You live in creek heaven. I wish I had those kinds of streams in my neck of the woods - fast running streams with calm pools full of bass, I especially appreciate how you revere these fish. You always treat them with respect, admire their fight, and then gently release them. A meat fisherman, you are not (and I know this sounds like Yoda).
Wow what an amazing day on a beautiful creek. So glad I could ride along. Keep up the good work work, did I say work, shame on me. Loving your adventures I feel like I’m right there!
Your intro on this video was the best. Its called fishing not catching. You caught caught some very nice creek bass very beautiful fish. I enjoy your channel more then any of the other fishing channel on UA-cam. Plus thank you John for sharing your videos with us. God bless you John and keep up the great work .🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊😊😊
Them there Creek Bass will give ya a real fight, every single time! Love the introduction that you gave. It was in a Narrative form, and was very befitting of this video. Great Scripture Verse, too! We can't save ourselves-only God can. When God does the saving, the saving is done right! God bless you, and remember-Less than 3,000 subscribers to go, to get to that 100,000 subscribers mark! You'd already gotten to 50,000 subscribers in the Spring of last year. Now, you're not too far away from DOUBLE that amount! I love it! Catch ya later, Brother John!
I like John's offbeat videos. Like the retention pond where he lost that huge bass on the shiner, or that creek that had a mattress in it, or the creek that had the partially submerged pick up truck. Classic CFA videos that have nearly a million views.
@Straight To The Point Outdoors I agree. The smallmouth bass kayak videos aren't as good as the out of the way creek, wading or bank fishing multi species videos.
Love the monolog intro...Creek Fishing...the last relaxing frontier...sorry John it was too easy. I'll be doing some of that this weekend. I appreciate the dedication to the goals "I'm going to catch fish on a spinnerbait today". Nailed it. Then a good backup finesse bait for the followers. Saw 1 of the fish chasing the sick one...thanks for your testimony and sharing the adventure.
Not bad on the fishing end also like that release where that bad scoots across the water I think that's happened before must have them trained well put on a show for the crowd hahaha!
I like seeing you use a whacky worm rig. Thats what we call it in Texas. It supposedly started on Toledo Bend lake in Texas back in the late 80's early 90's. I've caught more fish with that simple set up. I've fished very few creeks and rivers but your channel has me wanting to do it more!
I'm not even kidding, when you rolled up on that first Smallie, I was thinking there is a smallie right there, you cast right where I was looking and BOOM!
At the old swimming hole in my old home town. I told you it held smallies. I used to fish when it was alot deeper. They changed the flow about 35 years ago when they put in apartments. Then all the fluds through the years. Above trussel it was 5 ft. deep. Glad to see you catching one. I will be back one day.
I wonder if the largemouth at the 8:39 mark had a soft plastic stuck in em. We had a discussion about soft plastics on a thread a few days ago. Interesting topic that I believe is over looked.
Maybe you can get a uv-filter for your go pro. Those clear streams remind me of a place below a dam on the Menomonee River in Upper Michigan. Tons of great memories as a kid wading around there catching smallies, rock bass, and the occasional pike and walleye.
Some nice fish this session Grats! I have that reel, the Abu Garcia Elite Max in the 10 size on a medium light rod for river Smallmouth fishing. Love the reel. It casts great is light and smooth. It has great casting distance with light lures and line.
It's really strange how that just so happens to be the case, sometimes. I was fishing a creek years ago, and there was a brush tangle out on the other side of the creek. I cast out my lure to within about a foot of that tangle, and ended up catching a nice Smallmouth Bass that was between 15-16 inches long. Kind of chunky, too. The thing is, is that creek, while it has some fair-sized fish in it, isn't really that big, and a lot of the fish aren't much bigger than 10-12 inches long. I really got lucky that day!
@Straight To The Point Outdoors I'm not mad in the slightest. I was giving him advice. A collab would do 1000x more for his channel than thirsting for subs in other people's comment sections.
@@Grannyknockers not exactly sure how this is advertising. I would love to collaborate if we could! I’m actually a huge fan of creek fishing adventures and have been for a while! Lol
You should try the gulp minnows watermelon pearl 4 inch. Number 2 hook. With a small split shop about 6 inches above the minnow. Throw it Upstream bring it towards yourself barely twitching it to make it look like a dying meno or just let it float Downstream doing the same thing Smallmouth will wear it out especially in the Clearwater
Nice creek with nice bass. Have you had any luck with the orange merthiolate colored worms? Bass seem to like the light colored ones especially bubble gum. Great video
You make it look so easy. You should try Blue River by Tishomingo OK. It is perfect place for a video. I would love to see how you catch fish threre. I went last weekend and only got 2 bass all day but I know they are there. A local said he got several that day.
I looked up how long a bass can live out of water, it said up to 15 minutes, so I think he did just fine on the release time, plus all the fish are swimming away, their fine
Love your content. Inquiry: Give me your basic setup for a successful creek adventure. Like, I'm going to Walmart and have 70$ in my pocket, what do I buy? God bless
You should consider a different way to lip these bass...yes they close their mouth when release for the most part...but what jaw muscles did you bruise or slightly tear due to the way you lip them?... are you able to change your technique...

