with the casita, and then I forgot all about it because I'm focusing to those gifted family members.

If that happens, i hope Isabella changes her mind about refusing to marry mariano, gets him back from dolores and goes back to her perfect self with a clean dress and completely black hair. I am so disappointed and sad with what Isabella did.

I absolutely adore this ending. The Madrigals finally united on every front like a true family. And coming from a Latino family myself where we can't stress enough the importance of family, it hits that sweet spot. How appropriate that Mirabel is standing between the two people who influenced her story the most in the final shot: Abuela and Bruno.
I love how this is like Mirabel having another gift ceremony where everyone is watching and the door lights up for her instead of disappearing :) And she gets to see that her gift is being the new candle 🕯, being the miracle itself :)
