Norton claims the government delays the distribution of allocated funds to avoid raising wages, eroding the relief's value due to inflation. Norton accuses Jagdeo of incompetence and self-deception, stating that he has no successful projects to his name, and criticizes his ridicule of highly qualified individuals like Dr. Vincent Adams, former CEO of the Environment Protection Agency in Guyana and petroleum expert.

Burnham banned essential items from the indoor-Guyanese groceries yet he allowed his PNC ministers to buy items on their travels to Caribbean states.