AMEN! Wow! Those were some great creek bass John! I luv watching you fish those creeks! Brings back memories!
This is my life. I have a shallow creek that I fish and it has become my favorite place to fish. The variety of fish and their strength is amazing.
Awesome trip! Thanks for bringing me along! Please keep up the great job!

Some nice creek bass, always fun to see what is in some of the smaller/shallow waters

What a gift it is!!! Awesome fishing once again!
That creek is loaded with chunkers! It's amazing what you can find in small waters.
An other good one. Great day out in the water.
Great video John, that's a nice looking creek for sure, and great fish to boot! Be safe brother!
Isn't it wonderful being able to enjoy God's great outdoors and the creatures he put there for everyone to enjoy..

Not bad on the fishing end also like that release where that bad scoots across the water I think that's happened before must have them trained well put on a show for the crowd hahaha!
Great video, I love walking the creeks aliasing the deeper pockets. Me and my son used to do that all the time.
That was one of the strongest small mouth I have ever seen. Great video!
Love the nature shots intro. I’d watch a full video of just that!
I enjoy looking at the your clear creek's in the area.
Great creek fishing adventure, John! Blessings!
Great philosophy and great video!
Looks like a great creek for crayfish imitating lures or patterns.

Man wearing out the tanks today…. Nicely done
That was awesome!👍

good verse to read daily.
Sometimes shallow creeks can be loaded for sure! We filmed a video in a shallow creek recently! Tight lines 🔥🎣
Not sure that using someone else's page to promote your own is the way to go. How about reaching out and seeing if he wants to do a collab video?

Nice creek fishing adventure!
You should try creek fishing with the micro pen rod
Im a recently new subscriber. Love the videos man. Keep up the amazing content.
Nice creek and catches!

I would be using the crickhopper this time of year lol
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
I love the intro monologue
Pretty good especially with a spinnerbait that normally would be considered as a cold, dirty water offering.
Wow nice place
I would most often walk away from a clear and shallow creek because I would expect to see any fish it might hold upon approaching it.
Nice creek with nice bass. Have you had any luck with the orange merthiolate colored worms? Bass seem to like the light colored ones especially bubble gum. Great video

Great 👍
Do you use polorized sunglasses to help see the fish ?? -- great vlog again !!
Good video as usual.
This is excellent video , I enjoyed that !
Fishing is life
Fiesty smallmouth Jon!!
Amen!
Wow what a great hook fishing friend big like and share your video friend👌👌👌
What rod were you using?
That’s what I do in creeks I use all fast moving baits and then on way back I go to slow baits
I like spinner and buzz baits
4:11 those are the best things invented to not make your shoes come untied. We put them on all of our boots
Great stuff~
Where in Tennessee is this
What size was the spinnerbaits? Keep up the good work
That smallmouth looked like something had taken a nibble on it.
A good days fishing
Great video!
When we gonna tackle nolin buddy
You keep the fish out of the water to Long how long can you hold your breath
I looked up how long a bass can live out of water, it said up to 15 minutes, so I think he did just fine on the release time, plus all the fish are swimming away, their fine
